"Lovely stay at the loft
Great location and all of the staff (surprisingly there were lots of them) were so cool and nice
Some people would mind the lack of a lift, but i think it's a great oportunity to catch up if you're missing leg day at the gym
Special mention to the manager, Sig, she was very welcoming and a lovely chat, and you could tell she was proud of the place, though sometimes she struggled with multitasking, and her chair was a bit weird
Anyway, 10/10 experience, would recommend"

"This is a photo I took at my accommodation in Edinburgh. It was only about a one-minute walk from the station, and most of the main tourist attractions were nearby, which made getting around very convenient.
The only surprise was that I didn’t realise it was a triple bunk bed when I booked it. I booked it without thinking much about the bed setup, so I was a bit caught off guard. As a result, I hit my head a few times!
Other than that, everything was fine. Interestingly, the top bunk (third level) actually looked like the best spot."

"The location was absolutely fantastic. You can easily enjoy all of Edinburgh's attractions within walking distance. I heard there's a charge for luggage storage, though. On the bright side, each bed had two USB ports, which was super convenient for charging. My only slight concern was that the bathrooms and toilets were shared by both men and women. I've only ever stayed in hostels with completely separate facilities, so that felt a little odd. However, overall, it was clean and the staff were really friendly, making my trip to Edinburgh wonderful! Thank you!"

"The location is fantastic, right on the Royal Mile in the heart of the Old Town. The facilities are a bit old-fashioned, but the staff are very friendly. Be aware that the reception can be a bit tricky to find, as it's directly across the street from the actual rooms. Considering it's a hostel, it offers pretty good value for money."

"Absolutely a good location for quietness and quiet in the new city. Very close to the train station and the airport bus. If you bring large luggage, it is recommended that you live in the new city. It is very convenient. As long as you have a bed, you don’t need to wait until the afternoon. If you have big luggage, you need to take some effort to climb this red staircase. Others are perfect. You can cook in the kitchen. Basically, you have fruit, bread, milk, and tea. There is no limit in the hall. Your best meal, please consciously tidy and clean the girl I live in. The 6 rooms have curtains. The bedside can fill the shop. Small luggage can be placed directly in everyone's cabinet. If you are lucky, you can live on the bottom floor. Hahaha. It's a three-story bed, so the first floor is very low and I can hardly straighten the waist. I can end it. After all, the price is so favorable. Right, there is a great coffee bar and small restaurant downstairs. Everyone is seductive when I see the Apple store and turn in. This is the bar and the hotel"

"Another night staying at this hostel. We stayed in a six-person female dorm. Except that the drainage is quite bad at the shower room, and the bunk bed is noisy when i move, everything is good and clean. A good choice for budget traveller!"

"I’ve spent there 3 nights, and I loved every moment there! The staff is friendly and ready to help 24/7. The rooms are clean. It is noisy till around 1 am at nights because of the bar. However, I was so tired at the end of the day that I just would fall asleep despite the room being right behind the bar. The best experience for me was new people who I met there. Dear Nancy Lao Shi, have a great stay in there, waiting for you to come to Uzbekistan! And dear Scottish family who we met the day before yesterday who bought us Irish brew and mars bars - if you come to Uzbekistan let me know!

"The location is super convenient for getting to all the attractions, and it's not far from the train station. However, it's an uphill walk the whole way, which was quite tiring with luggage.
Overall, the hygiene was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The communal kitchen was well-equipped, and both the common areas and the rooms were spacious.
There aren't many shared bathrooms and toilets, but if you go during off-peak hours, you won't have to wait in line."

"One of the absolute best hostel in Edinburgh! Incredible facilities, super clean rooms, and the most helpful staff. It’s located in the best neighborhood, just a short stroll from The Meadows. If you visit during cherry blossom season, the views are magical as the park is covered in pink petals. LOVE IT SO MUCH. Will definitely return!"

GGuest UserWonderful hostel! The location is fantastic. It's clean and tidy, with a huge number of bathrooms and toilets. Guests are of all different ages here. I'm 38, but I felt completely comfortable. My roommates were much younger, but everyone was respectful of each other and kept noise down. No one got drunk; everything was very civilized. Just remember to bring earplugs! Our window faced the courtyard, and until 11 PM, people were hanging out and playing games on weekends. But honestly, I didn't hear a thing! 😂 You can store your luggage for 3 pounds after checking out. I brought my own towel and locker padlock, but you can rent them. In the evenings, staff would always come by and invite people to join activities on the first floor, always in a friendly way. I'm very happy with my stay. The staff are super! For the price, I got maximum value. Thanks, see you again!

GGuest UserWe stayed twice at the Riccarton Inn. It's traditional with a pub up front and rooms at the back. Very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. This is not a hotel chain but an individual inn. The rooms are not new, nor full of modern amenities as some would require. The mattress was creeky. Nevertheless, if you want a truly Scottish experience full of authentic ambiance, you cannot beat Riccarton. We ate breakfast and dinner in the inn and found them delicious. Had to hop on a couple of buses to get there from the airport, but that was part of the fun!

GGuest UserThe room was very clean, but we had to share the bathrooms with some really messy people who left everything disgusting. Though, I have to admit, the staff cleaned it up super fast. The shower doors weren't very secure; they'd open with just a touch, and there wasn't much privacy, especially considering it was a mixed-gender bathroom. On the bright side, the water was very hot, and there was heating in the room, so we weren't cold. It's worth noting that we were in the pub area, so there was a fair bit of noise and music at night, but it didn't bother us too much. We did miss having a kitchen, like some other hostels provide.

GGuest UserThis is a very interesting hotel in a converted church, the staff are very nice, friendly and attentive. Because it is a historical building, there is no way to remodel it. The rooms are still relatively large. There are collective kitchens, movie rooms, and few single rooms, so it is more convenient to wash in the public bathroom. It's still fun to feel the unique atmosphere.

SSophy剛好碰上愛丁堡舉行藝術節，酒店價格飆升，衹好退而求其次，訂了城郊的這個學生宿舍。中文翻譯是“愛丁堡大學宿舍”，但其實衹是愛丁堡學院Edinburgh college的學生宿舍，並不是著名的愛丁堡大學university of Edinburgh
缺點：就宿舍本身來説，真是一言難盡。房間連浴室估計不超過十平米，一張靠牆的1.2米床，房間裏噴灑了濃郁刺鼻香味的空氣“清新”劑，窗户衹能打開一點點，薰得人頭腦發昏。浴室衹有個頭頂噴淋頭，沒有能拿着的花灑頭，水又噴得很分散，洗澡是件艱難的事情。
宿舍裏安裝了很多扇防煙門，裏面各房間象迷宮一樣，剛開始容易迷路
優點：幾個房間劃成一個區域，例如18區，裏面有公共廚房，餐具、廚具、冰箱、桌椅、微波爐、電瓷爐甚至烤爐一應具全。宿舍後面有個大超市，可以買東西自己做來吃。
宿舍附近有個小海灘和綠道Granton Beach，步行過去十分鐘左右。愛丁堡夏天涼快清爽，天氣晴朗海邊景色美好，人也不多，散步很舒服。有些當地人沿着海邊綠道騎行或溜狗。
宿舍門口有不少巴士，進城比較方便，到市中心王子街花園大概半個來小時

AAnonymous UserThe staff were nice, the bed and the toilet was clean. However, the bathroom was dirty. The sleeping experience depends on the people in the room.
Mine was bad because people in the room with me was loud even at 11PM. There was a bar on the ground floor. There was also a kitchen for people to use which was nice. Do I recommend this? If you're saving money, yes. But i recommend bringing slippers to be more comfortable and a lock for your bag for safety.
