"I highly recommend the Pudin Yanxuan Hotel (Nanjing Tongshan Metro Station)! ✅ [Location] The hotel is located 800 meters south of Exit 1 of Tongshan Metro Station and is very close to Lukou Airport, making it perfect for catching flights. ✅ [Front Desk Service] Our family of three stayed here, and the front desk was incredibly thoughtful. They proactively upgraded our room for free, providing a much more spacious bed, which made our experience fantastic. ✅ [Airport Shuttle Service] The hotel offers an airport shuttle service. Before departure, they call to wake you up and remind you of your departure time, so you don't have to worry about oversleeping. The shuttle driver was warm and attentive, helping us with our luggage, and the ride took about 15 minutes directly to the airport. It made traveling hassle-free and efficient. This is my top choice for early morning flights and layovers. The overall service is thoughtful and excellent. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm catching a flight!"

Every space is crafted to be a livable work of art, and every journey becomes an encounter with beautiful design. Since our founding, Dreamland has steadfastly upheld the core values of Aesthetics, Locality, Warmth, and Texture. Each of our properties is uniquely tailored by a professional design team, rejecting repetitive style templates. We delve into the natural endowments and cultural heritage of each destination, translating local cultural symbols into a modern design language—from architectural form and spatial layout to the finest soft furnishing details. The roughness of native stone, the warmth of solid wood grain, and the ingenuity of intangible cultural heritage crafts are all woven into the fabric of our spaces. The play of light and shadow, the artistry of negative space, and the dialogue between materials collectively outline our design aesthetic, allowing architecture to grow naturally from its environment and enabling guests to immersively perceive the local spirit and design charm. In shaping our spaces, we balance design appeal with practicality, eschewing extravagant, superfluous forms in favor of intentional details that serve both function and mood. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame majestic natural vistas, turning mountains, clouds, and city life into a dynamic backdrop for the room. Human-centric layouts accommodate diverse travel needs, while whole-home smart systems and high-quality amenities ensure that artistic living never compromises comfort. Our communal areas are conceived as “living room-style” hubs, softening boundaries and fostering natural interaction among travelers within an aesthetic space, thereby building a warm, temporary community. Our service experience revolves around “Customized Aesthetic Hospitality,” extending the design philosophy to every touchpoint of the stay. Our dedicated concierge team combines aesthetic sensibility with deep local knowledge. From pre-arrival personalized itinerary planning and aesthetic experience recommendations, to curated local dining and guides to hidden gems during the stay, and further to immersive local activities like非遗手作 (intangible cultural heritage handcraft workshops) or nature exploration—we ensure guests don't just stay in a designed space, but deeply experience the life and culture of the destination. We maintain stringent quality benchmarks through standardized hygiene and service protocols, adding a layer of reassurance to the artistic journey, allowing travelers to find relaxation and a sense of home within the beauty of design. Dreamland caters to urban travelers, culture enthusiasts, quality-conscious couples, and families who share a love for aesthetics and profound travel experiences. Whether for a city retreat, a mountain healing escape, or a cultural exploration, guests find a design-led residence that resonates with their journey. We actively practice ecological and cultural sustainability by selecting eco-friendly materials, implementing energy-efficient operations, and collaborating deeply with local artisans and heritage custodians. This transforms our homestays into vessels for revitalizing and sharing regional culture, achieving a symbiotic integration of design, travel, nature, and heritage. Looking ahead, Dreamland Designer Homestay will continue to deepen its expertise in the designer accommodation sector, expanding to more premium destinations. Through more creative spatial design, deeper local immersion, and warmer customized service, we aim to establish a benchmark brand in China—one distinguished equally by its aesthetic identity and its genuinely warm hospitality. We hold a firm belief that good design makes journeys more meaningful. We aspire to be the vessel, guided by design, that carries every traveler toward their dream of the perfect stay, ensuring that each visit is a flawless encounter with “Dreams and Beauty.”

"The location is near Nanjing Xinjiekou, not far at all, with plenty of great food options nearby. It's convenient for both taxis and the subway. The front desk is on the 6th floor, and the rooms are directly accessible by elevator. The three elevators are surprisingly quick. They ask every day if you need room cleaning, and the hot water comes on quickly, making for a comfortable shower. Watching projections while lying in bed is very convenient, and the air conditioning cools effectively. It's really suitable for a trip. There are also many delicious places to eat around. I recommend the hawthorn plum ribs from Shang Hao Yu Wei nearby, as well as the rice balls and fermented rice dumplings from Fang Po. A bit further out, there's Li Jia's beef potstickers; if it's too crowded, you can go to Cao Qiao Jia next door – the taste is just as good."

"I came to Nanjing for a trip this time, and I never expected such a comfortable stay. I just have to praise it! The room was spotless, the bathroom had no strange odors whatsoever, and the bed was perfectly made. The toiletries were neatly arranged. As soon as I entered the hotel, the staff greeted me with big smiles. Check-in at the front desk was very quick, and staff members would actively greet me when I met them in the hallways. The service was just right. The environment is quiet, the facilities are complete, and the location is excellent; Southeast University is just a few steps away, Xuanwu Lake is also nearby, and getting to the Presidential Palace, Confucius Temple, and Laomendong is very convenient. It's just a few bus or subway stops away. The most commendable thing is that you need to swipe your card to take the elevator to the guest rooms, preventing unauthorized people from entering, which made me feel very secure. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit!"

Yindu International Female Only Hostel (Nanjing Xinjiekou Nanjing Confucius Temple)

After a lot of research, I finally decided on Yindu, which I can confidently call the pinnacle of all-female hostels nationwide. I honestly don't think any other hostel can surpass Yindu. The location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around. It's probably only a 6-7 minute walk from the subway station. There's a McDonald's and a police station downstairs, and an elevator which is really handy. The owner even provides fresh, sweet, and delicious watermelon. The environment is also fantastic. There are plenty of showers and toilets, so you never have to wait, and lots of hairdryers too. Sitting in the common area listening to music during downtime is very pleasant. When I checked in, the owner was very meticulous, explaining everything and introducing the facilities. All in all, Yindu is just the best!

This summer, I took my daughter to stay at the Dream Castle parent-child room at Yunxi Yasu, and choosing this accommodation for our Nanjing family trip really saved us a lot of hassle. The guesthouse's location is super convenient, making it easy to get to Hongshan Zoo, Xuanwu Lake, and Maya Water Park without long commutes, which is a big plus when traveling with kids. The room has just the right touch of childlike charm, with pink bow pillows, dessert-themed artwork, and a gentle, cute vibe. It even comes with a DIY dessert station, a complete set of children's makeup toys, and various plush dolls. My daughter was completely immersed the moment we walked in, playing quietly all afternoon. Downstairs, there are plenty of dining options; my daughter was thrilled to find Cha Yan Yue Se (a popular tea shop), and local specialties like Jiming soup dumplings and duck blood vermicelli soup are just downstairs. The overall setup is clean and thoughtful, perfectly catering to a little girl's preferences. It's highly recommended for families with young daughters who want both convenience and comfort on their travels.

I was initially asked by the hotel to leave a five-star review, but after my full stay I can’t do so in good conscience, and I have since adjusted my rating based on the second half of my booking. This was a two-part stay (two separate bookings of five days each), and while there are genuinely strong positives, the overall experience was significantly affected by ongoing service and cleanliness issues. There are still clear strengths to highlight. The location is excellent—quiet, safe, and surrounded by good restaurants, convenience stores, and a pleasant park nearby. The rooms are also very well designed: spacious, comfortable, and equipped with useful amenities such as a washing machine. The layout and overall setup make it a very livable space. The staff were, for the most part, kind and helpful. One staff member in particular was consistently warm and welcoming. When issues were raised, the team did attempt to respond professionally, and I do appreciate that some solutions were offered, including a discounted rate for a future stay. However, there were repeated concerns that affected my experience, particularly during the second half of my stay. Cleanliness remained a consistent issue. Even after rooms were serviced, dust accumulated very quickly—so much so that items like my laptop would be visibly covered overnight. This raises concerns about the overall level of cleanliness and ventilation. In addition, housekeeping services felt inconsistent. On multiple occasions I had to specifically request basic essentials such as bottled water and fresh towels, rather than these being proactively restocked daily as would normally be expected in this type of accommodation. Service consistency also varied. Some days staff would check in or ask whether I needed room cleaning, while on other days there was no such follow-up at all. This lack of routine made the experience feel unpredictable for a stay of this length. There were also concerns regarding pricing and communication during an attempted extension of my stay. I had initially paid approximately 268 rand per night (already at a discounted rate). When I asked to extend for one additional night during the May Day holiday period, I was quoted around 800 rand. While I understand that rates fluctuate during peak demand, this felt inconsistent given the earlier discount offered due to the significant issues experienced in the first rooms. The handling of this request also felt quite rigid initially, although the pricing discussion changed once I indicated I would be leaving a review. By that point, however, I had already made alternative arrangements in another city. I also noticed a change in overall tone and attentiveness from staff following my initial complaints, particularly on the day I was trying to extend my stay. In that instance, even basic housekeeping services were not offered, which contributed to a feeling of inconsistency in service. Ultimately, I think this hotel has strong potential. The location, room design, and general setup are genuinely excellent, and there are staff members who are clearly committed and welcoming. However, the inconsistency in cleanliness standards, basic housekeeping expectations, and service delivery means I cannot recommend it as a reliably high-quality stay at this stage. With more consistent attention to cleanliness and service fundamentals, this could be an excellent hotel experience—but in its current state, it falls short of that standard.

This hostel changed the idea I had of a great hostel! SEE OTHER REVIEWS FOR COMPREHENSIVE UNDERSTANDING CHECK-IN/STAFF: Simple & easy. There is a language barrier with most of the staff, but it's nothing a little patience, on both ends, and a translator can't fix. I was helped to my room with my bags. I personally enjoyed the staff and especially one of the cleaning ladies. She was truly a joy to see every day and seemed like she genuinely liked seeing me. They helped when my food order had issues, twice. I was helped getting I was running late for my train on check-out morning. ROOMS/FACILITIES: Comfortable, clean and curtain for the beds. I the rooms are reasonably spacious. The average person follows the general quiet in the rooms so you can sleep peacefully any time you want. The blanket is thick, some beds have extra little hooks. (Would be nice if they added them for all beds) Pillows are decent, towel and locker provided. Beds have North American & Chinese style plugs. The entire outlet system of the building seems to be that way. AMENITIES/GOOD TO KNOW Laundry detergent, toothbrush/toothpaste individually wrapped units and earplugs provided at no cost. Towel/bed sheet change upon request is offered if stay is 3+ days. The main lobby toilets are used buy restaurants guests from next door. The is security at night (not personally for the hostel, for the alley) Private homes are across the way so keep the volume low to quiet after 10pm. OVERALL/PERSONAL THOUGHTS ” I would recommend staying here for a short or long period. Excellent valut for dollars. I felt very welcomed, comfortable & overall relaxed. My only real complaint is the lack of fridge, microwave and a sink area. As a budget traveler it can get costly having to order or go out for every meal is super inconvenient. To be fair, you can ask for your items to be placed in the staff fridge at the bar. The downside is having to wait and ask for staff to get it for me. This was super frustrating when I wanted my food and had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to finally be able to do it. Not to mention the general inconvenience of not being able to go to a fridge at will. Even though there's a laundry area upstairs, many people will do laundry in the sinks leaving the bathroom floors constantly wet and countertops soaked. Not management's fault but could possibly be addressed in the rules. There are days where a gentleman will come sit outside the hostel or the general alley area with Barky McBarkerson his incredibly annoying dog that's constantly barking at everyone and everything. When they're directly on the property hanging out infront don't even think of enjoying the fresh air peacefully . I think there's a way for management to address bothersome behavior to their guest. IMO if management could somehow provide a common fridge and a microwave, they would be close to top tier hostel all things considered. Review based on multiple stays. Enjoy

The cleanliness and environment here are a major highlight; every area is meticulously tidy. The central air conditioning runs silently, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The front desk staff are welcoming and pleasant to communicate with. The hotel boasts a prime location right next to the ancient Qinhuai River, with all major attractions within walking distance. It's highly recommended. My stay was incredibly relaxing, and I strongly suggest it to tourists visiting from out of town. The bathroom's wet and dry separation design is well-planned and kept clean, without any dampness. The high-speed internet was consistently smooth with no lagging whatsoever. The front desk was efficient, making check-in and check-out quick. The hotel is located right at the entrance to the ancient Qinhuai, meaning popular attractions are right at your doorstep.

My wife and I are trying our best to have children but it has been very challenging. We needed a place close the hospital and decided to try Qingmu hotel because it was conveniently located and looked comfortable from the outside and had mostly positive reviews on trip.com. As a foreigner who speaks very little mandarin I was concerned about communication with the hotel staff. But I was pleasantly surprised with how efficiently they handled this problem. We were able to chat with help of WeChat and google translate. They also knew more English than I thought they would. Soon we were very friendly and found a productive way to communicate my needs and get the best room possible. They also helped with our travel bags and provided water and a snack. I felt very happy and comfortable with their services and they made this feel like a home more than a hotel stay. The room was very inviting and smelled freshly cleaned. The bed was very comfortable and my wife has had back pain but said that the bed was perfect for her. It was nice that they were able to store our medication in a temperature controlled fridge while we continued to work towards conception. We had a wonderful view of the city and the bathroom had essentials to aid in freshening up between sessions. The shower had hot water and a removable head and could fit two people. We had access to a microwave oven to warm our lunch and a laundry center to catch up on our travel clothing cleaning needs. The hotel is located close to the subway and is surrounded by many restaurants and other forms of entertainment. Staying here during the Chinese New Year you could feel the festivities all around you, with brightly colored decorations and music. The hotel was also pleasantly decorated with flowers in our rooms as well as in the lobby. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great stay, for an even better price, my wife and I will definitely return here. I attached some photos of my stay below.
