"I must give it a thumbs up👍 This time I went to Kuhuayaki and I couldn’t stay on the mountain for some reason. I wanted to give it a try and found a B&B at the bottom of the mountain. Unexpectedly, I found a treasure. The store is located near the visitor center and is convenient for taking the shuttle bus. , the first floor is its own small supermarket with rich items, the room is on the second floor, the decoration is very new and clean, there is plenty of hot water, the central air conditioning is also very powerful, all the facilities and equipment are good, and the most important thing is that there is an open-air balcony. You can see the 99-meter Buddha from the terrace. You must know that this is a room of about 160! ! !

"Highly recommend this treasure homestay next to the Jiuhuashan Visitor Center! I thought that the price was affordable and the accommodation experience would be more ordinary, but the whole process was full of surprises and completely exceeded expectations.
The room size is right, the whole is clean and tidy. The quality of the bedding is super high, the texture is comparable to that of a high-end homestay, and the comfort of staying is full. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, clean and refreshing, and the living experience is particularly good.
The boss and the proprietress treat people sincerely and enthusiastically, with gentle and patient personality, and will answer questions carefully. "It was almost 3pm when we arrived at Jiuhua Mountain, so we booked a homestay at the foot of the mountain in advance. The price was cheap. We went to the Dayuan Cultural Park to worship Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The boss provided very good service. He was very enthusiastic to help us drive to the Dayuan Cultural Park. He helped us take our luggage back to the homestay. After visiting the Dayuan Cultural Park, he also took us to the tourist center for a vegetarian meal. We left early the next morning. The boss had a guest going out early in the morning and could not send us to the tourist center in person, but he arranged a small car to send us. However, the luggage of two people was too big to fit! It was also very close to take a taxi to the tourist center. It was very cheap. For us who don’t smoke, the biggest problem is that the room has a strong smell of smoke! The first floor also seems to have the smell of smoke rushing into the room. After staying overnight, I kept spitting out spit with the smell of smoke! If you are not used to the smell of smoke and want to book a room, you may have to ask the boss if there is a non-smoking room!"

GGuest UserThis is a wonderful guesthouse, clean, tidy, and warmly decorated. They offer a pick-up service from the station; we arrived at Jiuhuashan Station around 9 PM, and the owner personally picked us up. The guesthouse's exterior resembles a small villa nestled in the mountains. The owners are incredibly hospitable and kind, providing thoughtful care and even giving us a small gift: a phone stand. The bathroom has a separate shower and toilet, plenty of hot water, and a quiet, comfortable night's sleep. At 6 AM the next morning, the owner even arranged for a taxi driver to pick us up and take us to the visitor center. In short, I give it a perfect score from start to finish. I wish the owners great success and prosperity. With such affordable prices, it's sure to be packed with guests.

I have stayed in many guesthouses across China, but this one stands out in a very special way. From the very first moment, the communication via WeChat was friendly, quick, and reliable – even though my Chinese is limited and the staff’s English is not extensive. Still, everything worked beautifully. Warm, patient, uncomplicated. It already gives you the feeling that you are in good hands.
I stayed for two days, and throughout my entire time there, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up right on time upon arrival – an invaluable service in a mountain area that can be a little confusing for newcomers. The guesthouse itself is extremely comfortable: warm, well-designed rooms with excellent facilities, a huge screen, electric curtains, cozy bedding, and all the small details that make travel easier. I immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of.
During my stay, the staff assisted me with everything I needed, always with kindness and without any complications. When it was time to leave, they also arranged transport back to my bus at exactly the time I requested. Truly flawless service.
But the most extraordinary highlight was something I did not expect at all: the free guided tour that the homestay organizes for all their guests. They drove us to the starting point, and then we spent the day walking through the misty mountain paths, visiting nine of the most important temples on Jiuhuashan. It was magical – quiet, mysterious, deeply atmospheric. Our guide took wonderful care of everyone, explained so much about the temples, the mountain, the history, and the spirit of Dizang Bodhisattva, and created a sense of depth that went far beyond sightseeing.
This was not a tourist activity.
It was a spiritual and cultural experience – something you can only receive from people who truly love their mountain and want to share it with others. In the fog, among ancient stones, incense smoke, and the sound of footsteps on wet leaves, one begins to understand why Jiuhuashan has been a sacred place for centuries.
My conclusion:
This homestay offers not only comfort, warmth, and excellent service, but also a genuine connection to the spiritual heart of Jiuhuashan. I can recommend Tanxiangyuan Homestay without any hesitation. For pilgrims, travelers, lovers of nature, or anyone seeking a meaningful experience, this place is simply perfect. I am grateful for every moment I spent there.

The biggest advantage is that it is very close to the Palace of the Flesh (enter from the west gate, it is about 600 meters away. This is a shortcut for those who don’t want to climb the mountain to the Palace of the Flesh. ) However, this B&B is too far away from the center of Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area, too remote, and life is really inconvenient. The service is also really average. From the time I checked in to the time I left, I didn't speak to the landlord for more than ten words, so I can't say that I was warm or considerate. I can only say that I didn't have any bad feelings. Compared to the price, this experience felt a bit disappointing.

The owners were incredibly hospitable, even offering to pick us up and drop us off, which showed how thoughtful they were. We immediately decided to extend our stay by another day. Room is clean and functional .
Am an easy traveller and very satisfied with the hotel. Of course you can walk around and look for a hotel (there are many many hotels !!!!!!) but I think if u pre book u will make your life easier especially if u have a luggage.
He planned the itinerary for me. and it was a very fulfilling walking trip in nature visiting temples and paying respects to 地藏菩萨 .

GGuest UserThe boss drove to the ticket office to pick me up. The boss and his family were very friendly. They also brought me a thin blanket at my request. The service was excellent. The room was as shown in the picture. Objectively speaking, it was in line with its price. After all, it was not expensive. It was clean and tidy. The only problem was that the shower door in the bathroom was not closed tightly and the water leaked outside. The water temperature was sometimes hot and sometimes cold.
