"This is a wonderful hotel to stay in at Baisha ancient town, about 20 minutes from the centre of Lijiang. The room was enormous and very clean with a view of the mountains. The host was very generous and friendly, we had tea every night after I’d been out exploring every day. He even drove me in his own car to catch the tour bus to Yulong Snow Mountain. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a quieter experience yet only a few minutes walk to Baisha ancient town."

"This was the most satisfying accommodation of our Yunnan trip! We chose this B&B because we were heading to the airport in the afternoon, so its proximity was perfect. We even had time to visit Lashihai Lake in the morning. It has a parking lot, breakfast, an elevator, laundry facilities, and a gym. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is delicious, there's a welcome fruit platter, and the air conditioning/heating works great. You can even see the snow-capped mountains from here. The bedding is comfortable, and they pay attention to the little details. The price was also very reasonable for this time of year."

"Great location, very close to the ancient town, within walking distance. You can see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the window, though it was a shame the clouds were too thick to see the 'golden mountain in the sun' (sunrise glow on the snow peak). The soundproofing is good; even though it's by the road, it's not noisy. Plus, they have private parking, which was a huge convenience for us self-drivers. The courtyard is also very comfortably decorated, and the breakfast was delicious."

"The environment is fantastic, with a charming, rustic wooden structure. The guesthouse courtyard is beautifully decorated with an artistic touch, and the room was very comfortable. There's also a very friendly and docile large dog on the premises! The service was excellent. I was in such a hurry when checking out that I forgot my power bank, but the owner contacted us and even mailed it back to us. It was a wonderful stay."

"The service was attentive: From the moment I checked in, I felt the warmth of the front desk. The staff was efficient and quick, and they even recommended nearby attractions and must-try restaurants. The hotel also provided a complimentary breakfast with a wide variety of options. The small pot of rice noodles was incredibly delicious, and I couldn't get enough of it for several days. The 24-hour room service was also excellent. If I needed anything, I just called and the staff were there to take care of it. It was incredibly thoughtful."

"This is the first time I've decided to write a review even before checking out.
”Good service earns recognition.” I truly feel this place embodies that saying.
First, my biggest and most immediate impression was feeling like I'd come home – warm and welcoming. As soon as we entered, the lobby was on a small platform, and the owner was incredibly enthusiastic about helping us with our luggage. We were also offered delicious floral tea. After spending time with my friend, I wanted to take some photos in the beautiful courtyard. The owner's family was relaxing on a nearby platform, chatting with us like old friends. It felt lively and very much like home. It didn't feel like staying at a hotel; it was more like visiting a friend's house, comfortable and pleasant. After we returned to our room, the owner even messaged us to ask if we wanted to go to the third floor to take pictures (because my friend and I are a bit introverted, the owner didn't ask us in person, perhaps fearing we'd be shy), and told us to let them know anytime if we did. While it's a very small detail, it really shows the owner's sincerity and warmth towards guests. And for introverts like us, this approach felt very comfortable and showed respect from the owner.
Next, I want to talk about hygiene, which everyone cares about – it was very clean and tidy! The room was very spacious, with simple yet elegant decor. The natural light and facilities were excellent. The large windows combined with the outdoor scenery made for great photos; you could easily get a good shot anytime. The bed was large and comfortable, with three different pillows, making it very cozy for watching movies. I just wanted to lie there forever, haha.
Finally, regarding transportation and daily conveniences like shopping. Transportation was very convenient; it was easy to get a taxi, and the location is very close to Baisha Ancient Town. As for shopping and ordering takeout, because it's near Baisha Ancient Town, convenience stores like Miniso and Meiyijia are not far, and takeout was quite fast. My friend and I both thought it was great.
When traveling, I often feel that things around tourist attractions are hard to avoid commercialization, and sometimes it's difficult to truly experience the local customs. However, my stay here didn't give me that feeling. On a sunny day, you can see the village bathed in sunlight below the snowy mountains. Walking on the stone path, it felt like I wasn't just passing through this sunlight, but truly enjoying the journey."

"The room was spacious and clean, equipped with a washing machine, air conditioning, and an electric blanket. It's incredibly close to Baisha Ancient Town and the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain scenic area. The owner was absolutely wonderful. During our stay, the weather was fantastic, so even late risers like myself could enjoy the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise' view right from the room. The rooftop offered an even more expansive view, which was very convenient.
Throughout our stay, the owner and their family were incredibly warm and thoughtful. They even reminded us to take our masks when going out due to the strong UV rays and packed us a bag full of bottled water and fruit, saving us from buying expensive items at the scenic spots. On the day we visited Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, they noticed we were returning late. Later, we heard the cable cars had stopped due to strong winds that afternoon. The owner, worried we might be stranded, called to check if we had made it back and asked if we needed a ride from the scenic area, showing genuine concern for our safety. Upon our return, when they heard we were experiencing altitude sickness, they even offered oxygen from their own home – truly amazing, so kind it just warms your heart. I promised them I would write a good review, and though it's a bit late, I haven't forgotten. This trip taught me that beyond the beautiful scenery, the people of Yunnan make the province even more charming. It was fun, comfortable, and I'll definitely be back!"

"This is the first time I've felt compelled to give a strong recommendation! Five stars! This hotel really nails the ambiance. The decor is simple yet beautiful, with great natural light and a stunning view from the window. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, and I found the room to be incredibly clean and cozy. The bed was super soft, and the soundproofing was excellent – perfect for two people. The owners, both the husband and wife, were exceptionally warm, gentle, and polite. When I wasn't feeling well, the owner even messaged me and brought breakfast to our room. They helped us with our luggage, carrying it up and down. Upon checkout, the owner drove us to the station, and the wife even gave us some fresh flower cakes. Their attention to detail was evident everywhere – the hot water was great, and the bathroom projector was a nice touch. All the rooms are spacious and well-equipped. It's also conveniently located near many attractions, and food delivery was a breeze. All my travel fatigue was completely cured here. I highly recommend it for your travels and sightseeing!"

JJade 玉洁Had the most wonderful time in this amazing cabin. If you want to take time off from the big city and be immersed in a beautiful local village, then you have to stay at Huan Yibi’s cabin.
The view is breathtaking and the area is quiet and immersed in nature. The room was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. On top of that, the hosts were amazing: not only kind but also available to help. We could join them on a little trip up the mountain to pick up mushrooms and later on we all made Chinese dumplings together.
Being foreigners in China, we felt very welcome and happy during our whole stay. In addition, the food was very delicious: it felt like a real experience of a local family life, we loved it.
We hope to have the chance to return one day and re-do this experience again!

GGuest UserNewly opened in October, you can see the sunrise over Jinshan Mountain right outside. A little further up, there's the Sangu Maolu Observation Deck, which is also beautiful for taking photos.
The ancient town is only about 200 to 300 meters away. It was very quiet at night and I slept soundly. The room was well-equipped with good amenities, and the bathrobes were super comfortable. The owner explained that all the water used in the hotel comes from a well over 60 meters underground, meeting first-class drinking standards. Overall, it's clear they've put a lot of thought into every aspect. The staff have also become more friendly, and the locals are warm and welcoming. The service was excellent. They even gave me a bag of local snacks and an oxygen tank before I left.

RRenee C.I had a truly wonderful stay at Mushan Homestay and would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Lijiang.
The homestay is run by a lovely Naxi couple, and you can really feel the warmth and care they put into this place. The room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. From my room, I could even see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which made mornings and sunsets extra special.
I slept extremely well here — the bed is very comfortable, and the whole place made me feel at home. Every morning, the owners prepared breakfast for us, and I honestly looked forward to it every day. The food was simple but delicious, especially their pickled vegetables (榨菜) and flatbread (饼) — hands down one of the best things I ate in Yunnan.
They also have three adorable dogs, and their son is absolutely adorable 🥰. During my stay, I enjoyed playing with them and taking short walks — it’s only about 3 minutes to Baisha Ancient Town.
Mushan is located on the quieter side of Baisha Ancient Town, which I really appreciated. The road leading to the town is cleaner and less sandy. I previously stayed on another side of Baisha where there was construction, making walking less pleasant — Mushan was a much better experience.
I spent over a week in Lijiang trying different 民宿, and without a doubt, Mushan is the homestay I would return to. It offers excellent value for money and a truly warm, home-like atmosphere.
If you prefer a cozy, welcoming, and peaceful place to stay, I highly recommend Mushan Homestay.

CCheeboonQuiet and clean homestay. Surrounded by nature and right under the famous yulong mountain. And the horse riding experience in the town is great.. love this place because it is less touristy compared to other ancient towns. We enjoyed the breakfast very much and also the host is very approachable. Highly recommend and we will definitely come back again!

Ssouvenir777We drove along the Tiger Leaping Gorge all the way to Daju Township. We turned the wrong way on a small road in the fields and accidentally fell into a ditch. Thanks to the help of the owner, we were able to get the car out. The owner and his wife saw that I was alone and invited me to have dinner with them. The food was very homely and delicious. The environment of the B&B is very good. There is a large field of sunflowers in front of the door🌻, a large swimming pool in the yard, and you can sit and watch the snow-capped mountains. It is really a place to relax and unwind. Sitting quietly and watching the scenery will make you feel better. The only thing is that the water pressure and temperature of the shower in the room are not enough, and the drainage is not very good. I hope it can be improved.

Mmomoh123This was my second stay, and the new courtyard facilities are incredibly new. The shower was so comfortable I felt like I could take two a day! The hygiene was excellent and very pleasant. The courtyard itself is quite unique. The owner is very warm and chatty, and the service is fantastic. I didn't plan on writing a review, so I didn't take photos of the environment, just some shots of the courtyard view. Pictures four, five, and six are from the courtyard I stayed in when I visited in February.

YYuslaini AzmiStay less than 24 hours there so my experience must not enough to describe fully the service. When I was arrive there the receptionist seems close already, I try contact via Trip.com but it linked to phone hotel which its difficult for me to call the owner as mostly thehy can't speak in English. I hope the owner makes initiative to answer guest that booking via third party like Agoda or Trip.com so it will be easier for me.
The room I book not provided aircond and no showercap or basic toiletries given, usually hoteel.provide like tooth brush, tooth paste but nothing was there maybe they forgot to replenish I don't know as I also check in late around 9pm. Overall , its a strategic locstion for those who want to catch up train early morning because the hotel location just like 400m away from Ljiang railway station (high speed train)

IIgnatius SimMy 3 nights stay here has been nothing but amazing. The location is a short 5mins walk away from Baisha Old Town. There are lots of food and shops to visit around that area and it's not really crowded with tourists as compared to Lijiang Old Town.
This accommodation is very quiet and peaceful. The view from my room was fantastic - old rustic traditional buildings sit in front of a gorgeous mountain view. At night, if the skies are clear, you could take a stroll out of the hotel and you'll find the skies fully decorated with stars. Day or night, I am blessed with lovely sceneries.
The staff that handled my stay was really nice and always greeted me with smiles. The check-in process is fuss free and I could always communicate with the staff here through WeChat App.
As a backpacker, laundry is very important. There is a shared washing machine. Perfect for me who needs to have my laundry done regularly.
Definitely a recommended place to stay if you're looking for a room away from the city crowds, with nice atmosphere/views and near Baisha Old Town.

We enjoy the famous local speciality - rose bun by ManTou Shiren and XiaoLongBao and GuanTangBao nearby.
This hostel is located at BaiSha Ancient Town which have a perfect scenery view for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
But too bad there is bad weather when we arrive there so we couldnot have a clear view but we do enjoy the stay there.
But outside the room is open living area with many trees and we found out small insect appear in our room that cause us very scary and could not sleep well but the PIC did come to help and take off the insect after non-stop several calls at 10.30pm 😬
The photos with animal is in HuTuWo which is walkable 15 mins from this hostel.
