"Two adults and one child, with our 5-year-old. We booked a standard double room with breakfast for two, and our child ate for free. The room was a bit small and the facilities were quite basic, but breakfast was decent. The biggest plus is its convenient location. Right outside the hotel, there's the Lufthansa Airport Express, which runs every 20 minutes. It costs 13 euros one-way for adults, and our 5-year-old traveled free. It takes about 50 minutes to get to the airport. For city attractions, Marienplatz is only about a 15-minute walk away. There's also a Subway, McDonald's, and even a Decathlon nearby. The location is absolutely fantastic."

"Room is comfortable. Near main train station within walking distance. Nice food around the hotel, convenient stores next to hotel. One thing not so good is the cleaning staff on one of the days took our empty cans and bottles left purposely aside in a paper bag. We wanted to exchange for cash ourselves in the convenience stores."

"Everything was amazing, staff to location, to breakfast. Only thing that was kinda poopy was the shower handle was broken so the shower head kept falling but other than that it was great"

"The lady who always on the AM shift at the counter is very mean. The guy on the PM shift is much happier and better, like what I would expect from a good customer service.
The cleaning lady wore her normal shoes to clean inside the hotel, so not very clean on the floor. The lights to my bathroom was spoiled but she only noticed it at the end of my stay...
The location was very good, munich main station right behind the hotel. For Flixbus Station, its a 18mins walk away."

"The Holiday Inn Munich City Centre is a popular hotel for local tourists. It has a lot of rooms, and it's super convenient because you can walk directly from the subway station to the hotel through an underground passage, as long as you take the correct exit. This means you don't have to brave the cold outside. The rooms are a typical European size, and the cleanliness is good. The hotel lobby has various facilities, though the convenience store is a bit pricey. However, just outside the hotel's underground passage, you'll find various supermarkets that have everything you could need, which is really handy."

"Self was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nicely decorated and lots of wardrobe space too. It was nice having a safe but there was no fridge.
The only thing that let this hotel down was the shower. It was not powerful at all and the water temperature kept fluctuating to the point where you were cold and then you were almost getting scolded by the water. Not something I would expect from a four-star hotel.
The price reflected the location as it was a 10 minute walk to the underground station and then 20 minutes to the centre of town."

The location is okay there are lots of parking spaces around the hotel, you don't need to pay 25 Euro per night.

The single room was cramped and uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, it was difficult to get the room to a comfortable temperature. The heating was off, and the room was freezing cold upon entering.
The bathroom is modern, but the splash guard is impractical.
Luggage storage was very good.

Jj_cdUpon arriving at the hotel in the morning, we dropped off our luggage and went out. We returned at the scheduled check-in time of 2 PM, only to find our room in complete disarray and not yet cleaned. After showing photos to the front desk, they immediately arranged for housekeeping. We had to wait for about an hour for the room to be ready. However, Tsira Patsuria at the front desk handled the situation exceptionally well. She offered us tea and pastries while we waited and apologized, explaining that it was Oktoberfest and there was a high volume of guests checking in. She also kindly waived the charges for the draft beer and the snacks in our room. The hotel is very close to the main train station, making it convenient for getting around. The suite was spacious, and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of cheese and salmon, just what I like. I would definitely consider staying here again.

DdomonnnThe location is near the subway, right at the last exit. If you're taking the train, it's a bit of a walk as it's on the other side, but still considered convenient. It's not scary for women walking alone at night, which is important. For the room, I booked a single room and it was very spacious and clean, with a wardrobe, table, and chair, plus a private bathroom. I think it was great value for money! There's an elevator, but it's quite small; one person with luggage fills it up. The front desk is 24 hours. Towels need to be rented, and there's a hairdryer. I liked it.
The downside is that at night there's a very loud door-slamming sound. I'm not sure where it's coming from, it sounds like the wind blowing a door shut, and it happens many times a day. Other than that, everything was fine.

GGuest UserI stayed only for one night! I didn't stay long enough! The service was good! It was very comfortable! Clean and the breakfast was good😌. The attractions in Munich are relatively close! It's very close to the Charlie Post and nearby hotels! You can also go there for business trips. It's a few steps to the subway station, and it's also good to go to the University of Munich! You can eat the famous pork knuckles in a few steps!

\\O_O/Given the comments I read from other travellers, the hotel actually has far exceeded my expectation. First of all, there is a U-bahn station right next to the hotel, which takes you only 2 minutes to the central station. The room is spacious, clean and air-conditioned, which is rather rare among other hotels in Germany. It also comes with a large window, which makes the entire room bright and cosy. The front-desk service is 24 hours. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

GGuest UserThe room is very clean, has good lighting, sufficient heating, and is equipped with a refrigerator and safe. The location is 6-7 minutes' walk from the train station. There are tram stops, subways, supermarkets, pharmacies, snack bars, etc. around, making it convenient to travel. Rooms facing the street will hear the sound of trams passing by at night, so it is recommended to choose a room facing the inner courtyard.

The rooms are spacious, bed is large, the bathroom is lux with marble floors.
it is also in a great location. It is close to the train station and has a Lidl behind it.
The barman Jan is friendly and helpful.
And the not so good -
The rooms do not have a fridge, a microwave and not even a kettle!
When I enquired about the tea and coffee facilities, I was curtly told if I wanted coffee I could buy it downstairs.
It is difficult to understand how a hotel can justify a 4 star rating if it doesn't have anything more than a bed and a bathroom.
And then there is the room temperature. It's a furnace in the room I think the temperature was set to 29 degrees C!!
And the room temperature can't be changed in room. Only the reception can.
Even if they change it, it resets the next day.
I'm not sure why this hotel needs a sauna... Just stay in the room.
As has been noted in another review on Tripadvisor, this issue is ongoing. He noted it in 2017 and again in 2019 but nothing has changed.
Secondly is the staff attitude. They aren't rude but not friendly either. Likely they are worn down by the same issues getting raised while they are powerless to change it themselves.
Unsurprisingly, I was not offered a late check out.
The main advantage of location is lost by all the disadvantages.
If that's why you want to stay here, don't let the photo's trick you, book another better hotel nearby.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit small, but the price is cheap and the breakfast was really delicious. The staff were all friendly and there was an elevator, so it was easy to move my luggage. The reception is on the 2nd floor, so please keep that in mind.
