"Great location. Very well served by public transport, and within walking distance of several attractions. Easily and quickly accessible from the train station. Very warm welcome from the management team. The apartments are quite true to the photos. The only slight difference is that the kitchen isn't meant for cooking, so there's no crockery provided. However, it is equipped with an electric kettle, a microwave, and a refrigerator. Apartment 2021 on the 20th floor, where I extended my stay. Magnificent view. Spacious apartment. Very quiet. Very comfortable bedding. Living area. Very pleasant when you need to spend time in the apartment. Large projection screen. Washing machine with detergent provided - so useful. Large bathroom. Very clean. Very friendly cleaning service. They can clean the room daily and provide two bottles of water every day. The Wi-Fi had some ups and downs, but improved as the stay progressed. In short, an address I would gladly return to for its value for money."

"Staying at SONDERIA Chengdu Wenshu Monastery (Wen Shu Yuan branch) was such a pleasant surprise! It completely changed my impression of hostels. It's right next to Wenshu Monastery and just a few minutes' walk to the subway station. The wooden decor has such a premium feel! The bedding is super soft, and best of all, every room has its own private bathroom with a separate wet and dry area, which is incredibly clean. It offers great privacy and a sense of security, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. The American retro bar on the first floor has an amazing vibe! You can grab coffee and work during the day, and in the evening, there's live music where you can enjoy a drink. There are tons of young people and international guests, making it easy to make friends even if you're socially awkward. The 24-hour front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, and they offer free coffee, luggage storage, and a laundry room. It feels just as comfortable as staying at a friend's place!"

Being right in the city center makes getting anywhere super convenient. It's only about a ten-minute walk to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li. Downstairs, there are convenience stores and plenty of snack shops, so you'll never go hungry, even late at night. Taking a taxi to Kuanzhai Alley, Jinli, or People's Park usually costs around the minimum fare, and the subway station is also nearby. It's truly a 'golden base' for exploring Chengdu. The value for money, considering this prime location, is so good it makes you want to grin. The room itself was very comfortable. The space was generous, the bedding clean and soft, and the soundproofing was good, ensuring a great night's sleep. You can tell most of the decor was thoughtfully done; the living and bedroom areas feel new and cozy. The air conditioning was powerful, and hot water came quickly. However, I have to be honest: the bathroom decor definitely shows its age. Perhaps it's an older building, as the toilet and shower area facilities look a bit dated. That said, they worked perfectly fine and were clean, which is what matters. Aside from the bathroom, I honestly couldn't find fault with any other part of the experience. But for those driving, pay attention! The parking is a bit confusing. There's a multi-story car park and an underground garage, and once you park, you can't go directly up to the hotel from there; you have to switch elevators. It's genuinely disorienting the first time. I spent ages dragging my luggage around the garage, battling with two different elevators before finally finding the front desk. I suggest contacting the hotel in advance to clarify the route or calling them for assistance once you're in the parking lot – it will save a lot of time. Overall, this minor parking hassle doesn't diminish my fondness for the place at all. After all, parking difficulties are common in city centers, and I'm grateful there's even a spot available. If you're not driving, staying here is simply perfect. If you are driving, don't worry – just think of it as a puzzle game; once you solve it, you'll feel it was all worth it. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Chengdu and recommend it to anyone wanting to explore the city center without spending a fortune on a star-rated hotel. It's genuinely comfortable, convenient, and affordable – I had a fantastic stay!"

"The room was super comfortable and spacious, cleaned very well. It is located right next to IFS and the main street of Chengdu with lots of local food stalls near by (even a fresh fruit stand outside the hostel). But the absolute best part were the staff!! They all spoke very good English and super helpful. I was almost stranded in Chengdu and Keya is the only reason I managed to catch my flight back home! Also wonder place to meet people - they have many common areas :)"

However, during my several-day stay, the staff didn't inform me that I could get a free bottle of water daily. When I asked about it later, after being there for three days, the staff member was reluctant to give me what was rightfully mine—just one bottle of water. That was completely unnecessary and quite a mood killer. Their service awareness definitely needs improvement."

"The location is excellent plus when you step out of the building the metro station is right in front. The front desk people are warm and friendly and they speak English haha. The room was nice and clean with cleaning regularly. There’s a coffee shop within the hostel premises. And the neighbourhood is very nice and convenient, lots to eat and coffee shops around the block."
