"This was the first booking I made for this trip and the last hotel I checked into. I booked it even before leaving home. Shangri-La's standards are quite high and reliable. The location is excellent, just a few hundred meters' walk from the Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, and Barangaroo Park. Sydney Opera House is just past Circular Quay. They even upgraded my room, thank you! The hotel's pre-authorization process is standard: the final charge and refund are processed under the original pre-authorization. There's no need for additional steps. The data provided to decision-makers, regarding resident or external guest consumption, influences future business strategies; some domestic hotels have even shifted their focus to F&B. The hotel's introduction should also be rewritten. It needs to clearly state which floor the pool and gym are on, as well as the restaurant's location, operating hours, and cuisine style. Many hotels in China indicate relevant restaurants, fitness centers, etc., next to the elevator floor buttons."

"Nice hotel. Usually good value for the price, except when they are almost full, then it can get expensive. But most of the time good value for money. Staff are very polite and amiable and most of the rooms are clean and comfortable. A few rooms are a little rough and dated but they are slowly being renovated. All round great hotel."

"Rooms are spacious and clean. Loved the bathroom set up which is convenient for couples where shower and toilet are separated. Amenities are great with big gym and a nice outdoor pool, sadly it was chilly and raining so we couldn’t use the pool and there are no saunas. To our surprise there was no complimentary water in the room with the sign to drink a clean tap water, however we prefer bottled or filtered. Breakfast had a good selection with option to order eggs. Valet parking is $89, which is standard price for hotel parking in the city but you have to leave before 3pm or else they’ll charge you for an extra night. If you don’t mind a short 5min walk, I would recommend First Parking for $45 per 24h with unlimited entries and exits."

"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the pier, tram, and subway, about a 7-8 minute walk, which also helps avoid noisy environments. The service staff are quite good, and you can get drinking water yourself in the hotel lobby. However, the bathroom sink is a disaster; when you wash your hands or face, water instantly splashes all over the counter. The shower drain is extremely slow; halfway through washing your hair, your feet are already submerged. You have to ask for toothbrushes; they're not provided automatically. Furthermore, the quality of the shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste is very poor, leaving hair dry and brittle after washing. This aspect is incomparable to the amenities provided in domestic 5-star hotels. I recommend bringing your own or buying better products."

"The fireworks at Darling Harbour were absolutely stunning, and our room faced Darling Harbour directly. The kids basically lived on the balcony, doing homework, watching fireworks, and eating – they called it the best hotel of the trip. Personally, I found the room a bit small; once we opened our two 28-inch suitcases, there was no space left. Also, the lighting was a bit dim and lacked brightness. Breakfast was quite Western-style, good quality but with limited variety. The kids were quite sad when they realized there was no ice cream, no chocolate fountain, no dessert bar, and no self-service juice (compared to the Crown in Melbourne and Langham where we stayed). But as parents, we were thrilled! Less sugar intake, and the fruits and yogurt were excellent quality. The eggs used for omelets and Eggs Benedict were organic. The downside is that it's a bit far from the subway station, and the walk back to the hotel area at night felt a little dark. My biggest complaint is that in the morning, the kids left a cup on the breakfast table, and when we checked out, they wouldn't even look for it, claiming the breakfast bar staff had gone off duty. My daughter was very upset about her Tiger thermos and even cried."

"This hotel boasts a stylish design with excellent facilities. The bathroom design is particularly ingenious. Its location on Market Street is very convenient; it's only about a 5-minute walk to the nearest train station, and there are multiple bus lines nearby, offering great connectivity. The only minor drawback is that the hotel entrance isn't very prominent, so it's easy to walk right past it without noticing. Also, breakfast isn't served buffet-style."

Amazing
TTTWWSWow, what can I say? This hotel was absolutely amazing from the service from the Geo with a warm welcome and our luggage taken away from us at the door to the personalised service that we received at check-in. Walking in the rooms are simply amazing being so elegantly furnished and so clean and spacious. The bathroom had all the amenities you could even imagine and you could easily get stuff and order through the iPad. Their indoor pool and Jim is simply amazing and includes a spa with massage function and there’s also a specialty shower room and sauna room. The breakfast buffet was also a very high standard and you can order à la carte items which were very delicious. There was also a lounge room which is similar to an executive lounge open to all hotel gas and (Office) complimentary tea and alcohol drinks too. I’m definitely return to stay at this hotel and it is absolutely amazing. Thank you very much, Capella Sydney.

王伊丽Overpriced hotel. Room and bathroom were spacious but dusty. A lot of dust everywhere so I will definitely not recommend this hotel to customers with dust allergy. Refilling tea, coffe bags etc not everyday. Room looks like from last century 50's - about time for the renovation. Great location so I guess the price is only connect to the location.

TTuaichixiaodantaThe location is absolutely fantastic! It's super close to St James train station, and Hyde Park is just across the road, perfect for an evening stroll after dinner before heading back to the hotel. It's also quite near Westfield and QVB, and many popular restaurants are within walking distance. The front desk staff were great; they assigned us a high-floor corner room, which was very quiet and more spacious. The cleanliness was good, but you can tell the hotel's facilities are a bit dated, especially the bathroom. The showerhead tends to overflow if you turn the water up too high 🥲. However, considering the prime location and the price, it's still a highly cost-effective choice!

The dining was excellent and getting around was a breeze. It truly boasts the city's best viewpoints, offering an unparalleled sense of luxury. GGuest UserI had a very pleasant stay at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney. The hotel is located in a prime spot in the heart of Sydney CBD, making it easy to walk to Circular Quay, the Opera House, and The Rocks. Public transport is also readily accessible, which made getting around the city very convenient. The apartment-style room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities — perfect for both short and long stays. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. One small detail to note is that slippers were not provided in the room, so I had to request them from the front desk. It wasn’t a big issue, but it would be more convenient if they were placed in the room by default. The staff were friendly, professional, and quick to respond to any requests. I also appreciated the on-site restaurant and rooftop pool, which added extra convenience and enjoyment to my stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for travelers who want comfort, space, and a central location in Sydney.

GGuest UserWe booked W sydney months in advance with breakfast included and is worth it . Food choices are plenty during breakfast and can order different eggs style and cooking preparation during breakfast and can order different hot or cooled selection of drinks as well. Hotel is clean and location is near china town ,paddys market , and harbour easily accessible to townhall in a walkable distance of 7-10 mins away. There is a fireworks show on saturday night that lasted 5-7minutes.. There are lots of restaurants around the area and ice cream shops as well . There is even a park at the back of the hotel and a playground for kids. I highly recommend this hotel. There is 2 pool in the hotel at 22nd floor and 29th floor .  The hotel is beside  Imax cinema .

DDaria GeoffrionVery spacious suites that have everything you need, small but nice gym. There is a construction going on just opposite Tower 2 where I stayed, so it was a little noisy. Bathroom needed better cleaning and some furniture in the kitchen was run-down but all in all a very decent place to stay in close proximity to Bondi beach, shops and restaurant. Good value for money.

AAnonymous UserFor my Sydney trip, I chose the Meriton Suites Kent Street, and overall, it was a great experience, especially for families. The hotel's location is super convenient, very close to Chinatown, with an abundance of dining options nearby. Whether you're craving Chinese food or local delicacies, you'll easily find something. The pho downstairs was delicious, making dining both easy and tasty. The suites are designed like apartments, fully equipped with everything you need for daily living, and the rooms are clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. Communication at the front desk was entirely in English. Overall, the hotel offers high practicality and convenience, perfect for family travelers who prioritize location and comfort. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Sydney if the need arises.

JJohnstonOn the plus side: we upgraded ourselves to a village suite and the size was spacious. Breakfast was fabulous and something to look forward to, although 7am start is a bit late for us.. Most of the staff were lovely and well trained. Room was cosy and quiet at night. Fresh towels and clean bathroom. Easy and convenient location outside of CBD. This is the only big hotel in the area and there are some great restaurants nearby - Carmela, Margaret, Bill’s etc. usefully close to Chemist Warehouse for essentials you’ve forgotten. On the negative: It should be classed as 4* - quite cheaply constructed and maintained. Not what you might consider to be luxury. Rooms are dark,  with poorly thought out lighting; the carpet rarely vacuumed (if at all) during our five night stay. Hand held shower head spray nozzles were blocked, bathtub drain was also blocked. Sinks not very clean. Windows in room and dining room very dirty. Big construction site adjacent so we moved rooms to get away from the noise and view of the cranes. Overpriced hotel offering when you consider we could have booked the Capella in CBD at nearly the same rate as our suite, but nice to be away from the city.
