The moment you step into the lobby, you're immediately struck by its grandeur – a forty-meter high ceiling adorned with exquisite crystal chandeliers and stately columns that exude a high-end, luxurious feel. The lobby also features unique Thangka decorations, blending Ouyue culture with ******* aesthetics, creating a distinctive charm. With sunlight streaming in, casting beautiful light and shadow, the atmosphere is simply stunning, making every photo look like a magazine spread. I stayed in a deluxe river-view room, and it was an excellent choice. The room was spacious and airy, with a well-organized layout. The overall decor was tastefully luxurious and elegant, spotlessly clean, and odor-free. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows were undoubtedly the highlight. By day, you can gaze upon the magnificent Oujiang River and the continuous mountain range, with boats gracefully passing by – a truly therapeutic sight. By night, the city lights sparkle, and you can enjoy the breathtaking city skyline and mountain light show right from your bed, fully immersing yourself in Wenzhou's urban romance. The guest room details were thoughtfully executed; the high-quality bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and all essential toiletries, as well as office and living supplies, were readily available, ensuring maximum comfort. The hotel's service was particularly heartwarming. The staff were consistently warm and polite. Check-in was swift and efficient, and they proactively offered guidance and meticulous, thoughtful service. Their gentle demeanor and patience made the entire experience feel both dignified and relaxing. Facilities were also exceptionally well-appointed. A 25-meter heated swimming pool and a professional fitness center were all available, with new and well-maintained equipment. The 'O Café' Western restaurant and 'Shang Palace' Chinese restaurant offered a rich variety of authentic dishes. The hotel also features a children's playground, making it a great option for families traveling with kids. Overall, the experience far exceeded my expectations. There's also a Hema (supermarket), which made getting last-minute supplies during my trip effortless. The breakfast was particularly noteworthy. For travelers accustomed to staying in five-star hotels, this is a reliable and reassuring choice. They offered local Wenzhou specialties – like Wenzhou Rouyan (meat wontons) and glutinous rice, which were authentic and delicious – as well as fresh salad and made-to-order omelets. The dessert selection was rich; I especially have to commend the staff who brought freshly baked taro paste tarts. There were also egg yolk pastries and red bean pastries, which clearly tasted homemade, with a delicate texture that rivaled any dessert shop. So, obediently, I submitted a reservation request for a two-night consecutive stay starting the next day, doing so the night before (around 11 PM). The page showed 'pending confirmation,' and I waited for a full ten and a half hours—until around 10 AM the next day—only to receive a cold notification that my reservation had failed. Frustrated, I immediately made a new direct booking for a single night for the same day. That one was confirmed and successful in seconds. This is just ridiculous—it's the same manual review process, so why did the overnight booking take ten and a half hours? I've never encountered anything like it. What made it even more infuriating was the reason for the rejection. When I mentioned it to the front desk during check-in, I later received a call from the reservations department, who self-righteously told me: 'You requested an elephant-themed room in your remarks, which is an unreasonable request and not within the scope of booking.' I immediately retorted—your hotel's sales pages for both room types clearly show four display images each, all featuring elephant elements. I made that remark precisely because I saw those pictures. Their response was simply, 'You're mistaken, that's just the hotel's overall style.' I asked if they should at least call to confirm, and the reply was, 'We don't have that procedure.' After hanging up, I immediately went back to the platform, took screenshots, and confirmed that I was not mistaken. I called back again and asked them to check the marketing images published by their operations department to see who was being 'unreasonable.' And then—nothing. No one has contacted me since. Front office and reservations department, please sort out your internal promotional materials before telling customers whether their remarks are 'unreasonable.' Don't you think you owe me an apology??? Second, the environment is actually decent. The hotel is on a very high floor; I stayed on the 40th floor, so the views were expansive and a definite plus. However, there were no smart devices in the room, and the room size was much smaller than expected. Third, the hygiene condition was honestly disappointing. What I found most unbearable was the bathroom countertop—when I leaned down to wash my face in the morning, I clearly saw residual historical stains under the counter. I was genuinely disgusted. Hygiene: I found a foreign object, a piece of paper (not sure where it came from), in my breakfast rice noodles. The restaurant manager didn't explain what it was and just took it away, only offering to recook the noodles or provide wontons instead. This was a really bad experience and instantly ruined my appetite. The picture shows the elevator when I was checking out. As a mid-to-high-end hotel, the inspection hatch in the elevator shouldn't be left open like that. Given that the price increased by about 50% during the event (my booking price was 1166 RMB), the hotel should at least provide the basic hygiene and safety that a 600-700 RMB hotel would offer, instead of just raising prices and failing to deliver even basic hygiene and safety guarantees. Additional: This Marriott executive king room only provides two bottles of mineral water. It's the stingiest Marriott I've ever stayed in! The mini-fridge was completely empty. This is the first time I've seen a hotel where you have to contact staff just to use amenities."
