"This guesthouse offers excellent value for money. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are large. It's also very close to the scenic area entrance, a 5-6 minute walk (no more than 500 meters).
The landlady is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about the area (she's a tour guide). After assessing our physical condition, she patiently and meticulously planned our itinerary, detailing every temple, every photo spot, and every fork in the road. She even provided a map. Following the map's markings ensured we didn't miss a single attraction—she was so professional!"

"This stay was absolutely perfect! The owner was incredibly warm and attentive, providing point-to-point pick-up and drop-off service, saving us the hassle of finding transportation and getting around. They also thoughtfully recommended perfect itineraries and off-the-beaten-path scenic spots based on our itinerary, ensuring we didn't miss anything, and the scenery along the way was breathtaking.
Even better was the restaurant the owner recommended – a true gem! The food was authentic, the portions were generous, and it was incredibly affordable. We ate there twice, and the kids ate exceptionally well, finishing every last bite. Everyone in our group raved about it.
As for the room, it was clean, spacious, and bright, making it feel airy and comfortable. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and we slept soundly every night.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Danxia Mountain. Highly recommended!!!"

"We booked a family duplex room mainly because my son loved the fish in it. It didn't face the mountains or have a balcony, otherwise, the opposite rooms would have had large windows, and the beautiful mountain view from the bed would have been much more comfortable.
On the second floor, my son mentioned many nameless flying insects, and he spent some time ”catching them.” The room was minimalist, providing three bottles of mineral water, a kettle, slippers (not disposable, but we didn't dare wear them), and disposable toothbrushes. I was a bit disappointed; hotels costing 200 RMB usually provide tea or coffee bags, but this place didn't. I really wanted tea or coffee, even though I had my own water.
The breakfast included was disappointing. I understand it's Chinese style, but you can't just give me a fruit, a piece of apple, and a cup of soy milk. It doesn't justify the 600 RMB per night.
At least this place has a pool, which is better than nothing, and my child had fun. As a mother, my personal feelings aren't that important.
In short, low value for money."

"To be honest, I waited several days to write this review because I was hesitant. The location is great, right next to the Yangyuan Stone Scenic Area, just a three-minute walk to the bridge. The facilities aren't great, but they're not bad either—just the standard for a guesthouse in a scenic area. It's a converted family home, so you can't expect too much. So why the hesitation? Because something happened. From my perspective, it's very frustrating, but I can't see things from his point of view, so I can only try to describe the events as objectively as possible from my perspective. It wasn't a big deal—just a phone charger. I had two chargers, one on the table and one by the bedside. Checking out, packing, getting in the car, and driving home took over three hours, and when I got home, I found one charger was missing. I figured I must have left it somewhere, so I started working backwards: it wasn't in the car or in the luggage; I hadn't stopped on the way; and the guesthouse was only 50 meters from the car—it's unlikely I'd only lost a charger. So I called the landlady and politely asked if she had seen it while cleaning the room. The landlady first asked which room I wanted. I gave her my phone number and name, and told her which room on the second floor I was staying in (sorry, I don't remember the exact room number). But after checking, she definitely assumed I was staying on the third floor and didn't see my charger. I was really embarrassed; I was definitely staying on the second floor. How could she assume I was on the third floor after only three hours? Then she gave me a cleaning number and told me to go ask. I called again, and they said they didn't see anything on the third floor. I repeatedly emphasized that I was staying on the second floor, but it was no use."

"We stayed at this hotel in Danxia Geopark for three nights, and we absolutely loved it! The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the receptionist who helped us with everything we needed. The room had all the necessary amenities and was very comfortable. The air conditioner was new and very quiet, making our stay even more pleasant. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning, and the hotel is very close to the park entrance, which was extremely convenient. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back!"

"We took the train north from Hong Kong and checked into this tranquil guesthouse. The owner and the lady who runs the nearby breakfast shop were incredibly welcoming. They taught us how to see Danxia Mountain in a ”cost-effective and effortless” way, allowing us to experience nature and local customs. They even gave us free tangerines and offered a 20% discount on dinner! The guesthouse was newly renovated, the rooms were clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet area, convenient for two people. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Danxia Mountain."

"The experience of staying in this time was particularly good. The environment of the homestay was quiet and comfortable, clean and elegant, and the rooms were clean and dry and livable. The store is warm and easy-going, and there is their restaurant opposite. The home-cooked ingredients are fresh, the taste is light and authentic, the food is delicious and hygienic, and there are discounts for accommodation and dining. "There are many guesthouses within the Danxia Mountain scenic area. I booked this one on short notice, thinking I could easily change if it didn't suit me, but I was extremely satisfied with my stay.
Firstly, the location is excellent. The room has a first-line view of the scenery, with the Jinjiang River flowing past the window and the ever-changing light over the Elder Peak scenic area in the distance – you can enjoy the view from your bed.
Also, it's not too close to the boat tours or the bridge, nor is it on the main road where people look for restaurants, so it avoids the noise. Parking is also easy.
The room was very clean, warmly decorated, and spacious.
The host was very welcoming and considerate. When I sat downstairs, they brought me tea, snacks, and fruit. They also meticulously planned hiking routes and recommended good restaurants nearby. In short, they were very helpful without being pressured, making the stay very comfortable.
The only drawback was a slight odor in the bathroom, but in the hot weather, opening the window for ventilation made it not a problem.
Overall, it's very cost-effective and highly recommended."

"A comfy, no frills Chinese inn managed by a husband and wife team. The lady owner was informative and helped me to plan the best routes to hike as well as enjoy the Danxia Mountains. She even assisted me to purchase a discounted ticket for the Danxia night cruise. Inn's location is located near the Danxia main gate as well as eateries. Perfect Chinese hospitality. Truly a home away from home.
TIP: Non locals including foreigners who flew into Guangdong province within the last 10 days and can show their air tickets at the ticket counter can get a free 2 day visit to the Danxia Mountains. Information is accurate as at January 2026."

Facilities: Fully equipped, and even includes disposable bath towels – very thoughtful.
Cleanliness: Clean and hygienic; the bedding is visibly clean, comfortable and reassuring.
Environment: Located in the second row of the guesthouse area, it's relatively quiet.
Service: Attentive service; the owner carefully plans sightseeing routes and, when possible, even drives you to the shuttle bus stop outside the scenic area gate to return to the high-speed rail station.
Because the guesthouse doesn't have a restaurant, the overall atmosphere is clean and tidy, making for a comfortable stay.

Guest UserThe river-view rooms offer direct views of Elder Peak, and there's a pier right outside. It's very close to the entrance of Yangyuan Mountain Scenic Area, a 10-minute walk to the viewing platform, or even faster by shuttle bus. The cable car entrance is a bit further, a 15-minute walk. The main gate of the scenic area is a 20-minute walk; you can take a taxi or wait for the free scenic area bus.

Guest UserI made a last-minute decision to go to Danxia Mountain and saw that I had booked Yunsu Hotel 8 years ago, but I hadn't called the owner to make a reservation beforehand. The owner told us to stay at Firefly Hotel instead. Back then, Firefly Hotel had just opened, and the walls and room facilities were relatively new, so it was alright. 8 years later, when I booked Firefly again, it was much older and more worn out. Water was constantly dripping from the air conditioner at the door, and the sheets seemed unwashed; they were quite itchy. The only redeeming quality was the price.

Anonymous UserThe host family are super nice, friendly and helpful. They were interested to talk with you and help you figure out your plans. Location is super convenient it’s just a 15 minute walk. Unfortunately, it’s outside of parking area and cannot park Hello bike in front of hotel, so you need to park back to the tourist entrance and walk back to the hotel.
They’re willing to upgrade my room and give me a bigger room.
There are two washing machine on rooftop and drying rack. 
A lot of uncles are sitting in the living room and smoking, so a lot of time you can smell the cigarettes

Guest UserThe location is perfect, you can enjoy the river view without leaving the house, and there are restaurants and shops just outside the door. You can walk to Yangyuan Mountain and Shuishui Danxia in 5 minutes. The weather has been bad these days, it rains every day, but I have gone to all the places I can go. When I return to the B&B, I can have a good rest, take a hot bath, watch TV, and go to the rooftop to relax. This is also the meaning of vacation. The boss is also very enthusiastic and entertained us warmly when we arrived late. It's a pity that we didn't go to Danxia on the Water this time because of the rain. I'll go there when the weather gets better.

The proprietress was very enthusiastic and provided attentive service. The room was clean and tidy. She personally took us to the town to buy local specialties, which were inexpensive and good quality. They were better and cheaper than the local specialties near the scenic area. I give it a thumbs up!

Guest UserThe rooms are clean and tidy, well-equipped, large in size, and very comfortable to live in. Not far from the gate of the scenic spot, convenient transportation and convenient parking. There are also many restaurants around. The boss is warm and friendly, and the service is a very warm boss. He told us the tourist route and precautions carefully. I also gave us sweet potatoes grown by myself, thank you very much! I will still live here later and recommend it to my relatives and friends.

There's a breakfast place (No. 9 Restaurant) just a one-minute walk from the hotel and at the street corner. The beef noodles and wontons are delicious, and most importantly, there are no flies! But avoid the IKEA restaurant – swarms of flies buzzing around and nobody seems to care. I ordered delivery, and I got diarrhea the next day.
