"I booked this hotel for my first and last day in Lhasa, and the service was absolutely fantastic! When I arrived, a security guard helped me with my luggage. On the day I left, a staff member saw I was in a hurry to catch my flight and helped carry my bags and saw me off. The hotel is clean and hygienic. Since it was my second time staying, the front desk小姐姐 (a polite way to refer to a female staff member) even upgraded me to an executive room when other rooms were available, which offered a view of the Potala Palace. The experience was truly amazing!"

Hotel near Barkhor Street/Jokhang Temple,Lhasa
Tangka Hotel (Tangka Jiudian) is next to Jokhang Temple Square, close to Jokhang Temple. The interior decoration of the hotel features in Tibetan style. This hotel offers single rooms, standard rooms and suites. Each is equipped with Internet access.The hotel's restaurant serves Chinese and Western cuisines with Tibetan cuisine as its specialty.

"Satisfactory aspects: The room was nice and had ethnic characteristics; the hotel's location was excellent (we had a travel companion with mobility issues); the service and communication were very satisfactory (there was a third-party system error with another platform regarding room extensions, but the front desk staff were very patient in communicating with them, and the receptionist, Yangji, provided excellent service; the overall service quality was also very good); the breakfast was delicious and we were very satisfied; the room cleaning was also satisfactory. -- The only unsatisfactory aspect was: the toothbrush bristles were shedding. After rinsing my mouth, 5 or 6 bristles got stuck between my teeth, and I had to stop and pull them out while rinsing. (Bringing your own toothbrush solved this problem.) -- Suggestion: If possible, if the hotel renovates again, it could add features catering to younger travelers (such as self-service laundry and a self-service bar). -- There are attractions downstairs, and you can walk to Namased Restaurant. It's conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to get around. The attached pictures show nearby attractions and restaurants."

The ChunQiu Oxygen-Rich Hotel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The ChunQiu Oxygen-Rich Hotel offers a pleasant stay in Lhasa for those traveling for business or leisure. With Lasa Railway Station just 8km away and Lhasa Gonggar International Airport only 60km away, transportation is very convenient. With Potala Palace, Snow City, Potala Palace and Podrang Sarba, Sakya Monastery all within a short distance, there is no shortage of things to do in the area. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This Lhasa hotel features parking on site. When it comes to Lhasa hotels, the ChunQiu Oxygen-Rich Hotel is highly regarded for its excellent facilities. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with friends.

"Pros: Hotel staff are friendly and the location is close to the main tourist district and the Potala Palace. There are restaurants available near the hotel. One thing was that I communicated with the front desk staff to not disturb me the next morning and that I will let them know when they could clean the room coz I was exhausted due to high altitude sickness and unable to sleep throughout the night, however, the cleaning staff banged on the door at 12 noon asking if they could clean the room. When I booked this hotel on Trip.com, it says also includes one afternoon tea per day, and I booked 9 nights. It turned out isn't true and was not told until I asked the front desk. The hotel staff only responded that in fact the afternoon tea has been cancelled since Dec 2025 and did not provide anything else. With this incident plus laundry only allows 5 pieces/day and doesn't wash inner wear like socks/underwear. I honestly feel that there are a lot more other choices at this price."

The Holiday Inn Express LHASA POTALA PALACE by IHG provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Holiday Inn Express LHASA POTALA PALACE by IHG is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Lhasa. With Lasa Railway Station just 6km away and Lhasa Gonggar International Airport only 58km away, transportation is very convenient. With multiple attractions nearby including Chuanzang Highway Monument, Qianfo Mountain and Tibet Museum, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Lhasa hotel features parking on site. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with friends.

"Our room was upgraded to a family room, room 327. To be honest, the hotel is located quite deep in an alley, about a 500-meter walk from the main road... All the room windows are single-paned and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years... The towels and bath towels were all dated 2023 and weren't very soft anymore. We booked through Ctrip, which helped with the room upgrade and included complimentary breakfast. Don't expect too much from this hotel; it's quite different from a Holiday Inn Express on the mainland. The breakfast was just passable, nothing to write home about. After all those downsides, let's talk about the positives: it's incredibly cheap. Booked on Ctrip during the off-peak season (August 31st - September 3rd), and with a Lhasa culture and tourism subsidy voucher, it came down to about 160 RMB per night. Secondly, you need a key card to access the floors, which makes it quiet and secure. If you're traveling independently and plan to be out sightseeing daily, the location is a bit far. It's about 2.5 km to Potala Palace (15 RMB by taxi) and roughly 3.5 km to Jokhang Temple. Lhasa's cost of living is much higher than Chengdu's. You'll notice it significantly in taxi fares and dining expenses. This was my first visit, and I didn't experience altitude sickness. I found it truly beautiful. Here are a few recommendations: 🚩FYI: I didn't take Rhodiola before entering Tibet and didn't experience altitude sickness upon landing. The hotel I stayed at upon arrival didn't provide oxygen, and I didn't even buy an oxygen tank, yet I adapted just fine. So, flying into Tibet is the most relaxed way. Traveling by train or self-driving is exhausting, and you're just as likely to get altitude sickness anyway. 🔹Attractions: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Ramoche Temple, Sera Monastery, Tibet Museum, Princess Wencheng Show, Chakpori Hill viewpoint, Barkhor Street... I recommend exploring at your own pace, taking it easy... stopping frequently and avoiding strenuous exercise. 🔸Food: Sichuan cuisine dominates. Aside from those speaking *******, everyone else speaks Sichuan dialect. Goods are not easy to transport in, so prices are comparable to first-tier cities. The air is dry and UV radiation is incredibly strong... I didn't get a tan all summer, but two days here turned me completely dark! [laughing emoji] If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! 🙋‍♀️🙋"

Located near the Potala Palace, by the beautiful Lhasa River, just about 1.5 kilometers from the palace (approximately 20 minutes' walk). The hotel is one of the rare manor-style hotels in Lhasa featuring distinctive cultural characteristics, with exquisite solid wood decorations in traditional style. Weekly activities include organized incense-burning ceremonies and hands-on tsampa afternoon tea sessions. Facilities include: Manor-style dining Cultural experience zone Coffee lounge Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine Over 3,000 square meters of courtyard garden More than 100 parking spaces Central medical-grade oxygen diffusion system Right outside the hotel is the Lhasa Riverside Park, where you can enjoy leisurely walks along the riverbank and take in the beautiful natural scenery of Lhasa.

"The moment I stepped into the hotel, a strong ******* ambiance embraced me. The white stupa and prayer flags in the courtyard created a serene atmosphere. The room's decor felt incredibly homey, far from the cold, impersonal hotel style, and instead filled with a sense of lived-in warmth. The solid wood furniture, wool ******* rugs, and that window overlooking Nanshan Park all contributed to a particularly comfortable stay. What touched me most was the hotel's service. The front desk lady was incredibly enthusiastic; seeing me struggling with my luggage alone, she proactively helped me carry it up and even brought me a warm cup of Rhodiola tea."

"I stayed at this hotel in Lhasa for several consecutive nights! What I loved most was the super spacious Tibetan-style courtyard on the first floor. I was absolutely mesmerized the moment I walked in! You can dine, enjoy sweet tea, afternoon tea, pet cats… In short, it’s perfect for leisurely spending time in Lhasa. The hotel is right on the Barkhor Street kora path, just a 3-minute walk to Jokhang Temple! I heard this used to be the Nepalese Consulate 400 years ago, and now it's the Gesar Japo Museum! Carvings, murals, and antique objects are everywhere. Exploring this heritage-listed ******* ancient building truly feels like stepping back in time. Upon check-in, there's a traditional Hada presentation. The staff are so warm and helpful, even assisting with luggage. They also offer complimentary ******* traditional clothing for photos. In the room, there's a special high-altitude welcome kit: facial masks, hair essential oil, makeup remover wipes, and more… so thoughtful for female guests! The hotel offers a self-service breakfast. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, truly a master of creating a wonderful atmosphere! 🏡"

"1. Please note that most of the superior king-size rooms have interior windows, and some have exterior windows. 2. The recommended accommodation is Yutuo Road, which is very convenient for walking to the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. 3. There is a humidifier and diffused oxygen generator. Please note that the altitude is 0 for normal working condition. 4. To the right of the Bank of China entrance, there is a nice supermarket and fruit stand. 5. I found long hair on the bed. Did you see that I was traveling alone and sent a beautiful girl to have sex with me while I was away? 6. It is recommended to live on the Yutuo Road side so that you have a chance to see the Potala Palace. 7. Breakfast is simple but filling, and the dishes I cook are different every day. I live on breakfast every day. 8. The front desk can be more welcoming. 9. There are free drinks every day, which is highly praised. 10. Can wash clothes, suitable for long-term travelers. 11. No one reads your boss’s book. 12. The water pressure is a bit low, so taking a bath is not very enjoyable."

"Staying at Dongmawa Homestay was definitely the best decision I made on this trip to Tibet! 🏨The location is fantastic! From the rooftop terrace, you can have a complete view of the Potala Palace at night. Having dinner or afternoon tea with friends on the terrace while enjoying the view was incredibly pleasant! The room amenities are comparable to a five-star hotel! It has a Dyson humidifier and hairdryer. There's also a washing machine with a dryer and a small refrigerator. The diffused oxygen supply helped me sleep soundly without worrying about altitude sickness. Their breakfast was absolutely amazing—so plentiful! The owner was warm and welcoming, the room was clean and cozy, and the Tibetan-style decor was full of delightful surprises. I felt comfortable and at ease during my stay, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Lhasa!!"

GGuest User1. This is by far the best value, most comfortable, and tastiest hotel in Lhasa. I first stayed here during the Keriya Pass trip and was so impressed that I've returned every time since, and have even recommended it to friends. 2. The service is consistently excellent, the rooms are spacious, and they provide oxygen, humidifiers, and ample heating. The parking lot is also large. 3. The breakfast is incredibly diverse and genuinely delicious – it's got that authentic wok-hei flavor! It's far superior to many five-star hotels that offer variety but lack taste. They even provide convenient individual bread portions for takeaway. 4. I didn't have time to eat fruit at breakfast, so a lovely front desk attendant kindly packed a small box for me. So thoughtful! The fruit was sweet and fresh, and the quality was excellent. 5. Because of this Lhasa hotel, I now only consider staying at Pingcuo Kangsang hotels whenever I'm in Tibet. I truly recommend it!

JJia On The RoadOur 3-day stay in Lhasa was absolutely fantastic, especially traveling with my mom. The hotel's convenience, cleanliness, and excellent service really made our mother-daughter trip much more harmonious. - The location is incredibly convenient. It's about 1.5 kilometers to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and photo shoot spots, all easily walkable. We explored Lhasa entirely on foot during our stay. - They were well-prepared for altitude sickness. The room has an oxygen concentrator that can be used for diffusion or nasal cannula. On the first night, I foolishly took a shower and felt nauseous and dizzy in the middle of the night, doubting my existence. The butler came to help me with the oxygen concentrator in the middle of the night, and I finally got two hours of sleep after using oxygen until dawn. I searched for altitude sickness on Xiaohongshu, feeling like I was on the verge of needing a hospital. The front desk on the second floor has a pulse oximeter, and I felt relieved after seeing my reading was in the 80s. - I can't praise the butlers and front desk enough; their service was perfect! It wasn't the fake kind of luxury service you often find, but genuinely thoughtful and comfortable. - The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the Potala Palace, making breakfast a delightful experience.

__WeChat258344****The room was clean and hygienic, located right on Lhasa's pedestrian street, with a night market just outside. It's situated between the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, both about a six to seven-minute walk away. Downstairs, there's a yak hotpot restaurant with the popular internet celebrity, Little Lamu, performing. They also have automatic robots that deliver takeout directly to your room. The hotel has a free parking lot on the -1 floor, which is very convenient. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Lhasa, it's reliable! [Strong][Strong][Strong]

What truly stands out is the free luggage storage for guests checking out for a few days – it's easy, safe, and a real lifesaver.

MM527891****Seriously, folks, you won't believe it! Staying at this so-called 'oxygen-enriched' hotel provided by the travel agency, I was so short of breath and uncomfortable that I barely slept a wink all night. It makes me miss the Shusheng Guizang Manor in Lhasa where we stayed the night before. I spent a long time researching and chose this Guizang Manor for our first night in Lhasa. Since we had taken a high-speed train and a flight and then suddenly arrived at a high-altitude area that day, I was worried that we two 'fragile' youngsters wouldn't cope and it would affect our subsequent itinerary. So, I picked this mid-to-high-priced hotel. Following the idea that 'you get what you pay for,' I thought this place couldn't possibly be bad. And sure enough, after actually staying there, especially after spending a night at another hotel, I realized that choosing the Shusheng Guizang Manor for our first night in Lhasa was the best decision I ever made! I won't even go into how great the hotel environment is; just look at the pictures and feel it for yourselves. We took these because we thought they were beautiful, planning to post them on social media, never intending to write a review. But it's 3 AM, and I'm just so moved, so the pictures are only of the hotel interiors we liked and our breakfast (P.S. Super wide variety of breakfast, both Chinese and Western! 🤩 Key point!!! I want to emphasize and remind friends like us who are visiting Lhasa for the first time: when choosing a hotel, be sure to clearly check or ask what kind of 'oxygen machine' they mean by 'oxygen-enriched.' Because we might not (dare to) wash our hair, but we will definitely need oxygen on the first night! In such high-altitude areas, basically all hotels claim to be oxygen-enriched, but we need to look at the type of oxygen machine shown in the hotel room pictures. Some might just be a portable scattered oxygen machine, which is actually useless, makes noise, and doesn't have an individual oxygen port. Or a slightly better one might have an oxygen port, but only one! Trust me, if you're traveling with two or more people and you book such a hotel because of the price, you'll regret it, friends. Because one oxygen port is simply not enough [crying emoji]. But this Guizang Manor hotel not only has 24-hour diffused oxygen, but everyone also gets a nasal cannula! Each person in the room is provided with an oxygen machine and an oxygen port. Oh my goodness, this literally saved our lives! While saving our lives, the hotel also provided humidifiers, saving our skin. It's super dry here, dry to the point of flaking, so humidifiers are also incredibly important. (P.S. If you have a lot of dampness in your body, disregard what I said – congratulations, you've found your personal paradise, but only for when you first arrive; you'll have to experience the rest for yourself later.) Finally, one more little surprise I discovered after checking in. Exit the hotel, turn left, walk straight for about 100 meters, look up and turn right, and you can directly visit Cuomu Liangfen 🌝 Forgot to mention, the hotel is also close to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. Next time I come to Lhasa, I'm staying here again! I also hope that friends who have traveled to other cities and have recommended hotels can share their experiences and feelings after checking in. For 'fragile' youngsters like us who travel every year, such genuine reviews are truly very helpful 🌹

GGuest UserThe hotel isn't to far from the Portola Palace (a short taxi trip). I wouldn't say its a true 4 star hotel. The room was a good size, quiet and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little worn out; I couldn't get the TV to work, the mirror on the wet bar area was cracked, there were marks to the walls where paintings/pictures had once been. Most annoying was the shower cubicle and the shower over the bath had only cold water! On my last morning the power was off in my area of the hotel and the lift was not working due to the power outage. The hotel staff do not speak English, but one lady working on reception was especially nice and helpful and we were able to communicate by using the translation app. There are lots of restaurants near by, but next time I think I'd prefer to stay closer to the Portola Palace.
