"This hotel was a pleasant surprise! I usually go for the complimentary hotel options with my layovers, but choosing this one, even for under 100 RMB, was a real win. It's incredibly clean, spacious, and super convenient with its proximity to the airport and free shuttle service. They even gave us complimentary flower cakes, which were delicious! Honestly, I can't find a single fault.

The shuttle service to and from Changshui Airport was excellent. The driver was so helpful, loading and unloading everyone's luggage. What struck me was that hardly anyone thanked him. It felt… I don't even know how to describe it. I made sure to say thank you, and the driver responded, which really touched me.
I mean, isn't a simple 'thank you' just basic courtesy, even if it's part of their job? It doesn't cost anything, but it can certainly make someone feel appreciated."

"This hotel has some outstanding advantages. First, the location is excellent. It's within walking distance to Green Lake, Kunming Old Street, Yunnan Military Academy, and the former site of the National Southwestern Associated University, which is very convenient. You'll also pass by many beautiful alleyways along the way. Second, the breakfast selection is rich and delicious. Although the facilities are a bit old, they're still good. The area that needs improvement is the service. This time, my check-in experience was a bit unpleasant. First, there weren't enough staff at the front desk, and then someone cut in line. When I told the person who cut in line to queue up, this rude traveler verbally abused me, but the front desk staff remained indifferent and continued to process their check-in. Fortunately, I later found the lobby manager, who showed a positive attitude, offered a sincere apology, and deeply recognized the issue (see photo 1). They immediately took measures to prevent queue-cutting by placing barriers. They also promised to strengthen training and management to improve service awareness. I hope to see real improvements in the future."

"I haven't stayed at Atour many times, but I chose this Atour for my first night in Kunming, mainly because of its excellent location. It's very close to Kunming Station and near Kunming Old Street, so I could explore the night scenery there. The parking lot is on the fourth floor across the street. You have to carry your luggage down to the first floor, cross the street, take an elevator to the seventh floor, and then reach the Atour front desk, which was a bit inconvenient. The room wasn't very big, and both the bed and duvet felt a bit small. However, all the facilities and equipment were brand new. I'm particular about the comfort of shower facilities, and they proved to be excellent, even better than those at the InterContinental Kunming where I stayed later. The congee in the evening was thick and delicious, very refreshing. The gym, though small, was fully equipped, and they even placed a bottle of water on each piece of equipment, showing great attention to detail. While breakfast wasn't particularly lavish, the staff were exceptionally good. Even when they announced that they were about to close, they were still refilling depleted food items, which many hotels costing thousands wouldn't necessarily do. Overall, after this short stay, I'm very satisfied with Atour; I feel like I've become a fan."

"This was my first time in Kunming, and I initially booked the wrong dates for another hotel, but everything happens for a reason, and it led me to book this place. The area outside is very quiet, feels like a pedestrian street, which is lovely. Inside, it's also beautiful. It's only my first day checking in, and I couldn't wait to post a review!
The service is excellent too. As soon as I walked in, a lobby attendant helped me with my luggage. The hotel only has three floors, and even though there's no elevator, the attendant helped carry my bags upstairs. My luggage was really heavy, so I truly appreciate his effort. The front desk ladies were also wonderful and very patient.
The laundry service is convenient: you just put your clothes in a bag, leave it by your door, and the staff will wash, dry, and return them to your room.
They also offer breakfast, afternoon tea, and a goodnight dessert. You need to pre-select your breakfast the day before – I'll try it tomorrow. But the afternoon tea and goodnight dessert were truly delicious! Even though I booked this place last minute, I was genuinely impressed."

GGuest UserThe hotel butler contacted us a day in advance and added us on WeChat to send directions, which was very convenient for communication. The hotel facilities are complete, the bedding is comfortable, and the shower has great water pressure. There are eight breakfast sets in total: five are mainly rice noodles, one is noodles, one is congee, and one is pasta and sandwiches. The hotel is conveniently located; it's right next to Jinma Biji Square, a 500-meter walk to Kunming Old Street, and 1.2 kilometers to Cuihu Park.

GGuest UserI chose this hotel because it's close to the airport, as I had an early morning flight. They offer a free airport shuttle service, and I'd like to thank the driver who worked hard to drop me off at 4 AM. The room was quite spacious and featured smart amenities. The breakfast selection was limited, but the taste was decent, and they had freshly ground coffee.
I'm giving a low rating because on the day I checked in, the front desk told me that downloading a mini-program would upgrade me to a 'deluxe room.' As a frequent business traveler, I can usually tell the difference between room standards. The so-called deluxe room was very ordinary and located on a low floor facing the street. I asked to change rooms, but the other rooms I saw were similar to the 'deluxe' one, which gave me a bad first impression.
Most importantly, I didn't get a good night's sleep for either of the two nights I stayed due to poor soundproofing. On the first night, the neighbors were making a lot of noise, chatting and singing until midnight. My room didn't have a phone, so after contacting the front desk, they said they'd send someone over right away, but no one came to address the issue for a long time. I had to bang on the wall to get them to quiet down a bit. On the second night, the neighbors were still talking non-stop until very late, and the shops downstairs were playing music until midnight. I had to wake up at 4 AM the next day for my flight, but the noise kept me from sleeping well. It was a very bad stay, and I won't be coming back.

SShuijingxieI took my kids out for a vacation on May Day. The experience was five-star praise, and the service was very good. The environment was garden-style and very comfortable! The restaurant has a complete range of delicious dishes, and there is also a book bar and hot springs. A SPA was also given. It was a very good experience and I will come again if I have the chance. I will also recommend it to friends.

ZZYH0926I spent a few days touring Kunming and chose this hotel for my last night, and I was quite satisfied with the experience. It's right next to a subway station, which was convenient for my trip to Dounan Flower Market. The IELTS Restaurant on the 4th floor is very stylish, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. There's also a laundry room on the 11th floor. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kunming.

The decor has a classic feel, perhaps from 20 or 30 years ago, but it's incredibly well-maintained and refined. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and upgraded me to a suite. They even noticed I was holding a takeout bag and, without me saying a word, knew I wanted to throw it away – that was really thoughtful! I'll definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Kunming.

The location is an absolute winner; it's super convenient to take the subway to Kunming Station, the airport, and Dounan Flower Market. Plus, you're practically at Jiubei Tower, making it perfect for exploring the old town anytime. Ideal for tourists!

The moment I stepped out of the car, a young man immediately helped with my luggage, which was a warm welcome and a sign of excellent service. Isabel had already contacted me on WeChat a day in advance, asking about my needs and trying her best to accommodate them. She became my personal butler throughout my stay, always ready to answer any questions. The enthusiasm from Grace and Andy was the driving force behind my decision to extend my stay. Many of the hotel's facilities are thoughtfully designed, and the attention to detail truly shows the hotel's commitment to guest comfort. This will definitely be my go-to hotel whenever I'm in Kunming. On a side note, the hotel's breakfast, both in terms of ambiance and quality, truly lives up to its five-star reputation. This stay in Kunming perfectly capped off my Yunnan trip.
