"A very good accommodation experience. The guesthouse's courtyard was very comfortable, and the rooms had underfloor heating. The owner even provided a heater, which made it very warm. Hot water was readily available and very hot. The owner was very kind and welcoming. We arrived at the guesthouse in the evening, and after parking our car, the owner drove us to dinner. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel owner was very warm and enthusiastic, proactively helping with our luggage and even providing pick-up and drop-off service to and from the Feilai Temple bus station. The room was brand new and well-equipped with all sorts of amenities. The dispersed oxygen supply, in particular, was a lifesaver for those of us with altitude sickness. The location is excellent; the hotel has a rooftop viewing platform, and it's also very close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform, just about a 5-minute walk. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money in Feilai Temple."

"Room has everthing you need (heating blanket, AC - altough not powerful enough for heating the room, waterboiler, cups) and a decent view over Deqin. However the house is quite old and even the non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes lit in past days.
The owner was very helpful and, even tough we had our language barriers, tried to answer our questions."

"Amenities: They provide heated blankets and a graphene heater, which was a lifesaver since it was snowing the day I visited. Without them, I probably wouldn't have been able to sleep. If it's going to be really cold, I'd suggest booking a place with floor heating, as this one doesn't have it.
Location: It's not too far from the viewpoint, but there's a building under construction diagonally across the street, which slightly impacts the view. The rooftop has its own viewpoint with several tripods available for use.
Service: There's no elevator, and even though we had luggage, no one offered to help us carry it up."

"The room was spacious and the heating worked perfectly. The view from the window was also great. The owner offered a pick-up and drop-off service for watching the sunrise, and even though it was a bit of a drive, it was definitely worth it. My only small suggestion would be to consider adding a small oxygen machine, as going from an altitude of 2000m to over 3000m, I experienced noticeable altitude sickness when sleeping at night."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome stay experience! The room is heated enough, not cold at all, equipped with an oxygen generator, and it is not afraid of high reaction. The projection quality is clear and it is too cool to lie down and watch a movie at night. You can watch Rizhao Jinshan 🤩🤩 on the roof. The clean bedding is comfortable and the boss is also enthusiastic. It is highly recommended!"

"I saw on the Internet that this is a newly opened inn. I booked an ordinary triple room. I thought it was an ordinary inn. I didn't expect that the owner would warmly welcome us when we arrived at the door of the inn. It was around 2 o'clock in the morning. The owner made fried rice for us despite his daytime fatigue. I was very touched. Thank you, boss, you are great. The ordinary triple room is also very warm and there are ******* blankets woven by Tibetans themselves. Even without floor heating, it is not cold at all. Thank you again, boss. I will come again next time. I sincerely recommend it."

"After looking at many options online, we finally chose to stay here. The owner came out to greet us as soon as we arrived and helped guide us to a parking spot. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a family room, which was very spacious and spotlessly clean 👍. The amenities were excellent; the oxygen machine and humidifier were incredibly helpful for those experiencing altitude sickness. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the shower water temperature and pressure were perfect. The indoor temperature was very warm and comfortable 👍, and we could see the Meili Snow Mountain right from our room. There's also an elevator. It's only a 5-minute walk to the Feilai Temple observation deck, and there's a snack street right downstairs. We didn't see the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight' on our first day, so we extended our stay for another night, and we were lucky enough to witness the complete 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight,' which was absolutely worth it. Highly recommend 👍!"

JJiepipi .The room was spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, with comfortable bedding. The 24-hour hot water and separate wet and dry areas were fantastic. The hotel thoughtfully provided local seasonal fruits and snacks in the lobby for guests to help themselves. It was my first time trying Naxi apples, and they were delicious! The sunlight streaming into the hotel restaurant and kitchen made breakfast feel warm and cozy. The breakfast selection was plentiful, including corn buns, rice noodles, and unique fried barley pastries. The owners were very welcoming; they answered all my questions about Shangri-La and provided information on nearby attractions and routes. I stayed for three nights! Also, Benzilan is located in a valley at a low altitude, with a cool and comfortable climate.

GGuest UserWhen I travel, I always look at reviews before booking. After extensive research, this place came up to be the most highly rated. Even though it wasn’t located as well as the other hotels (i will address why this is not a problem later).
Firstly, the decor was beautifully Tibetan-themed. We got our room upgraded for free. This accommodation is new, so the facilities are extremely modern, with floor heating, smart-room features, and the most advanced toilet bidet system ever! There’s washing and even drying features, first time I’ve ever seen in a toilet! Secondly, the service was top-notch. The owner offers to drive you to the sunrise viewing platform, which is about 3 minutes drive away, and even offers to drive you to stargaze at night! This was certainly not expected, which I think the owner had done very well in.
There’s even a small fitness corner if you’re interested in working out. All in all, this was one of my favourite stays in Yunnan!

I was only planning to stay one night and make do, but as soon as I walked in, it felt so clean and comfortable that I immediately extended my stay for another day; I really didn't want to switch places. The owner is incredibly warm and friendly, and the service is super thoughtful—they anticipate everything you could possibly need. Not only did they remind us about breakfast and things to be aware of when going out, but they even drove us to see the 'golden mountain bathed in sunlight,' which was incredibly considerate. What's even more amazing is that I left my charger in the room when I checked out and didn't even realize it myself. The owner saw it, contacted me right away, packed it up, and sent it back to me. So reliable and heartwarming! My entire stay felt incredibly relaxing, just like being at home. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserFacilities: The whole smart home system was very convenient, the room was spacious, and the underfloor heating was lovely. The oxygen concentrator also had a nasal cannula option. Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: It's directly opposite the Feilai Temple bus stop, which is super convenient, and only a few hundred meters from the viewing platform. Service: Excellent! Both ladies were very sweet and promptly helped resolve any issues.

AAnonymous UserThey say you might not see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” in October, so I booked this place to avoid wasting money on a view that might not deliver. Turns out, we actually saw it! Super worth it!! The location is right next to where the bus drops you off, so it's a very easy walk, and close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the underfloor heating worked perfectly. There are only four or five rooms, and the view is absolutely stunning. The owner is very simple and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this for anyone hoping to catch the Golden Mountain but worried about a wasted 4-hour drive if they miss it. The accommodation quality is easily more than triple that of other scenic hotels at the same price point, and the courtyard itself can help ease any disappointment if you don't see the sunrise.
Let's talk about the downsides:
1. Feilai Temple is currently under construction, so there are large vehicles at night. I personally wasn't bothered by the noise, but I can't guarantee others wouldn't be. This seems to be a common issue for hotels along this road.
2. The room was very clean and tidy, but I wasn't a fan of the air freshener scent. My partner didn't notice it, though.
3. There were some really large flies. I hope the owner can improve pest control. Although they'll probably freeze to death in a few days, seeing them definitely puts a damper on the mood.

JJune73This was the best stay during my trip to Yunnan. The boss and his wife were very friendly, they kept asking what else we need and helped to carry our luggage to the 4th floor. The room was spacious and comfortable. They have heating bed and floor. If i would come to Feilaisi again i would definitely choose this hotel again.

MM347362****The biggest pleasant surprise of my Yubeng trip was definitely this guesthouse. Opening the window revealed a breathtaking vista of snow-capped mountains and pristine forests; when shrouded in mist, it felt like a fairyland. Waking up to that view each morning was truly healing – the scenery is so stunning it left me speechless! What made it even better was the warm service, especially from the front desk staff. They were incredibly enthusiastic and attentive throughout, patiently helping us plan our hiking routes, reminding us of important precautions, and even proactively drying our soaking wet hiking shoes after our treks. The attention to detail showed so much warmth. Staying here offers both the tranquil beauty of nature and the thoughtful care of family. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Yubeng!

GGuest UserA lack of budget options in Yubeng has left this place somewhat complacent in its upkeep, and general care-factor.
If you can’t find any staff for afternoon check-in, you can try checking behind the desk to see if there’s one asleep there, like we did.
The room had an oil heater and electric blankets which was great. The beds were clean and comfy, and the make-shift plumbing produced lots of hot water.
There was an AC unit installed as advertised, but it was not able to be connected to the electricity outlet. When asked, a staff member informed us that AC was “not allowed” and that the unit did not have a heating function anyway.
The view from the rooms is oriented down and across the valley, rather than towards the snowy peaks.
You would pay a lot less for this standard of accommodation elsewhere in China, but given that it is in Yubeng, the remoteness necessarily increases its cost. both Upper and Lower Yubeng are experiencing a huge construction boom, no doubt in anticipation of the upcoming opening of the upgraded road to Xidang. The future situation might well increase competition in the future.

GGuest UserThis room is rather pricy for what it offers. Rather basic room and toilet. There is a humidifier and a small room heater which doesn’t really help in the middle of winter. However to our surprise, the bed is electrically heated and works very well and extremely useful in the wintry cold. Location is not too bad as there are many restaurants nearby and the mountain sunrise viewing deck area is maybe within 200m away. Please checkout the Sichuan restaurant just opposite the hotel which would also be recommended by the hotel staff as the food is affordable and extremely delicious. Speaking of the staff, the staff was not at the front desk at check in however he did respond quickly via WeChat. His attitude is bad as though we owed him a living.
