"Baan Hin Sai Resort & Spa — Samui, Thailand This hotel is all about nature, tranquility, and the feeling of living right inside a jungle. The hotel grounds are incredibly well integrated into the surrounding landscape: lush greenery, massive rocks, and varying elevations – everything looks completely natural, without the impression that nature was 'forced' to accommodate construction. During our stay, we saw monitor lizards on the property twice. They scurry away and hide immediately, but the very fact of having such neighbors is more of a positive, confirming that the place is alive and authentic. It's really cool that the hotel exists in harmony with the natural environment, rather than instead of it. Upon check-in, we were offered drinks (though quite sweet), and they thoroughly answered all our questions. Throughout our stay, they were always available and assisted with any issues that came up. Guests are driven around the property by Thai staff in two electric buggies, which is convenient given the hotel's terrain and size. Every evening, musicians play and sing at the bar near the reception. The atmosphere is very lively and warm: you can dance, sing karaoke, and they even offer complimentary alcoholic cocktails, which is a pleasant and unexpected touch. Mornings here are a special delight. There's a stunning view of the sunrise, the sea breaking against the coastal rocks, and lots of sea foam. It's incredibly beautiful and meditative. The sea is clean. Breakfasts are buffet-style, but without a 'wow' factor. Our rating for the food is 6 out of 10: neither the presentation, approach, taste, nor variety impressed us. We didn't have lunch, dinner, or the festive menu, so we're only rating the breakfasts. The staff are welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. This is one of the hotel's strong advantages. We used the pool with views of the sea and rocks – the pool was clean, and we never saw anyone else in it during our entire stay, which added to the sense of seclusion and privacy. Ratings: Grounds: 8 / 10 Room: 7 / 10 Food (breakfasts): 6 / 10 PS for the hotel: It would be great to create a hub area near the reception – a place where guests could spend time during the day and evening. A table tennis table, billiards, and a small area with a pull-up bar and parallel bars would fit in perfectly."

"Nice resort but can do with some reservations. Amenities can be improved too as what is offered is below its own concept standards. Only 2 bath towels provided, adding hand or face towels would be good. No pool towels in the plunge pool room, having it would be nice. Umbrella is damaged so can’t use it properly, room maid should check these things. Only 2 pillows provided, having 4 pillows would be nice so each person can have 2 pillows for comfort sleeping. Rooms with Plunge pool should have its own on/off switch for guests to operate instead of having to call reception to turn it on every time we need to use it. The water flow in the bathroom shower and wash basin is not consistently flowing with pressure, it low and high water pressure."

"Hotel is just chic!! Breakfasts, this is a separate story, never before, in Thailand, and I have something to remember and to compare, we travel for 16 years every year, well, here, in no hotel on breakfast I didn't meet a coffee latte, cappuccino ... also perfectly prepared, I am already silent, about the egg ”Benedikt” and ”Pashot” ... pool is spacious and clean, the territory is tidy and pleasantly pleased with the eye, the unswimmable beach, in principle, the rest does not spoil ...ne next to the hotel, but in step-by-step availability, and 7/11 and the pass to the Lamai beach with the cleanest water and curious striped fish.but ... there is one but that does not fit in all this picture with oil ..in 5 days, we never changed the towels once. No white rooms, no beach colors...yes how? Is it possible, five days to use the same beach towels.There is no possibility to dry them, I had to go to the beach with heavy, raw towels ...it was very offensive ... and it is completely unclear why so? On the one hand, perfect service, and on the other hand dirty, raw towels.."

"Deluxe room 213 was good and spacious with big bath, but has a loud noise from neighbors house ac. There is very good beach for swimming. Nice swimming pool. Perfect breakfast. Friendly staff."

"Здравствуйте ! Проживала в отеле 4 ночи , выбрала для проживания более старый номер из-за Наличия в нем ванной . Рекомендую выбирать все таки новые номера ( разницы в цене вообще почти нет), они будут располагаться ближе к морю и будут более свежие . Из плюсов - красивая пляжная локация в конце ламаи у камней , на дне есть большие камни но они совершенно не смущают ибо ты их видишь и они далеко друг от друга расположены. На песке меньше мазута в отличии от основной части ламаи. - в отеле много забавных котиков , я их кормила , очень была Рада с ними встретиться и провести время )) - хорошая уборка номеров - завтраки неплохие , много фруктов - персонал рецепции и ресторана Минусы - расположение все таки отдаленное , немного неудобно выезжать на кольцевую дорогу тк в этой локации всегда активный трафик . При этом 7\11 в пешей доступности есть . Все это к самому отелю не относится и данную отдаленность можно считать и как плюс , в данной части пляжа меньше проходимость Был инцидент в номере с 2 огромными тараканами . Такое за всю историю моих многочисленных поездок в Тайланд я встретила во второй раз . И вопрос тут не к уборке точно . Не понимаю почему на завтраках нет кофемашин как во всех отелях , официанты бедные ходят все утро с чайниками предлагая кофе которое сильно разбавлено"

"I had a truly enjoyable stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, everything felt comfortable and well thought out. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a spacious sea view room, which made the experience even more memorable. The hotel has a private infinity pool filled with sea water which was the perfect spot to unwind while soaking in the panoramic ocean views. The staff were consistently warm and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made the stay feel special. Breakfast was satisfying each morning, with a good variety of options. While the menu remained largely consistent throughout the stay, there were small daily changes that kept things fresh without straying too far from the familiar. Overall, a comfortable and scenic retreat with excellent service. I’d happily return."

"The hotel was beautiful and in good location for those who like the chaweng area. However, there was something major that was really disappointing for me when I am going to an hotel in a level like this. The shower was terrible, in a level that I can say that I couldn't really shower. In the beginning there were no hot water and after a little fix there were hot water but in a really low stream that you can't really shower. I tried to talk with the receptionist 3 times. The first time they said they will fix it and didn't, the second time I called them from my room cold and dirty with the towel and they came to fix buy as I said they didn't really fix it. After that I came to the reception to tell them that it's still not working and that it's disappointing and they said they have nothing to do!! This is not something that I would expect from a hotel like this. Another weird thing was that when we came to do check out, the receptionist forced us to write 5/5 review in front of her eyes and write the name of some of them in the review and she didn't really ask how was the experience for us. This stress wasn't comfortable for us."

"Had issues with the breakfast. I booked and paid for five days , two people with breakfast for two, through a different site. I was by myself for the first three days. The first day I invited my two friends to join me for breakfast. They said I would have to pay for one breakfast. I explained that only I would be there for first three days therefore should not have to pay extra breakfast since I paid for ten breakfasts total and was not going to use that many. I went and talked to the General Manager. That was nothing but a lesson in frustration. She stated that was two per day and they did not carry over. No where did it say that when booking. She was not flexible even 10 Baht. Breakfast was 500 baht. My girlfriend came after three days so we decided to stay 3 more days. I booked three more days on Trip.com. I went to office to ask if breakfast was included and the Person at the front desk said yes!!! My girlfriend and I ate breakfast the next day and after we ate said breakfast was not included!!!! Went to office again and the assistant manager was even worse than the General Manager. They have no idea what customer service means and the word of the employees obviously means nothing"

"Great hillside location with beautiful views overlooking the Bophut area, and only a short drive to Fisherman’s Village. Excellent breakfast with a wide selection, including hot food cooked fresh. There’s a gym and yoga classes, plus a spa on site, all of which we used apart from spa but was popular. The infinity pool is fabulous, and the restaurant was lovely for dinner. I’m vegetarian and had a good range of options. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the buggy service to the main area was very useful as the hotel sits on a steep hill. We really liked the relaxed vibe and the huge, spacious room. Would happily stay here again."
