Koh Samui Hotels with Gym

"I had bad experiences in this hotel. Staff hotel tried to open my room at 6 am in the morning!!!! He knock the door too loud and use a spare key to open the door. I heard this happen and shocked that ***! is he doing. He said it was wrong room??? WHAT? but it was early in the morning!! The next day, a housekeeper open my room again without knock the door and don’t see that I put ”No Distrub” sign hang in door knob. (This was around 6pm) I was resting. She said she forgot to bring me a new towel when she clean the room… This was not impress at the hotel staff at all. I have to review my experience and I will not go back to this hotel again anymore."

"Great pool, clean part of the beach, close enough to walk to lots of cafes and shops. We booked as a family on one booking but were told at check-in we would have to stay in separate areas of the hotel… this was very disappointing as we had requested rooms close together. Manager wasn’t that friendly when we asked to change room to be closer together. Most staff working at resort were friendly and it was clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others."

"We had a fabulous stay at Chaweng Cove, the staff can't do enough to help and appease you, location is perfect away from chaweng strip which is very busy. Breakfast was excellent fresh eggs cooked anyway you prefer, beach is narrow but we loved the big waves and lazing on the loungers, if you really want to get a lounger by the pool area get up early as they are all gone by let say the older generation don't know why you want to sit by a pool all day can do that anywere. Trips we like the Ethical elephant sanctuary which was nice and you feed the elephants and get loads of pictures. Zipwire experience was great fun 9 different zip line but go early as it gets very busy later in the day"

"Fast check in. Room available early. House keeping to the highest standards. Safe for children and kids club is one the was made with kids in mind first rather than an add on later. Much entertainment included, film nights with pop corn stands and buffets, neon disco, and buffet breakfast with a wide variety of international food and treats however, this list is not limited. Special requests were always met and exceeded my expectations. The location is directly on the strip of Fisherman’s Village, and close to CoCoTams where there is a fire show each night. To Chewang area, it is a 15 minute taxi/tactic ride. VIP taxi outside resort cost 500tbh (€6) for 1 adult and 1 child. Finally, the nights sleep was bliss. I wish I could have brought home the pillows."

"Celes Samui is a great hotel in a lovely, quiet, and relaxing spot — just a 10-minute walk from Fisherman’s Village. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable, and the location is fantastic. The restaurant food was delicious and breakfasts were very good. The beds are quite firm, which may not suit everyone, though the bedding itself was very good. The staff experience was mixed. Some were absolutely wonderful — especially the girl with the short dark hair at reception, who was friendly and helpful every day, along with the restaurant staff and the guys on the front gate. However, others weren’t as friendly, and at times even came across as aggressive. Check-in and check-out weren’t overly welcoming, and one housekeeper was very abrupt when I asked for extra towels and refused to leave until I gave her two towels which I didn’t actually have! The beach is beautiful to look at, but after about a metre in, the bottom is slimy, which made swimming less enjoyable. Because of this, we left for a few days to enjoy Lamai, which has a much more breathtaking beach. It’s a short cab ride away. All in all, I would still recommend Celes Samui — it’s a beautiful and peaceful place to stay with clean rooms and excellent food. But I didn’t find the staff friendliness as consistent as other reviewers have described, which was a bit disappointing."

"Everything about this hotel is fabulous. Firstly the staff. All staff members are welcoming and friendly, but I want to express my appreciation to Paul and Gift. Paul is an amazing Muay Thai coach and helped as a lot and Gift is just amazing. Hotel Manager is awesome too. The room- Nice and big with a fantastic view of the ocean, really nice welcome birthday gifts of cake and wine and they were really yummy. The breakfast- really delicious made to order from a menu and also a buffet spread. Although the made to order is yummy it would be nice if they had daily specials as the menu doesn’t change. The pool and beach are amazing. I enjoyed it , especially the swim up bar. Location- love it. Really central but away from the noise. Everyone must stay here."

"This place is absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend a better stay on the island of Koh Samui. The whole facility is spotless (so so clean) you can’t go anywhere without the staff smiling and saying hello. The service is 10\10 the rooms are worth every dollar. You will not be disappointed with your stay here! My partner and I will continue to stay here whenever we have the chance to head back to Koh Samui. (so good we ended up booking another 2 nights)"

"CENTARA life, Koh Samui, Lamai Gleich vorweg: Das Centara Life ist m. E. kein Urlaubshotel, eher ein Business-/Wochenendhotel … ich hatte mich auf ein CENTARA-Hotel gefreut, aber:  Nicht überall wo CENTARA drauf steht ist auch CENTARA drin … es ist irgendwie ein völlig neues Hotelkonzept, Positionierung zwischen „high class“ und „normal class“  … Zimmer dicht an dicht, Balkon einer neben dem anderen, getrennt mit einer dünnen Holzwand … 4 Stockwerke hoch … damit sehr viele Zimmer, die aber sind überraschend groß, sauber und äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet … Ich habe ein Zimmer mit großzügigen Balkon … jetzt das ABER: die Aussicht hat nichts mit grüner Natur der Insel geschweige türkisfarbenen Wasser zu tun, ich blicke auf einen Parkplatz, einen großen Strommasten und auf die Dächer von unzähligen Häusern/Hütten … einige von denen wandeln sich abends zu lauten Sport-Bars und Kneipen um … lautes Gedröhne von nah und fern bis weit in die Nacht, nein - bis in den nächsten Morgen … abends sitze ich mit Oropax auf meinem Balkon und versuche zu lesen… trotzdem dröhnt es … im Restaurant des Hotels ist dagegen nichts los … nur gut, dass ich nicht auch noch die vom Reiseveranstalter angebotene Halbpension gebucht habe … der Swimmingpool - klein aber fein … 15 Liegen finden Platz … der tolle Strand von Lamai ist fussläufig in  10 Minuten erreicht.  Unterm Strich: das CENTARA life ist ein modernes Hotel, gehobene Ausstattung, große Zimmer und ich treffe auf ein durch und durch kompetentes Personal; die Umgebung ist sehr laut, ist schrill, lädt zu einem „Massage- und/oder Bier-Marathon“ ein - promenieren, gemütliches Laufen in der in nur ein paar Schritten entfernten Hauptstraße ist ab 19:00 nicht möglich - dicht gedrängter Verkehr inmitten lauter Musik-Bars, Souvenir-Shops und Thai-Restaurants …"

"One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Everything was perfect. The location on the beach and rocks was so beautiful. The room was spacious, clean and luxurious. The garden swimming pool so relaxing and the food and drinks delicious. The staff were a delight!"
