"It was a nice hotel, but there was failed fire alarms twice at 2 am. Also, in the morning water wasn't running, so we could even use Toilet. 2 minutes before the checkout, water started running but I thought it was too late."

One of the major highlights for me was the hotel's location. It was perfect for my needs, being a short drive from the city center and conveniently close to local attractions like the Edinburgh Zoo. The availability of free on-site parking was a huge bonus and made traveling by car stress-free. I also had a great experience using the hotel's facilities. The indoor pool and fitness center were both clean and well-equipped, providing a relaxing way to unwind. The breakfast offered a good variety of hot and cold options, and the quality of the food was excellent. While my overall experience was fantastic, there was a minor issue with the Wi-Fi in the room, which was a bit slow at times. However, this was a small inconvenience and didn't significantly impact my stay. All in all, the Holiday Inn Edinburgh is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the city. Its combination of comfortable rooms, excellent amenities, and friendly staff makes it a great value for money. I would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends and family."

"The hotel is conveniently located next to a bus stop where we could take the bus from and to the city centre. We tried to walk from the city centre to the hotel once and realised that the route wasn’t very flat - not the most walkable. The room we stayed in was very clean, with sufficient essentials provided. The staff were nice and friendly."

The front desk staff were very patient; upon check-in, I mentioned my preferred room location, and they patiently discussed it with me. We were on the second floor, though I imagine higher floors would offer better views. There's a large supermarket nearby. The bathroom had a bathtub, but the toilet area felt a bit cramped. The hotel was very clean. The main drawback is that it's a bit far from the city center. A taxi to Princes Street cost us around £8-£10, while a bus fare is a little over £2. For groups, a taxi is more cost-effective. The journey typically takes about 10-20 minutes. Breakfast was a decent English buffet, with options like bacon, scrambled eggs, bread, and juice. They offered both firm and soft pillows, which was a thoughtful touch. After checking out on the second day, we stored our luggage at the Scottish National Gallery. It cost £2 for a locker token, and you could store items until 5 PM. The locker was spacious enough for a 20-inch carry-on suitcase plus a backpack. The gallery is very close to the train station, which was very convenient as it meant we didn't have to return to the hotel to collect our luggage after exploring the city center."

"Clean and tidy, the service is very good, the front desk lady is warm and thoughtful, making people feel comfortable. They arranged a room without windows for me, but I didn't like it, so I changed it immediately. It's not in the city center, a bit remote, and the breakfast is good"

"Very comfy and spacious room, perfect stay for travelling nearby Edinburgh. Around 30mins drive from Edinburgh royal mile, but I personally prefer staying in this hotel rather than those in the city centre since the rooms are larger and the environment are more relaxing."

The facilities are modern, and the service was great. The room comfortably sleeps three adults. Breakfast was good. There are complimentary chilled and room-temperature water dispensers available on every floor. Both check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. I also found Trip.com's service excellent and highly recommend it."

"This hotel is fantastic! Located in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, it's within easy walking distance of everything. The Old and New Elephant Café, just outside the door, is a must-see for Harry Potter fans. There's also a Chinese restaurant, which will delight those with Chinese tastes. The hotel has a vibrant design, with a retro mid-century red accent that brightens up the gloomy Edinburgh. The red King of Hearts design on the room card is also eye-catching. I asked about it when I checked out, and they even gave me one as a souvenir. I was surprised to learn that the hotel even replaces the shower heads for guests—a first for me. The complimentary glass bottles of water each day are another thoughtful touch."
