"When I booked, I specifically requested a quiet room, but the location they gave us was simply unbelievable. The room service staff were very good, I'll give them that, but it was so noisy. The soundproofing is truly terrible. I'm not talking about airplanes flying overhead; it's the constant noise from the hallway that's too loud, like a sports meet is happening right outside! It was supposed to be a family room, but there was no kids' club access, no app, and no screen mirroring! The bed was indeed comfortable, but what's going on with the air conditioning? When we first arrived, it was set to cool, but in the middle of the night, we woke up sweating because it was blowing hot air? Did you randomly adjust it for us? We couldn't even control it ourselves. The smart assistant just kept saying 'I'm here' but couldn't adjust the AC or open the curtains! Is this really a smart room? Only the cleanliness and bed comfort were somewhat satisfactory. The BBQ downstairs was both expensive and terrible!"

"The hotel is at a perfect location.. its close to good eateries, tea shops, leather shop and even jade stores.. The deluxe room has a Japanese feel to it! Gorgeous and comfortable..! Communication with hotel staff are also easy, they can speak fluent English and are very helpful. Overall a good stay! Definitely recommended!"

The front desk staff was lovely; the lady at reception paid close attention to the notes I left on Trip.com and even gave me an eye mask. The location is super convenient for transport on weekends, and dining is a breeze with all sorts of malls downstairs and the old street right next door. I originally booked a standard room for my one-night stay, specifically requesting a clean, non-smoking room. To my surprise, they upgraded me for free! 🥰 The room was huge, beautiful, and spotless, with absolutely no smoke smell, which was a huge plus. There were three distinct seating areas: a desk for working, a two-seater area with a wall-side sofa perfect for takeout, and a comfy lounge chair on the other side, great for watching movies on the projector 🎞️. The bathroom was also sparkling clean (a germaphobe like me was thrilled!). They even provided disposable toilet seat covers, which was a nice touch. You could tell the toiletries were of high quality; my boyfriend even commented on the shiny packaging and how the toothbrush wasn't stiff and cheap like some hotel amenities (he said, 'Chinese products are really good!' 😂). The bedding was excellent too, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the surrounding area was quiet, allowing for proper rest. For anyone traveling to the high-speed rail station the next day, the location is super convenient – just a 13-minute walk! There are also plenty of food and drink options nearby. This stay was genuinely exceptional! Highly recommended! ✨"

"My stay at the 'Yifangju Designer Courtyard' in Kunming's Nanping Pedestrian Street was a wonderful surprise! Tucked away right by the bustling street, you step out to all sorts of snacks and shops, but the moment you walk in, it's instantly quiet. The 'tranquility amidst the bustle' design is brilliant. The room blends industrial style with old Kunming elements – exposed red brick walls, vintage chandeliers, and designer furniture. Every corner has so much character; I couldn't stop taking photos. The mattress was just right, not too soft, not too firm, and the bedding was super comfortable. I slept soundly until I woke up naturally. The owner was incredibly warm and even hand-drew a local food map for us. Their recommendations for 'Douhua Rice Noodles' and 'Grilled Rushan Cheese' were absolutely amazing! The rooftop terrace offers a view of the old street at night; it was so pleasant to enjoy the breeze, drink tea, and chat in the evening. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kunming. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves unique design and a taste of local life!"

"Traveling from Laos via the China-Laos Railway, I had a layover in Kunming and saw the Jinjiang Grand Hotel offering such a great deal, so I booked it without hesitation. It's very close to Kunming Station, about a 6-minute walk from the North Square. Upon check-in, I received complimentary welcome fruit, earplugs, and a steam eye mask. While the room facilities are indeed a bit old, they were spotlessly clean and well-maintained, tidy and odor-free. The service was very appropriate, with a robot delivering meals. At check-out, I was given a complimentary flower pastry, which was delicious."

"So glad I chose this hotel! Liruide Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Its location is fantastic, just a short walk from Cuihu Park (unlike many other hotels that claim to be near but are much further). There are also countless excellent restaurants and shops nearby, offering plenty of choices. The hotel itself is superb. Being on a high floor, the Sky Bar and restaurant on the 19th floor offer panoramic views of Cuihu Park and the beautiful cityscape of Kunming. If you book a lake view room, you can enjoy the stunning views of Cuihu Lake right from your room, which was a wonderful surprise. The hotel's decor, with its strong contrast of classic black, red, and grey, feels modern, stylish, and tasteful from the moment you step into the lobby. I especially loved the ”ENJOY IT” neon signs in the lobby and restaurant; indeed, you can truly enjoy all the beauty Liruide has to offer. My room, though not large, was incredibly comfortable. The bedding ensured a good night's sleep. It was spotlessly clean, and the shower had great water pressure and hot water, draining super fast (many hotels struggle with drainage, but Liruide nailed this detail). The smart toilet was a nice bonus. While breakfast wasn't lavish, it featured local Yunnan specialties and was more than sufficient. A freshly made rice noodle roll with a generous topping of braised meat was the perfect way to start a day full of energy. What truly touched me was the friendly and thoughtful staff. After checking out, I had a video conference in the lobby, and a staff member specially lowered the lobby music volume for me and kindly brought a bottle of water. A huge thank you to Mr. Curry at the front desk for his meticulous service. Your kind and warm attention made us feel as comfortable and wonderful as if we were home, which is a rare treat for those of us constantly on the go. Oh, and the rose petal shortbread offered at check-in was absolutely delicious! The rich rose fragrance bloomed in my mouth with just the right touch of sweetness – unforgettable. For parking, you can drive onto the sidewalk, inform the front desk, and a staff member will immediately valet park your car. After a two-day stay, my experience was simply perfect. The next time I'm in Kunming for business, I'll definitely book here in advance to enjoy it all again."
