"Hotel REF by HMI in Izumisano is my go-to choice whenever I have an early morning flight. The prices are reasonable, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The highlight for me is definitely the hotel's large public bath and outdoor rotenburo (open-air hot spring) on the top floor – a soak there in the evening is incredibly relaxing and helps melt away fatigue. Plus, the hotel is less than 100 meters from Izumisano Station; you can see it right after exiting the subway. It's also just two stops away from Kansai Airport, making its location absolutely excellent!"

Service: The service was very attentive. Staff were proactive in offering help and greeted guests warmly. There's also a shuttle bus service to and from Osaka Station. Facilities: The room decor is old-fashioned, and the wooden furniture has a vintage feel. Surroundings: Fujita Museum is nearby and worth a visit – it's small but beautiful."

Zentis Osaka is the debut property of Palace Hotel Group's Zentis label, a brand with designs to raise the bar on select-service hospitality. Subtly edgy, wonderfully Japanese and naturally resplendent, the upscale lifestyle hotel pays homage to a city known for its industrious charm with its modern, industrial chic look and laid-back feel. Set in a garden all of its own, Zentis Osaka presents an urban oasis where the riverside business area of Dojimahama and the high-end entertainment district of Kita-shinchi meet. Nakanoshima, an islet that’s home to some of the city’s premium attractions – including the Nakanoshima Museum of Art which opened in 2022, the Osaka Science Museum and the National Museum of Art, Osaka – is a leisurely ten-minute stroll from the hotel. Osaka Station, the city’s main rail hub, is a mere five-minute taxi ride while the two major airports that service Osaka – Kansai International Airport and Itami Airport (Osaka International Airport) – are located less than an hour’s drive away.

"It was a very enjoyable stay. It is conveniently located near multiple train stations, all of which are walking distance from the hotel. The room is spacious and very clean. We stayed on the 13th floor and had a great view .The whole hotel smells incredible. The hotel also provides you a range of masculine, feminine and gender neutral scents located on level 2 in the laundry room. You also have access to an iron in that room. The staff are very attentive as well. I will definitely be returning to this hotel for our future Osaka stays"

"Our club triple room was incredibly clean, offering a panoramic view of the city. Below, the intricate Japanese railway system stretched out. The breakfast was very satisfying, though the à la carte ordering made my child feel a bit restricted. The hotel is located in Umeda, but after exiting the JR station, it takes some searching to find as it's not in the central Umeda area. It's not particularly convenient, but we were very happy with the room. The toiletries were from Guerlain, and dining downstairs was also quite convenient. However, after 9 PM, only the 'Lanting' Chinese restaurant was open, truly showcasing the diligence and resilience of the Chinese people."

"The location is extremely convenient. If you're looking for an old-school hotel vibe, you might find it here, but the facilities are really outdated – I couldn't stand them. The showerhead was in the bathtub and there was no separate shower, which was a real deal-breaker for me. I'll definitely stick to newer hotels from now on. The Japanese restaurant on the fifth floor was pretty good; I had sushi for a reasonable price, with 16k and 26k options available."

"The hotel's location is excellent. Right downstairs, there's an airport shuttle bus stop and a Kintetsu station, making it a crucial hub for exploring Kansai. The front desk even has Chinese-speaking staff, so there are absolutely no language barrier concerns. For the price point and typical Japanese room sizes, the value for money is really high. The bathroom is a decent size, while the bedroom is a bit compact. The room was cleaned daily and was always spotless. A truly great stay!"

The staff was attentive and very friendly.  ( my only suggestion was the mattress was too soft. not sure if Marriott use standardise mattress, the marriott which i visited previously did not have this problem) The hotel is directly above JR and metro station. Very convenient.  The room view was excellent"

"We were upgraded to a suite, which was a pleasant surprise given how spacious it was – quite rare for Japan. It's an older five-star hotel with a free shuttle service to the city center and it's right next to a subway station. The river in front of the hotel offers a nice view too. If you walk about 700-800 meters, you'll find plenty of great food options, especially a noodle shop that's ranked second in Osaka – absolutely delicious and unforgettable!"

YyucongseuExcellent stay! The room was very spacious, and the facilities and service were consistently up to InterContinental standards. The view from the window was great, offering a glimpse of the red Ferris wheel. The location is superb, right next to Osaka Station and Umeda Station, making transportation incredibly convenient. DDengjiacaiyunThe location is fantastic, right in the Umeda shopping district, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. Osaka Station is just across the street, so getting anywhere is a breeze. The room comes with a free mini-bar, and the toiletries are super comprehensive, including facial cleanser, skincare products, and even face masks – and they provide enough for three people! The bed is huge and really comfortable, and the room itself is clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet completely exceeded my expectations; it's hands down the best breakfast I've had at any Japanese hotel I've stayed at in Osaka so far.

Oolive1219The location is absolutely unbeatable. Downstairs, you'll find Hermès and Daimaru, and VCA is super close too. It's incredibly convenient for shopping! If it weren't for the huge price hike during the May Day holiday, I would definitely have stayed here again after coming back from Kyoto. However, the soundproofing is a bit lacking. It can get a bit noisy at night if there are motorcycles cruising by, but it's not constant, so it didn't really affect my sleep much. The bathroom felt a bit old-fashioned, but the toiletries and skincare products provided were quite good.

ZZHGKI originally booked a W Suite and arrived at 12 PM hoping to secure a high-floor room, but was only given the 8th floor. So, I paid more to upgrade to a Marvelous Suite. Honestly, the hardware facilities are excellent, but! If you want to experience differential treatment, this W is the place to be. First, someone else's laundry was mistakenly delivered to our suite. When I told the front desk, they were dismissive, merely saying someone would come to collect it, without even an apology. Later, while we were out, they left two boxes of Pocky biscuits... truly perfunctory. Then, we went to the Living Room on the third floor for drinks, and the server was practically bowing to Caucasian guests, while being very dismissive towards us. Around 10 PM, I called their 24/7 Whatever/Whenever service for an extra duvet, and they told me they had none left. The next day, I ordered room service through the Bonvoy app, and since I couldn't find the order on the web version, I called again to confirm. They said they'd call me back after checking with room service, but the meal arrived and I never got a call back. It felt like they didn't care about their guests at all. Also, the suite's minibar is entirely chargeable, and there are no additional services. It really felt like I paid a hefty price just to rent the room itself. I can't really praise the service from a five-star Marriott-branded hotel. This review is a heads-up for anyone considering booking this hotel. Though I doubt W Osaka will care about my review; they're always fully booked and don't lack customers. Oh, and the front desk concierge who spoke Chinese were all from Taiwan.

GGigi GweeIt is our first time staying near that area, and we wanted to find a hotel near to Tennoji zoo. it is a very kids friendly hotel, breakfast varieties not not, basically japanese food, but it's tasty and decent, but due to eco friendly policy, they will not come and clean your room everyday except throwing trash and replacing new towel. on the overall, stay was comfortable.

SSRjuneI arrived at 10:30. It was sunny so everything looked really nice! The staff is so kind and gave me the room right away so was even more impressed. The hallway is lined with carpet, but doesn’t smell stuffy. The room is spacious and well design. I love that they have a little lounge area by the bed. The room doesn’t have a bathtub, but I find it really nice because lately I have been very skeptical and a little bit scared to use Hotel’s bathtub so I think taking it out is good. The room even have steam iron. The glass that is provided in the room is good quality very thin. They have an espresso machine in the room as well, which is a nice touch. The location is a little bit off, but not that bad.

AAnonymous UserAbsolutely loved this hotel! All the staff were so enthusiastic and genuinely warm. The room was the largest we had during our entire trip to Japan. While the furnishings felt a bit dated, they were exceptionally well-maintained, and there wasn't that old room smell; it was very clean. The breakfast was generally good. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Sapporo Station, the airport limousine bus stop is right outside, and there's a Lawson convenience store just across the street. This will definitely be our top choice for our next visit to Sapporo.

MMiqixiaofantuanComing from Tokyo, I thought I had the Shinkansen system down, but Osaka Station definitely taught me a lesson! I got lost as soon as I exited the subway, and we only found the hotel because my husband could read the map. I'd highly recommend taking a taxi if it's your first time in Umeda and heading to this hotel! However, once we got our bearings, we realized the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! Osaka Station is just 200 meters across the street! Hankyu Station and Umeda Station are also nearby. Within 500 meters, you'll find the Umeda shopping district: Hankyu Department Store, LUCUA, LUCUA 1100, Daimaru Department Store, Yodobashi Camera, and Hankyu Sanbangai are all in the vicinity – a shopper's paradise! The best part is the time-saving aspect; if you buy too much to carry, you can just drop it off at the hotel and head out again – plenty of time, haha. Most importantly, it's also quite close to Universal Studios Japan. A 17-minute subway ride from Osaka Station makes it incredibly convenient. **Service:** While I didn't find any staff who spoke Chinese, they were very friendly towards Chinese guests. My basic English was sufficient. You'll need to pay the deposit with cash or a Visa card. **Accommodation:** Since the price is a bit higher than the Shinsaibashi area, the rooms are also larger. This is the biggest hotel room I've stayed in Japan, and the accommodation was excellent and very clean. The only downside was that the hairdryer had very weak airflow and was loud, making it a struggle to dry my hair.
