"This will be part one of review (reason is we already extended stay for another 4 nights) Hotel is wonderful, 2 great pools (one right in the garden with lots of lovely trees around amd right next to the room) balcony of room also has a great view of pool and the garden. 2nd pool larger and also surrounded by great salas and decking etc. The beach which is maybe 100m walk from room is fantastic, lovely sandy beach with plenty of chairs and decking for comfort. The staff from the reception to the maids to the serving staff all super nice and friendly. I came with wife and daughter for 3 nights originally bit extended for another 4 nights as the hotel amd grounds and staff just all so nice.. everything you need is right here. As the hotel is just off the chaweng main strip thought maybe would be noisy but absolutely not.. it's far enough down towards the beach that the main strip isn't an issue, (unless of course you want to see the main strip and the many bars resteraunts s etc well no problem either as all of this is walking distance away so best of both worlds) Breakfast buffet has plenty of options also. So after another 4 days we may extend a bit more as I day it has everything you need for a great beach tropical holiday. Food amd drinks all reasonably priced (food is excellent with a wide selection)"

Мы брали домик люкс, с кухней.. кухня полностью оборудована всем необходимым , есть кофеварка, микроволновка , плита , все в рабочем состоянии 😊 …персонал приветливый и внимательный …свой пляж у отеля, но некупабельный, ездили на Ламаи , 1 мин на машине…😀 обязательно вернемся сюда😍"

"+ Lovely location, not far from the main part of the city by motorbike. The beach outside the hotel is very shallow and clean! great for a morning swim. Other hotels can be found along the beach in the same area..just saying. BUT, here is the huge let down with this hotel. - Blood stains were found on the bed sheets on the first night, so had to request a change of sheets immediately. A couple of days later, my ENTIRE back and shoulders was covered with BED BUG bites. I had to see a dermatologist immediatelt because I was afraid, and they confirmed it was due to bed bugs at the hotel. After 5 days, the spots on my back and arms are still not recovered, truly disgusting experience. My arms arent as bad as my back! Also, just before checking out of hotel on my way to the airport at 7am, the hotel accused me of not paying 4000THB for a trip I apparently didnt pay, which was a complete lie and now I wonder how many people have fallen for this scam. I paid all trips with credit card on the first hour of checking in at the hotel, all proof of payments are on my bank statement. The security guard would not let my taxi leave the hotel and called the police. I ended up leaving, because I had proof of payment on my bank statement. The hotel were proven wrong, but did not apologise to me for all the accusations. Would I book at casa de mar again? If it wasnt for the last few days, I would...but after this experience...fuck that😄 book another hotel along the beach, cheaper prices, same experience."

"Location - 10/10. Right on the beach, and also right in the middle of all the action at the entrance gate. The rooms - 8.5/10, are nice and spacious. A little dated. Nice and clean, but we had multiple pool/spa filters next to our room which were quite noisy. Service - 8/10. The staff are friendly and helpful, but I think a little training is required to be proactive rather than reactive. For example, at breakfast at various times - no plates, no cutlery, nowhere to sit, no milk.....Also, at the gym and pool no towels ”just wait 20 minutes”, but never came. Ambience - 4.5/10 is probably the weakness. There was multiple sites around the resort that looked like a rubbish tip. Overall, the experience was pretty good, but could be improved - 8/10."

"This hotel from the starters fantastic! Awesome customer service and very friendly and helpful! Nothing was to much trouble also gave great recommendations on were to eat and go! Rooms were spotless although on the smaller sideburns enough space for 2 people and having the balcony was a great addition. Breakfast was not a massive variety but what they had was excellent. Location was right in the middle of Chaweng and could not have been a more central location. Would definitely recommend The Stay to any body! Also great view just to chill and have a smoke overlooking the ocean"

"We stayed at Sea Sun Bed and Beyond last October, during the rainy season. Initially, we booked a non-refundable reservation. However, we ran into a problem at Raja Ferry Pier. They postponed our departure from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and after that, they didn't announce any travel details. We contacted Raja Ferry, who explained there was a monsoon, which was concerning because non-vehicle ferries can travel, but the Raja Ferry service center also informed us otherwise. We didn't know what time we would actually arrive on the island. We called the hotel to ask if we could cancel or postpone our trip. However, since the reservation was non-refundable under any conditions, they stated that they could not refund or postpone our trip. We asked if we could reschedule the trip, and they confirmed that they were in compliance with the rules. However, we weren't sure if, from a hospitality perspective, we could negotiate a deal. But if we were following the rules, we would follow the rules. Finally, we arrived. We checked into the hotel around 7:00 PM. Before arriving, I had seen that the hotel was right on the road, but I didn't know it was right next to the airport, so there was the sound of airplanes all night. Our room had a balcony where we could enjoy the view, but when we got out, there was a smell of garbage coming from the street in front. Regarding the bathroom, I'm not sure if there was hot water, but our room didn't have any. In the morning, after breakfast, I woke up and the electricity was out, and I couldn't turn on the air conditioner. Regarding the hotel, parking is available on the side of the road with lots of traffic. There's no dedicated hotel parking."

"In 2020 this would have been a 4 star hotel, today it's tired and over priced. We changed our first room as the mold spores in the air had been masked by perfume. The second room much better as it had a sunnier location. It has everything you expect , however if freshly decorated and updated would merit it's status. The breakfast was poor quality and the bar and food prices too high."

"Not a bad hotel for the money, we lived on the first floor, we almost never turned on the air conditioner because it was quite cold and so ... the breakfast is ordinary, there is not enough good coffee ... the location is convenient, everything you need is nearby. The staff is friendly, cleaning is regular"

"We recently stayed at the Sarann Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is very clean, and the staff were professional and attentive. Our room was neatly cleaned every day, and fresh water was always provided. The pool was a highlight and definitely one of the top features of the hotel. On the downside, we did notice an unpleasant odor near the drains when walking from our room to the lobby and restaurant area. Also, the water pressure in the bathroom was not great; it took a long time to fill the bathtub. The TV channels were limited, and we didn't really use the television during our stay. Another factor to consider is the location. The hotel sits at a corner, making it a bit tricky and potentially dangerous to cross the road due to traffic from both sides. Lastly, the beach near the hotel wasn’t very clean, with quite a bit of litter washed up, but that’s not something the hotel can control. The resturant's food is the best we've had on the island. 10/10 In summary, the Saran Hotel is a good choice for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and lovely pool, though there are a few areas that could use improvement"
