"Seriously, folks, you won't believe it! Staying at this so-called 'oxygen-enriched' hotel provided by the travel agency, I was so short of breath and uncomfortable that I barely slept a wink all night. It makes me miss the Shusheng Guizang Manor in Lhasa where we stayed the night before. I spent a long time researching and chose this Guizang Manor for our first night in Lhasa. Since we had taken a high-speed train and a flight and then suddenly arrived at a high-altitude area that day, I was worried that we two 'fragile' youngsters wouldn't cope and it would affect our subsequent itinerary. So, I picked this mid-to-high-priced hotel. Following the idea that 'you get what you pay for,' I thought this place couldn't possibly be bad. And sure enough, after actually staying there, especially after spending a night at another hotel, I realized that choosing the Shusheng Guizang Manor for our first night in Lhasa was the best decision I ever made! I won't even go into how great the hotel environment is; just look at the pictures and feel it for yourselves. We took these because we thought they were beautiful, planning to post them on social media, never intending to write a review. But it's 3 AM, and I'm just so moved, so the pictures are only of the hotel interiors we liked and our breakfast (P.S. Super wide variety of breakfast, both Chinese and Western! 🤩 Key point!!! I want to emphasize and remind friends like us who are visiting Lhasa for the first time: when choosing a hotel, be sure to clearly check or ask what kind of 'oxygen machine' they mean by 'oxygen-enriched.' Because we might not (dare to) wash our hair, but we will definitely need oxygen on the first night! In such high-altitude areas, basically all hotels claim to be oxygen-enriched, but we need to look at the type of oxygen machine shown in the hotel room pictures. Some might just be a portable scattered oxygen machine, which is actually useless, makes noise, and doesn't have an individual oxygen port. Or a slightly better one might have an oxygen port, but only one! Trust me, if you're traveling with two or more people and you book such a hotel because of the price, you'll regret it, friends. Because one oxygen port is simply not enough [crying emoji]. But this Guizang Manor hotel not only has 24-hour diffused oxygen, but everyone also gets a nasal cannula! Each person in the room is provided with an oxygen machine and an oxygen port. Oh my goodness, this literally saved our lives! While saving our lives, the hotel also provided humidifiers, saving our skin. It's super dry here, dry to the point of flaking, so humidifiers are also incredibly important. (P.S. If you have a lot of dampness in your body, disregard what I said – congratulations, you've found your personal paradise, but only for when you first arrive; you'll have to experience the rest for yourself later.) Finally, one more little surprise I discovered after checking in. Exit the hotel, turn left, walk straight for about 100 meters, look up and turn right, and you can directly visit Cuomu Liangfen 🌝 Forgot to mention, the hotel is also close to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. Next time I come to Lhasa, I'm staying here again! I also hope that friends who have traveled to other cities and have recommended hotels can share their experiences and feelings after checking in. "I stayed for four days, so here are my impressions. Check-in: The staff were very welcoming at first, offering hot tea and trying to upsell me by scanning a QR code to upgrade to a premium membership. Since I mainly use Ctrip, I declined, and their attitude immediately turned sour. Over the next few days, most staff greeted guests, but there were exceptions. Accommodation: The room was very dusty. Because I'm allergic to dust mites, my nose and eyes started itching shortly after checking in. Atour's air conditioning has a peculiar wake-up call service: The air conditioner occasionally made strange noises during the day, but this wasn't a big problem (I have video evidence, which I can provide if needed). The most absurd thing was that on the day of departure, at 5 AM, the air conditioner started making strange noises, earlier than my 6 AM alarm! This was probably an extra service; thank you Atour for the thoughtful wake-up call! The room was well-stocked with water and toiletries, and the room cleaning staff deserve praise! The bedding was a bit firm; my friend and I prefer softer bedding, so it wasn't very comfortable. Laundry: I used it once. While the clothes were drying, I left a note asking the staff to retrieve them. They did put them in a bag, but the clothes were still damp when they were put in the bag, including a pair of thick jeans. Hotels I've stayed at before would tumble dry the clothes again, which might be an extra service. This Atour didn't offer that, but they did put them in a bag for me. Generally, it's fine for a one- or two-day stay. If you're looking for better service, you might need to check out a few more hotels."

"I absolutely love Farly Hotel. The staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, are incredibly kind and welcoming. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, like spinning prayer wheels and performing sang offerings. I particularly recommend the evening sound bath experience and the morning Pilates. The instructor's stretching exercises really helped improve my posture. I also woke up early to watch the sunrise, but there's a mountain to the east of Farly, so the sun actually appears about 45 minutes after the official sunrise time. Still, it was a beautiful sight."

"First, let me praise the cleanliness; it was truly spotless. When I first entered, I instinctively touched the bedside table and desktop, and there wasn't a speck of dust. The bathroom was also free of water stains and hair. For a guesthouse to achieve this level of cleanliness is better than many chain hotels. The room's overall design is warm and bright, with light beige walls and warm, non-glaring lighting. The curtains are cotton and linen, allowing light in but not letting in, so even during the day, it's not dark and feels very comfortable. They've spared no expense on amenities. There's a Marshall speaker on the table; I connected my phone and played a song, and the sound quality was excellent, with full bass. It was quite a pleasant surprise to have such a small treat in a place like Lhasa. The hairdryer is a Dyson, powerful yet lightweight, drying hair incredibly quickly without the arm getting tired from holding it up for so long. The humidifier deserves special mention. Lhasa is incredibly dry; I didn't use the humidifier the first night, and my throat was so dry I woke up several times in the middle of the night. The second night, I turned the humidifier on full blast, slept soundly until morning, and my nose didn't feel sore in the morning. This humidifier has a large water tank, so I don't need to refill it all night, which is great. The oxygen concentrator is the medical type, not a portable canister. I had a headache the night I arrived in Lhasa, and after inhaling for about ten minutes, it immediately relieved the pain; the effect was very noticeable. Plus, the machine isn't very loud, so it's not noisy even next to the bed. However, there is one minor drawback. The floor seems to be poorly maintained; some areas look old and even a bit dirty. Upon closer inspection, it's not actually dirty, but rather worn and scratched, but it does look unsightly. A renovation or a rug would greatly improve the experience. The flooring issue doesn't affect my sleep, but I hope the seller will take note of it."

"The guesthouse was very clean and hygienic, and I loved the style. We came with friends, and they upgraded our room. Sitting on the terrace, looking up at Danjielin Temple was truly breathtaking. The courtyard was beautifully decorated with many plants. The housekeeping staff and the young men and women at the front desk were very friendly. Most importantly, it's only a three-to-five-minute walk to Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple, and there are many good restaurants nearby. I'll definitely come back next time."

"I love this hotel. Staff were very friendly and caring. Due to high altitude sickness I wanted to buy Pocari Sweat on Mei Tuan but didn't have a local phone number to place the order, the ladies at the front desk helped me out. They also upgraded me to a room with the view of the Potala Palace. The room is nice, clean and spacious with oxygen supply and lots of bottled water provided. There is a big shopping mall 300 meters away (about 10-15 minutes walk) which you can find restaurants there. Free laundry service is a big plus as I spent 6 nights in this hotel. I feel the price is absolutely worth it for the customer service they provided, and I would love to try the hotels under this chain (Hilton) next time when I travel to other cities in the future."

"The hotel has a good environment. It is very close to the Jokhang Temple and the Potala Palace. It is only a short walk away. It is quiet at night and the breakfast is very good. It is my favorite hotel in Lhasa. The hotel service is very good, all check-in details are clearly explained, and if there are any changes, please contact us in advance. The facilities are a bit old but well maintained. The lights in the elevator are a bit dim and you can't see the buttons clearly. It is recommended to use a more powerful light."
