"As a Huazhu member, I always prioritize Atour hotels whenever I travel, and this trip to Tibet was no exception. I chose this Atour hotel again, and its location is fantastic. It's just a few minutes' walk to Barkhor Street, and you can even see the Potala Palace from the window. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful, patient, and attentive. They even upgraded my room for free and gave me complimentary breakfast – kudos to the front desk! The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. The room had air conditioning and an oxygen supply, plus free late-night snacks. There were also complimentary drinks and mineral water in the room, and a free self-service laundry room, which was very convenient. I highly recommend this Atour hotel to anyone visiting Lhasa, Tibet, and I want to extend another big thank you to the front desk staff for their warm service!"

Danzhe linshe oxygen enriched hotel is located in the northwest corner of the Jokhang Temple, in the courtyard of "danjielin Temple", the head of the four Dalin temples in Tibet. In the room, you can receive the baptism of Buddhism from a short distance, and you can have a panoramic view of the blue sky and white clouds, red house and white tiles through the large glass windows of the courtyard. It is a successful example of the transformation of traditional Tibetan courtyard, which skillfully implanted modern life elements into traditional architecture. The hotel is located at No.10, danjielin lane, close to Beijing Middle Road, kang'ang East Road, dosenger Road, Potala Palace, Dazhao temple, Xiaozhao temple, danjielin temple, cuomeilin temple, Shenli Times Square, Lhasa department store, and ancient Tibetan Hospital. It is about 2 minutes' walk to Dazhao temple and bakuo Street, which is absolutely the best geographical location It is the best choice to appreciate different ethnic customs or to perform special worship. All kinds of century old restaurants, big and small, are all around. The well-known Maji AMI Western food bar, namasede restaurant and guangminggang qiongtian teahouse are nearby. Enjoy the sunshine all the time, at the same time, you can taste the pollution-free green pure land food. The interior of the hotel adheres to the minimalist light luxury style. The clear and bright sunshine is sent into the hearts of the guests along the quiet and comfortable of the Tibetan temple. In a moment, the bottom of the heart is fresh, leisurely, peaceful and clean. When you are in the inner hall, your heart is like a long stream of clear spring, washing away all the trivial matters.

"The guesthouse was very clean and hygienic, and I loved the style. We came with friends, and they upgraded our room. Sitting on the terrace, looking up at Danjielin Temple was truly breathtaking. The courtyard was beautifully decorated with many plants. The housekeeping staff and the young men and women at the front desk were very friendly. Most importantly, it's only a three-to-five-minute walk to Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple, and there are many good restaurants nearby. I'll definitely come back next time."

"I absolutely love Farly Hotel. The staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, are incredibly kind and welcoming. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, like spinning prayer wheels and performing sang offerings. I particularly recommend the evening sound bath experience and the morning Pilates. The instructor's stretching exercises really helped improve my posture. I also woke up early to watch the sunrise, but there's a mountain to the east of Farly, so the sun actually appears about 45 minutes after the official sunrise time. Still, it was a beautiful sight."

"I love this hotel. Staff were very friendly and caring. Due to high altitude sickness I wanted to buy Pocari Sweat on Mei Tuan but didn't have a local phone number to place the order, the ladies at the front desk helped me out. They also upgraded me to a room with the view of the Potala Palace. The room is nice, clean and spacious with oxygen supply and lots of bottled water provided. There is a big shopping mall 300 meters away (about 10-15 minutes walk) which you can find restaurants there. Free laundry service is a big plus as I spent 6 nights in this hotel. I feel the price is absolutely worth it for the customer service they provided, and I would love to try the hotels under this chain (Hilton) next time when I travel to other cities in the future."

"It's great to have a rest here! Although this community is far from the Potala Palace, it is very quiet here, and it is close to the Wencheng Princess Theatre. After watching the Qing performance, you can come back to rest soon. The room was clean, fresh and comfortable, the best place I have ever lived here! "This was the most pleasant stay I've ever had in Lhasa, and I have to give The Posh Hotel full marks! Its location in the heart of the old city is fantastic – it's quiet yet lively. Step out, and you're right in the bustling Barkhor Street, experiencing local life. All the main attractions are within walking distance, so there's no need to hassle with taxis, which is a huge convenience. The hotel's exclusive observation deck is also a perfect spot for photos. The diffused oxygen supply in every room is a godsend for travelers coming to high altitudes; it's gentle and quiet. Coupled with the floor heating throughout the room, I experienced no chest tightness or altitude sickness upon arrival and slept soundly until morning. The room amenities are on par with five-star hotels: zero-pressure mattresses, smart toilets, and meticulous cleaning. The service is an added bonus. Upon check-in, they thoughtfully provided Rhodiola tea and a complimentary sweet tremella soup for bedtime. There's also free self-service laundry with drying facilities. The front desk staff were warm and patient. From the environment, views, and amenities to the thoughtful service, everything was top-notch, offering far better value for money than other hotels at a similar price point. If you're coming to Lhasa, just book this place without hesitation. I even booked it again for my return trip."

Located in the center of Lhasa, the Himalayan Hotel (Ximalaya Fandian) is about a ten-minute walk from Barkhor Square and a ten-minute drive from Potala Palace.Rooms in this hotel are clean and simply furnished with a rich ethnic minority flavor. Some rooms above the fifth floor offer stunning views of the Lhasa River and Polata Palace. Supplementary oxygen is provided due to the altitude of Lhasa. For dining, there are two restaurants in the hotel, one Western and the other. Guest can also choose to dine in one of the private dining rooms. For business, there are two meeting halls which can be used for banquets, press conferences and other events.

"The hotel has a good environment. It is very close to the Jokhang Temple and the Potala Palace. It is only a short walk away. It is quiet at night and the breakfast is very good. It is my favorite hotel in Lhasa. The hotel service is very good, all check-in details are clearly explained, and if there are any changes, please contact us in advance. The facilities are a bit old but well maintained. The lights in the elevator are a bit dim and you can't see the buttons clearly. It is recommended to use a more powerful light."

Arro Khampa embraces reverence for nature, respect for ancestors, and gratitude for freedom as its core values. With a vision centered on pristine nature, local character, and creative living, it shapes a comfortable, multi-dimensional space for modern travelers. “Arro Khampa” means “Come, friend” in the local language—a warm greeting once exchanged among caravan travelers and traders along the ancient Tea-Horse Road. In the welcoming inns along the route, weary horsemen would unpack their heavy loads, gather around the hearth after greetings, and share stories and drinks. This simple yet heartfelt salutation reflected their deep camaraderie and tradition of mutual support. It was this spirit of unity and cooperation that helped them overcome the perils of one of the world’s most treacherous trade routes, sustaining and thriving along the way. Lhasa, a key hub on the Tea-Horse Road, holds special significance for Arro Khampa. It was both a resting point for caravans and a starting point for journeys into farther lands. Nestled along the Lhasa River in a developing creative district next to the old town, the lodge offers an urban retreat that balances community and privacy. Rooted in the contemporary expression of local culture, it believes in the spirit of adventurers and dreamers, and welcomes every guest with genuine, heartfelt hospitality.

"The hotel was absolutely amazing. I arrived around 8 PM, and they immediately offered me sweet tea and asked me to sit down and rest. The hotel staff had already checked me in. The air conditioning and oxygen generator were already on in the room, and the white fungus porridge on the table was at the perfect temperature. The overall facilities were excellent, the shower gel smelled wonderful, and the room was very clean. The kettle boiled water quickly, and the service was great. The only downside was the TV; it could be upgraded. The breakfast was delicious, especially the rice noodles—I ate two bowls! The chicken sausage was also excellent; many dishes featured beef and chicken, which are suitable for ethnic minorities, which was a big plus. The stir-fried ******* noodles were delicious, and the yogurt was also very good. However, the toppings were just average, and the honey was a little too sweet. But overall, it was fantastic. They first poured me a cup of tea, then I asked for hot milk, and they even prepared hot coffee for me – very thoughtful. The next morning, I had to catch a flight at 7 am, so I asked the hotel if they could prepare breakfast, and they thoughtfully provided bread, water, and milk. The hotel offered a choice between afternoon tea and evening drinks; I chose the drinks because I was busy in the afternoon and didn't go for the afternoon tea, but the drinks were truly amazing and delicious. Just look at the pictures! They gave me a gin and tonic, the orange one was Blood and Sand, the one with cucumber was Moscow Mule, and the red wine was Sangria. That was my order. The Blood and Sand and Sangria were very good (I recommend drinking the Sangria last). I also left an unused oxygen cylinder for you."

Hotel location is very good, it is convenient to take a taxi from the road. The decoration is also beautiful and distinctive. I didn’t expect that there is an elevator that is very comfortable. The room is also clean and furnished with Tibetan characteristics. I think there is one thing to pay attention to. The floor is not very good. There is a section of the floor (in the scope of the bed) that is made of thick wooden boards. I think it is a natural feeling. Suspense is good, but maybe due to the cost, these boards are very rough and there are a lot of nails left on them. If you like to walk barefoot, you may step on this. Some nails (the tip of the nail is in the eye, so it may be uncomfortable to step on the middle). These manipulating boards I don't know if barefoot will be a thorn. I suggest that the hotel pour a thin layer of transparent glue on these wood. I have seen other hotels do it with this women's toilet. This looks still very primitive, but there is a certain guarantee for customers. I believe the cost will not be expensive because it is only a small range. The main thing is more safe.

It's a cute little traditional ******* style hotel that is just a stone throw from Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple. The hotel doesn't provide breakfast but has an Indian restaurant downstairs. You can also find plenty of food along the Barkhor Street which is like 2 mins walk away. Potala Palace is also relatively near about 2km away. The hotel also has cute kittens running around.

The room is very good, a small courtyard is planted with fruit trees, and fruit is bearing fruit. You can sit under the fruit tree and drink tea. The proprietress is very warm and friendly, smiling every day. After staying for 3 days, I will help clean it every day, replenish mineral water, etc., and the Potala Palace can be photographed at night on the roof. It is convenient to eat nearby, and it is also very close to the north gate of the Potala Palace. It takes 10 minutes to walk.

Very satisfied with everything, the best is the customer service, always answer all questions. Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen. There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning. Everything was cured by the warm customer service.

Songtsam was my first choice for my trip to Lhasa with my mother. The service was absolutely fantastic! A special thank you to Ms. Quji and Ms. Geji at the front desk for their attentive service! They responded to almost all our requests immediately, and the emotional support they provided was incredibly high; it felt like coming home. The room layout was spacious, more like a one-bedroom apartment. The toiletries were their own brand, but the toiletries could be upgraded to a more comfortable brand. The breakfast was excellent, with *******, Chinese, and Western options available. I'll definitely be going to Lhasa again in May or June, and I'll choose Songtsam again!

The Tibetan-style rooms were rustic yet stylish, quite quiet at night, and the rooms were clean and tidy. The courtyard was beautiful, and there was live music in the evening. I had beef hot pot here, which was delicious, and also afternoon tea with fried potatoes and ice cream, all very tasty. The receptionist upgraded me to an oxygen-equipped room because I booked three rooms, one of which didn't have late check-out service. After explaining to the receptionist, she also helped me with late check-out for that room, which I was very grateful for! There were ******* costume photoshoots in the courtyard, and I had a set taken there. The makeup and styling were excellent; you could communicate your needs, the makeup artist was very patient, and the photographer was also very skilled. Taking photos in the courtyard had a special feel to it. I recommend this hotel.

When you step into the door of Fengma Feiyang, the rich and warm front desk environment and Sister Fang's enthusiasm make you feel very friendly. The room is very clean, the quilt really smells like the sun as seen in the reviews, and the floor heating at night is enough to make you feel comfortable. People with cold body feel relieved. The B&B has a total of three floors. The ivy trees in the courtyard on the first floor are scattered around, giving a sense of tranquility accumulated over time. Although the peach and apple trees in winter are still waiting for their sprouts to sprout, sitting in the courtyard is like the feeling of my hometown in my memory, warm and cozy. harmonious. In addition to the tables, chairs and hammocks on each floor for you to enjoy the sunbathe in Lhasa, the rooftop observation deck offers a wide view of the Bu Palace, the snow-capped mountains, and Dolma, who is getting up and combing her hair next door, waving good morning to you. No matter what the purpose is for you to come to Lhasa, I suggest you come to Fengma, sit by the fire after sunset, and sit together with friends from all over the world. It is natural and comfortable, without pressure or masks, just chatting sincerely. The roads we have walked, the scenery we have seen, and the people we have met will all become beautiful memories.

Detailed & Social (Great for backpackers looking for a vibrant vibe) Title: Incredible community vibe and the best dorm experience in Lhasa! ”I spent 3 days in one of the shared dorms here, and it was easily one of the highlights of my time in Lhasa. The dorm rooms are incredibly clean, tidy, and well-organized, with sturdy bunks and enough space so you never feel cramped. The social energy in the main lobbyist is unmatched—it is so easy to grab a drink, strike up a conversation, and find travel buddies to split tour costs or explore the city with. They even had local singing and ******* dance performances right in the common area, so which was amazing to experience. To top it off, the hostel has a sweet resident cat who loves to hang out. Seriously, folks, you won't believe it! Staying at this so-called 'oxygen-enriched' hotel provided by the travel agency, I was so short of breath and uncomfortable that I barely slept a wink all night. It makes me miss the Shusheng Guizang Manor in Lhasa where we stayed the night before. I spent a long time researching and chose this Guizang Manor for our first night in Lhasa. Since we had taken a high-speed train and a flight and then suddenly arrived at a high-altitude area that day, I was worried that we two 'fragile' youngsters wouldn't cope and it would affect our subsequent itinerary. So, I picked this mid-to-high-priced hotel. Following the idea that 'you get what you pay for,' I thought this place couldn't possibly be bad. And sure enough, after actually staying there, especially after spending a night at another hotel, I realized that choosing the Shusheng Guizang Manor for our first night in Lhasa was the best decision I ever made! I won't even go into how great the hotel environment is; just look at the pictures and feel it for yourselves. We took these because we thought they were beautiful, planning to post them on social media, never intending to write a review. But it's 3 AM, and I'm just so moved, so the pictures are only of the hotel interiors we liked and our breakfast (P.S. Super wide variety of breakfast, both Chinese and Western! 🤩 Key point!!! I want to emphasize and remind friends like us who are visiting Lhasa for the first time: when choosing a hotel, be sure to clearly check or ask what kind of 'oxygen machine' they mean by 'oxygen-enriched.' Because we might not (dare to) wash our hair, but we will definitely need oxygen on the first night! In such high-altitude areas, basically all hotels claim to be oxygen-enriched, but we need to look at the type of oxygen machine shown in the hotel room pictures. Some might just be a portable scattered oxygen machine, which is actually useless, makes noise, and doesn't have an individual oxygen port. Or a slightly better one might have an oxygen port, but only one! Trust me, if you're traveling with two or more people and you book such a hotel because of the price, you'll regret it, friends. Because one oxygen port is simply not enough [crying emoji]. But this Guizang Manor hotel not only has 24-hour diffused oxygen, but everyone also gets a nasal cannula! Each person in the room is provided with an oxygen machine and an oxygen port. Oh my goodness, this literally saved our lives! While saving our lives, the hotel also provided humidifiers, saving our skin. It's super dry here, dry to the point of flaking, so humidifiers are also incredibly important. (P.S. If you have a lot of dampness in your body, disregard what I said – congratulations, you've found your personal paradise, but only for when you first arrive; you'll have to experience the rest for yourself later.) Finally, one more little surprise I discovered after checking in. Exit the hotel, turn left, walk straight for about 100 meters, look up and turn right, and you can directly visit Cuomu Liangfen 🌝 Forgot to mention, the hotel is also close to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. Next time I come to Lhasa, I'm staying here again! I also hope that friends who have traveled to other cities and have recommended hotels can share their experiences and feelings after checking in. For 'fragile' youngsters like us who travel every year, such genuine reviews are truly very helpful 🌹
