"Lovely hotel with a beautiful view and amenities. It has everything you would need for a beach holiday. They provide towels and a beach bag. The staff are all lovely and very helpful. The service was good with cleaning. One thing I would say is you need a car/bike to travel to the main strip of shops and restaurants and the main area of the beach. The hotel does have its own section next to the pool for the beach but the stairs go straight into the water (which is shallow) so is fine to get onto the beach area."

"Great location by the beach with fantastic view of the sunset. The room and areas around the property are clean. Staff are friendly and the food in the restaurant is good with reasonable prices in the area. I had the breakfast package, the breakfast buffet is simple and adequate but would benefit from more choices. The downside is the room itself which is compact and basic, the mattress is a bit firm for me but you may like that. The bathroom has some design flaws but you can work around that like when showering, remove the toilet paper from the holder so it doesn’t get wet as the shower head points directly at it. All in all, a nice stay away from the noise of the popular areas. The picture is the view from the poolside."

"The Stay, was an amazing resort. Location was central, and the staff was 5 Star all the way. Very hard workers always greeted with a smile! Buffet breakfast was delicious! The views AMAZING! Right on the Beach. Highly recommend. Also make sure you visit the elephant sanctuary!"

"My daughter wanted to stay in a villa, so we chose this hotel, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise! The hotel was renovated in 2011, so it's a bit old, but it's very well-maintained overall. The lobby is grand and new, and the entire hotel feels like a miniature tropical jungle. Half of it is dedicated to various villas spread out, while the other half has pools connecting the rooms. Even though there are many trees, we didn't encounter any mosquitoes or insects, so the hotel must have treated the area. The hotel has its own beach with white sand and turquoise water. I woke up every day hoping to catch the sunrise, but unfortunately, it rained during my entire stay, so I only saw the morning glow. The hotel service is excellent; they promptly resolve any issues. We stayed in a Grand Bunch Garden Bungalow and added an extra bed. The room's amenities and details were well-maintained, and the shower was very comfortable. The only minor quirk was the traditional key and wooden bolt lock on the door. We didn't know how to lock it at first, so we called the front desk, and they patiently showed us how, haha. The hotel's location is its biggest highlight – right in the heart of Chaweng Beach's liveliest street in Koh Samui! ARK BAR is right next door. Their restaurant serves delicious food, and the beach bar at night is incredibly vibrant! There are fireworks and a fire show every night from 8 PM to 2 AM, allowing us to experience Koh Samui's nightlife up close. Plus, the hotel offers a quiet retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. While it's located on a street filled with bars, restaurants, and massage parlors, the bar noise can be loud at night, so it's a good idea to request a room away from the bar street when booking. There are many massage places and restaurants along the street outside the hotel, all similarly priced and of good quality with clear pricing, so you can choose based on your preference! My family was very satisfied this time, and I'm even writing a review for the first time, haha! 😃"

"The resort has a beautiful vibe and the views are stunning. It looks like it’s in need of some good cleaning and maintenance, apparently it’s an older resort that got taken over by a new company last year, so maybe they need some more time. Pros: - beautiful views - good breakfast, almond milk available for drinks at breakfast and you can even order matcha! Excellent service. Vegan options in terms of food are present but limited. - staff is very friendly Cons: - Room smelled humid/moldy. The bed felt damp. - when I asked the receptionist for a dehumidifier or if there was something to do about it I got looked at weird and just got air freshener offered, which is past the point. - Room didn’t look clean (see photos) - mold and chipped off paint everywhere in the room - no gym or fitness area, yoga classes for 300thb an hour instead Keep in mind that there are lots of stairs without railings, so not ideal for children or elderly people."

"I don’t get so many of the reviews. The beach isn’t a five minute walk. I was in the a building attached to the main building so I had to walk through the hallways, down a flight of stairs, across an atrium into the main building, and then take the elevator down. Once you get out, you have to then walk down a long alley to get to the road. From there, it’s about a fifteen minute walk. But THE WORST PART, they did not care to measure the doors in the rooms and made them very thin. I was constantly woken up by house keepers yelling down the hallways or using their radios on full volume or drunk people walking down the halls. Best part is that they have laundry service and it’s cheap."

"The resort is clean and cozy. The staffs are mostly friendly and approachable. I believe it’s the best location for me as I can go to the beach on one end and the other end I can go straight easily to the Mall. Location is quite convenient and it was not hard to get a grab at all. Breakfast selection was great with a great view."

"Great hotel, around a 5 minute walk from the centre and the beach. We travelled as a couple and found the hotel one of our favourites after 1 month in Thailand. Would highly recommend great value for money"

"Perfect social vibe and location, but cleanliness needs work Overall, Lub d is a really cute place. The facilities are great with two pools and direct beach access. The room was small but cozy and comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the nightlife. If you are looking to meet new people, socialize, and be close to the parties, this is the perfect spot for you. However, the cleanliness was not amazing. When we arrived, we noticed stains on our towels. We asked for replacements, but even the ”fresh” ones were stained, and this was a persistent issue throughout our entire stay."

"We had a beautiful stay at this hotel the staff were so lovely and we went fishing off the rocks. They have snorkelling gear at the hotel which is super handy. Breakfast was included in the price. It was also my boyfriend’s birthday and the staff set up a special table for dinner with a free birthday cake."
