"Spending a night at Changdi Inn, nestled in the heart of the historic Hongkeng Tulou Cluster, was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my Xiamen trip. The inn is located within a centuries old Hakka earthen building, and the moment you step inside, you will be instantly transported back in time. The stay offers an immersive look into traditional Hakka culture and architecture, surrounded by thick earthen walls, wooden beams, and antique details that speak volumes of the past. What mak it extra special was meeting the friendly innkeeper, a 6th generation descendant of the family that built and preserved this Tulou. He shared stories and local insights making the whole experience even more meaningful. The room was simple yet clean and comfortable, blending rustic charm with basic modern comforts. I got to enjoy authentic Hakka meals, lovingly prepared and bursting with homestyle flavor, perfect after a day of exploring. Waking up in the peaceful village setting, watching the locals go about their daily lives, and hearing the birds chirping outside, it's a rare, soulful escape from the city."

"This hotel is a beautifully converted tulou, offering a modern and polished take on a traditional structure. While it may lack some of the original lived-in charm you might expect from such heritage buildings, it still provides a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The service was a standout, staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, which really enhanced the overall experience. As for the room design, we were initially impressed by the split-level layout, with the bedroom upstairs and the bathroom and toilet below. However, this became a bit inconvenient, especially for older guests needing to use the bathroom during the night. The shower setup was another slight drawback, as there’s no space to hang clothes or towels inside. This means you have to change outside the shower area, making it difficult for others to use the lower level at the same time. These were minor inconveniences rather than major issues, and they didn’t take away from our overall enjoyment of the stay."

"This guesthouse is right at the entrance of the Fujian Tulou Prince Scenic Area. We visited during road construction, but parking was available right outside. The guesthouse itself is a converted Tulou, and the rooms are well-equipped and very comfortable. It's truly impressive how well a 500-year-old Tulou has been renovated. In the evenings, there were Hakka cultural and art performances. The service was excellent, and breakfast offered a good variety. Overall, a very satisfying stay during our road trip."

"There are not many Longyan hotels. We passed by by car and went to their parking lot. Their home has a big parking lot. Parking is particularly convenient and suitable for friends traveling by car. It is only 50 meters away from the river, and there are many places to eat across the small bridge."

"We came to Longyan from Chaoshan to see the Tulou, and chose this hotel on Ctrip. In my daughter's words, it was a big surprise! We had many adults and children, and originally booked a twin room but couldn't put it together, so we went to the front desk to change to a king-size bed room. "We were very fortunate to have chosen Huanxing Inn for a night's rest; it was a perfect stay. First, the room was large and comfortable. "Stayed for a night at the hotel and took the free guided tour to the 王子 Tulou. Had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Food is slightly above average. Location is right next to a Tulou. but it is not the Tulou with the tour. Attended the dinner shoe next door using the discount coupon. It is probably one of the lamest show I have seen in China. Very loud and piercing compère. Don’t waste your money on the show. The free guided tour is only for 王子土楼. The free guided tour is good. You may need your own transport there. You still need to pay for your tickets into the 土楼。 the guide’s relatives live there. Basically she will bring you to her house or cousin’s house for tea. And the tea is expensive. You get the drift."
