"Lovely stay at the loft Great location and all of the staff (surprisingly there were lots of them) were so cool and nice Some people would mind the lack of a lift, but i think it's a great oportunity to catch up if you're missing leg day at the gym Special mention to the manager, Sig, she was very welcoming and a lovely chat, and you could tell she was proud of the place, though sometimes she struggled with multitasking, and her chair was a bit weird Anyway, 10/10 experience, would recommend"

"Location is perfect. Just a few meters away from train station, walkable to Edinburgh attractions. Room is so basic, nothing provided. Can use chill out room to have your own meal. I’d rate 5* if they provide complementary at least towel, shower/shampoo."

"It's a good hostel, right in the center, a couple of minutes' walk from all the sights. I liked everything, but there was one downside: I was cold in the evening. At first, I thought someone had opened the window, but no, it was just a draft from the frames, and there was no heating anymore. The next day it was warmer outside, and in the hostel, too."

"The location is indeed great, very close to the station, just up a long flight of stairs. However, the water heater was broken on the day we arrived, but the staff were very proactive and fixed it. On the downside, the soundproofing is poor, and the room isn't very big."

"Absolutely a good location for quietness and quiet in the new city. Very close to the train station and the airport bus. If you bring large luggage, it is recommended that you live in the new city. It is very convenient. As long as you have a bed, you don’t need to wait until the afternoon. If you have big luggage, you need to take some effort to climb this red staircase. Others are perfect. You can cook in the kitchen. Basically, you have fruit, bread, milk, and tea. There is no limit in the hall. Your best meal, please consciously tidy and clean the girl I live in. The 6 rooms have curtains. The bedside can fill the shop. Small luggage can be placed directly in everyone's cabinet. If you are lucky, you can live on the bottom floor. Hahaha. It's a three-story bed, so the first floor is very low and I can hardly straighten the waist. I can end it. After all, the price is so favorable. Right, there is a great coffee bar and small restaurant downstairs. Everyone is seductive when I see the Apple store and turn in. This is the bar and the hotel"

"Another night staying at this hostel. We stayed in a six-person female dorm. Except that the drainage is quite bad at the shower room, and the bunk bed is noisy when i move, everything is good and clean. A good choice for budget traveller!"

"Clean and well-maintained place with a pleasant atmosphere. A wide variety of games, food options, and a fully stocked bar are available, making it enjoyable at any time of day—from breakfast through dinner. The living spaces and common areas are comfortable, spacious, and nicely designed, perfect for relaxing and socializing. Overall, a great place to stay."

"While the property itself is genuinely impressive — excellent location, comfortable facilities, and overall a place I initially enjoyed enough to extend my stay — the appalling conduct of one particular front desk employee rendered the entire experience profoundly disappointing. Upon my initial arrival, despite providing substantial supporting documentation regarding my identity, including official government verification and police documentation concerning my stolen passport, I was met not with professionalism, understanding, or even basic courtesy, but with extraordinary rudeness, inflexibility, and a deeply concerning lack of competence. Her behaviour was unnecessarily hostile, dismissive, and entirely devoid of the standards one would reasonably expect from anyone representing the hospitality industry. Fortunately, the evening staff demonstrated what proper customer service should look like: pragmatic, respectful, solution-oriented, and entirely capable of resolving the matter professionally. Regrettably, when I attempted to extend my stay, I was once again subjected to the same individual’s astonishingly poor judgement and apparent personal hostility. Despite prior successful verification and an already established resolution, she chose to create unnecessary conflict, ultimately escalating the matter to an absurd and deeply distressing level, resulting in police involvement and my removal in the middle of the night, despite having already arranged and paid accordingly. To be absolutely clear: the establishment itself deserves praise, but the presence of staff members who wield petty authority with such cruelty, inconsistency, and staggering unprofessionalism severely undermines its reputation. Management would do well to reflect carefully on whether individuals so lacking in discretion, empathy, and professionalism should remain in positions where guest welfare and brand reputation are entrusted to them. One exceptionally poor employee can undo the efforts of an otherwise excellent business. A truly regrettable example of how dreadful service can overshadow even the finest accommodation."

"An exceptionally good hostel experience! First, the location is fantastic, literally just 10 meters from Guildford Cathedral – an absolutely unbeatable spot. The capsule-style beds are much better than standard bunk beds, offering greater privacy. You can draw the curtain, charge your devices inside, and there's a small light. The hygiene was also excellent. Highly recommended!"

"This hostel truly feels like a home away from home. The environment is clean and comfortable, the common areas are cozy and well-designed, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, always patiently offering travel advice, which made my trip much smoother. The location is convenient and the atmosphere is friendly, making it perfect for backpackers to meet new friends. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit."
