"Rooms (3/5): For a family of 3 the room was relatively spacious and had no trouble handling us and our luggage. There is a decent amount of wall plugs with 2 in the room and a third in the seating area. They also give an extension cable with 2 sockets and 2 usb ports. The toilet is spacious and the bath is decent in size. Overall atmosphere of the room was calm and relaxing. Service (4/5): Service was exceptional, the receptionist introduced the hotel to us well and they had several pamphlet guides from how to wear a yukata to how to behave in an onsen and several others which was nice to havw. When leaving the onsen by car, they also wave until you are out of sight which is a small cherry on the top. Facilities (4/5): They have 2 onsens, mens and ladies which alternate daily. I only had the joy of trying one of them which was lovely and had a small cold bath outside which is a plus in my book. In the mainlobby they also have free flow non alcoholic drinks through a dispenser, having hot drinks like tea and coffee and cold calpis, coke, sprite, orange juice and water. Had a nice time after the onsen grabbing something sweet and cold then sitting in the lounge to cool off. Food (3/5): The dinner was lovely. They served a variety of food with the steamed horse mackeral standing out (this is coming from a person who does not like fish that is cooked besides when its battered). The seaweed and miso based paste also went lovely with the rice. Breakfast was also decent but nothing outstanding besides the pudding at the end. Overall 3.5/5: If you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city and just really want to kick back and relax this is the place to be. For me, this Ryokan is worth visiting again if I ever pass by. Nothing extremely exceptional but overall enjoyable experience."

"It is one of the biggest ryokans we have visited with a lot of amenities. Guests are mostly Japanese..giving a family/retirement village vibes. Our room came with breakfast and dinner plan - food was delicious and very fresh! One thing to note when booking on Trip is that there are many room types available, but the pictures shown are not accurate!! When I booked my room, the pictures showed an in-room onsen tub-lookalike..and the room descriptions seem to support it too, along with the price. However, when I arrived, the room I was given was not like the pics at all..with no private tub/onsen in the room. We really wanted a private onsen to end our trip on a high, but we were left disappointed. Could not help but feel slightly cheated. We wanted to pay for an upgrade,to get one with in-room onsen but were told all were fully booked.:( so be careful when booking your desired room type."

"Look no further, Mori no Sumika Resort and Spa is absolutely wonderful! The staff are amazing, the rooms are spacious and well appointed, the property to include the hot springs baths is excellent - the food offerings for breakfast and dinner changes each day, the chef serving the freshest seafood, meats, vegetables. It’s a beautiful place that you’ll never want to leave and for sure come back to sooner than later. Arigato gozaimasu"

"(Transportation) There's a hotel shuttle bus from Kaga Onsen Station, which is quite convenient. It's located in the middle of the Tsurusenkei area, so if you arrive in the afternoon, you can walk the left side first and then the right side in the morning to avoid getting too tired. (Facilities) The lobby is large and offers complimentary tea and drinks. There's also a free playground on the 6th floor with ping-pong tables, snooker, etc. The hot spring area on the 2nd floor also has free popsicles and very inexpensive washing machines. (Food) Of all the hotels I've stayed at along the way, I found the breakfast to be the best value. I didn't eat dinner. I stayed at over a dozen hotels along the way, ranging from 3000 to 800 yen per night, and this was the only hotel with a buffet breakfast. There were three counters. There are freshly cooked items, such as Wo Sushi French toast and freshly squeezed juice. (Room) The room is quite basic; you have to fold your own blankets. Unfortunately, the balcony is rather bare, so you can't enjoy the view. (Service) Check-in and check-out are quite quick, and the staff are all smiles. I've included a picture of a sushi-making lady, but I've covered her face to protect her privacy, though her smile made my breakfast very enjoyable. (Other) The yukatas (light cotton robes) here are quite nice. At least after staying here for ten days, I feel it's good value for money, so I'd definitely stay at this hotel again."

"I was very satisfied with a hotel I recently stayed at. The room was spacious and comfortable, modern and relaxing. The service staff was warm and friendly and always helped, making me feel welcome. The hotel's restaurant has a rich breakfast selection and fresh and delicious food, adding a lot of vitality to the beginning of the day. The location is convenient and there are many attractions around to explore. Overall, this stay was very pleasant and will consider coming again in the future!"

"It was my first time to experience a Japanese-style room. It was clean and tidy. The house was old but not old, which was great! The space was large and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel had two public hot springs. Although they were not big, they were quite comfortable. I went there during off-peak hours and it was just like a private hot spring."

"Hygiene: The hotel room is very clean and well-equipped with air purifiers! But in fact, the environment near the hotel is very close to nature, and the air here is much fresher than in the city. Location: The only drawback of this hotel may be its location. Since this hotel is located halfway up the mountain, it can only be reached by car, shuttle bus or taxi. I took a taxi from Kaga Onsen Station. The journey took about 12 minutes and the fare was about 3,200 yen. I think the price is reasonable because the attitude of taxi drivers here is much better than in Hong Kong. If you don’t think it is expensive, you can give it a try. In addition, the hotel also has a shuttle bus that can be reserved. You can inform the hotel staff in advance. Service: I like the attitude of the hotel waiters very much. Unfortunately, an earthquake occurred when I went there (an earthquake and tsunami occurred in Ishikawa Prefecture, Hokuriku on January 1, 2024😢). The employees in the store were very patient and attentive in asking customers about their situation and taking care of them. safety. Since there are many Japanese locals there, I am almost the only foreigner in the whole hotel, but the staff will try their best to translate for me. I am very grateful to them. 🫶🏼 Facilities: There are various activity rooms, but I have not seen them in detail. Most of them require reservation. "The hotel provides a shuttle service to Kaga Onsen Station. You can make an appointment by calling. The hot spring hotel offers one night and two meals. The service and dishes are always impeccable. The hotel is located in the center of Kaga Onsen Town, next to Hoshino Kai. The water quality of Yamashiro Onsen is very good. Five minutes every morning and evening will make your skin feel very obvious. The tableware is very exquisite. It may be because it is adjacent to the Rosanjin Residence and Kutani Ware production area. Before the meal, the dedicated elderly butler will put on the kimono and sash for the guests. It is very quiet here. I stayed comfortably for two nights. The only thing is that the food is large. If you don’t eat it, you will waste it. After eating, you will feel too full. By the way, there is free ice cream at the lobby bar on the first floor during the day. There is a half-hour piano performance at 9:00-9:30 at night.
