"I originally booked this hotel for 3 nights but it was such an amazing stay that I made a new reservation for 2 additional nights. The staff are very welcoming and kind. The rooms are very comfortable with a strong air conditioning which was most welcoming after being outside in the sweltering heat. The location is just perfect - right around the corner is Pub Street and several restaurants/super markets. There's a market nearby that has free cultural performances at night. The drive to Angkor Wat was only 15 minutes by tuk-tuk. The hotel is in a quiet location despite Pub Street being around the corner. And I'm very grateful for how quickly the hotel got my laundry done - and such a great deal. I highly recommend this hotel!"

In the evenings, travelers gather and chat, creating a great opportunity for solo travelers to socialize. The noise level is moderate; it's fun but not overly party-focused. Rooms and Cleanliness: - Dorm rooms are spacious, beds are separated by curtains, and each bed has a personal power outlet and light. - Lockers are provided for security, which is sufficient. - Shared bathrooms are regularly cleaned, and hot water is available. - Both air conditioning and fans are available; AC rooms are more comfortable during the hot season. Services: - The reception is open 24 hours, the staff are friendly and helpful with tour bookings. - Free Wi-Fi is strong in common areas but can sometimes be weak in the rooms. - Bicycle and scooter rentals are available. - Affordable breakfast and drink options are offered. "I stayed at Mad Monkey Siem Reap and honestly had a really fun experience. The vibe is super social and it’s very easy to meet new people, especially if you’re traveling solo. There are daily events, a pool area, and a bar where everyone hangs out, so it never feels boring. The location is great — just a short walk to Pub Street and the night market, which makes it really convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they made the atmosphere even better. The rooms were decent and clean for a backpacker hostel. It can get a little loud at night because it’s a social place, but that’s kind of expected. If you want to party, meet people, and enjoy Siem Reap, this is a good choice. If you’re looking for something super quiet and private, maybe not. Overall, I’d recommend it for solo travelers and anyone who wants a fun hostel experience in Siem Reap. ⭐️ 8.5/10"

"You get what you pay for. The hot water needs a trick to switch on which they won't automatically teach. Ask when you check in. The whole place is very strange, with the inner courtyard being currently used as a parking spot for scooters, when it was clearly designed to be a more social space. Old mattress and noisy street. Won't stay again."

"Best place to stay if visiting Siem Reap. Run by the nicest Cambodian family, they go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. Great location, many nice places withing walking distance i.e riverside, restaurants, markets. Rooms were clean, a good size and lots of natural light. Nice outside areas and pool, for taking a dip on the hot days. All staff were great, can speak English well and can help you with any questions you may have. Will stay again, next time I visit SR"
