"When planning my trip to Osaka, I was looking for a hotel with a good location and ended up staying at Dotonbori Crystal Hotel. To get straight to the point, this is a hotel I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodation near Dotonbori. The biggest advantage is, without a doubt, its location. It's incredibly close to the heart of Dotonbori, so I could walk to the Glico sign, Dotonbori River, and all the famous food streets. It was so convenient to walk back to the hotel even after staying out late at night, which made my travel itinerary much smoother. I felt it was the perfect location for anyone planning an Osaka trip focused on shopping and food. The room condition was also better than expected. While rooms in Japanese city hotels aren't typically very spacious, it was clean and well-organized, so I didn't experience any inconvenience. The bed was comfy, allowing me to rest well even after a long day of walking, and the lighting and ambiance of the room were cozy, making it a great place to relax. The bathroom was also clean, and the shower pressure was excellent, perfect for washing away the day's fatigue. The staff were also really friendly. The check-in and check-out process was..."

"Location is perfect. Breakfast was perfect. Lounge would be better with more food varieties but they had a lot of drinks options including sake, champagne, wine and beer on top of the usuals which was great. One thing i didnt like is that their rooms are super tiny. We got a triple room and it was so tight. Next maybe two doubles is required for more space. Another disappointment is that they don't provide lotion which i think is a basic amenity. And that every certain hours of the night 10-ish -2am (everyday) you can hear super noisy motorcycles revving in the main street randomly. (I guess that's not directly their fault buy maybe they could opt for a more soundproof window or something.)"

"The hotel is super close to the subway station, right at the exit. The room was generally clean, and both comfort and quietness were good. It's a bit of a walk from the JR station, about 15 minutes. Breakfast was quite expensive, so I didn't eat at the hotel; there's a Matsuya across the street which was a good alternative."

"The room was quite spacious; we could open two large suitcases comfortably. The buffet breakfast was excellent, offering both Japanese and Western options, and the dining environment was pleasant. Overall, the facilities and service were good."

The front desk and staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making both check-in and check-out a breeze. "The hotel is quite new and very clean, with modern facilities and comfortable rooms. The lobby can get a bit crowded at times, but that is quite common for hotels located in the city center of Osaka. The service is average—staff are generally helpful, though not particularly exceptional. Overall, it is a good option for travelers who value a clean and convenient place to stay in a central location"

"Had an enjoyable stay here at Mercure! Amenities were complete, housekeeping & receptionists were friendly and able to converse in English which made our stay more pleasant. Location of the hotel is sooo convenient. - a 10-min walk from Shinsaibashi/Namba station - has family mart and donki nearby - taxi fare from the hotel to Nankai Namba Station (for the airport) was 1,400 won - all you have to do is cross the main road and you’ll already arrive at Shinsaibashi shopping street! My luggage was also damaged during my flight to Osaka, so the staff politely helped to handle the disposal of my luggage for free. The only thing that slightly bothered me was the superrrr dark lighting in the room. There were times I had to use my phone’s flashlight to find things but it was still bearable for me. Overall, thank you, Mercure :)"

"Excellent location! right just next to the shopping street and the Tsūtenkaku Tower. Supermarkets, pharmacy stores and restaurants are  just downstairs. 3 mins walk to Daiso, mega Donki, metro & JR station. Staff very friendly. Free coffee, water & tea all day. Complimentary beer for each guest. Room clean and spacious. Highly recommended !"

"I had an unfortunate experience at this hotel. After one night, I developed multiple itchy bites, which could be bed bugs and raised concerns about room hygiene. That said, I really liked the room the space was great and it was very comfortable. The location and overall convenience are also hard to complain about. I would also like to compliment the staff once I requested a room change, they handled it promptly and were very helpful. I hope the hotel can address this issue to improve future guests’ experiences."
