"I spent three nights at this hotel located not far from the entrance to Seorak National Park. So let's start at the beginning by stating that this was one of the main criteria that guided my choice and helped me narrow down the wide range of hotels in Sokcho. I wanted to be within easy reach of the reserve since I'm a hiking enthusiast. A word of advice, though: take a taxi, which will likely drop you off below the parking area. This way, you'll be sure to arrive well warmed up before your trekking session. But I'm getting further away from the hotel... A second element, logically related to the above, if, like me, you were looking for a quiet and peaceful place to rest after your workout, you've found it. A true haven of peace... perfect for a good night's sleep, except in exceptional circumstances, since the first night I had a serious snorer, and since the walls aren't very thick... I won't draw you a picture. Breakfast is available by informing reception the night before. For the price, don't miss out. Room cleaning is also available, just request it in the lobby. The rooms are remarkably clean, although not very spacious. But the hotel offers almost all the usual amenities one would expect in addition to the room amenities: toiletries, free 5G internet access, bottled water, French coffee pods (be careful, there's a catch) and green tea... Unfortunately, when it came time to extend my stay by one night to rest in the dry - the weather is very bad in Korea right now - reservations were fully booked due to Chuseok - Korean Thanksgiving - a major family reunion event where ancestors are honored... needless to say, this is also the most difficult time to find accommodation and, of course, the most expensive for us as guests. Prices easily double. Keep this in mind if you come to Korea, and especially if possible, book in advance during the fall holidays. Unfortunately, shortly after booking elsewhere, a room became available... And where I landed, I quickly found myself in a completely different world, with a clientele and atmosphere that were the opposite of what I had so enjoyed at the Amaranth Hotel. So British in a very nice way...isn't it?"

"It's a bit small, and the sliding door for the bathroom is a minor inconvenience, but other than that, there's nothing really uncomfortable about it. First off, the bed and pillows are great, and the bed type is firm. My back isn't good, so whenever I travel, I usually suffer from back and neck pain and can't sleep, but wow, I slept so well without any pain at all! The pillows were incredibly soft and fluffy; my boyfriend even said he wished he knew the brand. Anyway, that's how it is. And the ocean view is absolutely amazing! I'm thinking of coming back again when I travel solo next time."

"Only issue was faint odor of cigarettes- 3rd hand smoke. Room did have vent fan over the bed.. I've never seen that before. It did seem to help. ”Non-smoking room”. Other than that, the bathroom was enormous and brand new. Bed was comfortable. Room was extremely romantic motif. Staff is extremely friendly. A/C worked good. Potable water dispenser in lobby. Decent location. Without the slight cigarette odor it is a great place."

"The check in was easy and all done online and contactless. I didn’t even need to speak to any staff on the ground floor and they did not ask or look at all so it was easy as it’s in the same building as Mira Vista hotel. The location is Perfect and close to the shops in front, many choices nearby. Close to the bus station which is perfect for commute into and out of. Close to the beach and bus stops also. The accomodation was so so clean, looks so brand new. Mirrors, furnishings all spotless, the shampoo, body wash, hand wash all smell nice which is great and tbe I think for Korea. Plenty of towels, bath mat. Great view and balcony, however I wouldn’t say it Ocean view, more like bay view. Bed was soft and comfy. Smart toilet and bidet, they had table and chairs on the balcony, massive smart LG TV to watch YouTube etc, double glsss balcony doors so it was super quiet. Ac worked while you’re out so you can come back in an ac cooled room. Everything you need is inside, filtered water dispenser, coffee machine and pods, microwave downstairs. Even the elevators weren’t busy and easy to go up and down anytime. However it didn’t have a laundry but still fine. I didn’t get room cleaned but it’s still fine for me also. The only thing is with the power sockets, it’s all in a deep circular socket. Which you need to keep in mind may not fit. I wish they provided maybe an external multi adapter which would’ve helped a lot with charging. I had to buy an adapter just for the room charging. Overall my impression is that the room was so clean and well thought off. I would easily come back again if the price is reasonable."

"I have stayed here before to hike Seoraksan. This time, I had a nicer room; however, because it is near the mountains and older, there was a huge house centipede on the ceiling when I got there. Luckily, the bug spray they had worked on it. Other than that, there were some small stains on the bedding, but everything else was clean. The bed was comfortable, and the location is about 55 minutes walking distance from Seoraksan National Park. It's only about an 8 minute taxi drive there if not too much traffic. There is a beautiful river/stream nearby. This place is also only about a 16 minute drive from the Sokcho Express Bus Terminal. Obviously, I like this place enough to stay again. Breakfast was toast, cereal, and you could make eggs/a toast sandwich I believe."

"It's about a 15-minute walk from the city bus stop, and you can walk to the market and Abai Village easily. The bus stop for Seoraksan Mountain is also just a 5-minute walk away, so the location is pretty good! The rooftop common area is open until 10:00 PM, and it's lovely to buy some drinks and snacks and relax up there. In the morning, they offer a simple breakfast like bread and cereal. The room is spacious and clean, and it offers great value for money. Highly recommended!"

"We really enjoyed staying in this hostel !! A spacious room, comfortable beds, comfortable shower ! ! They provided 3 towels per person, toothbrushes, even a urine. The polite staff, James speaks English excellently - gave us a tourist map and told us what places to visit in Sokcho. Near a bus stop, on which you can take buses to Soraxana. For breakfast in the hostel there are coffee, tea, bread and toasters, milk, chips. We came only for 1 night but were able to take a great rest and if we still come to Sokcho, we will definitely stop at James again !! Thank you for a great rest"

"The room was a bit smelly of cigarettes yes because I am a non smoking person a little disturbed by the smell of cigarettes I stayed two days but my room was not cleaned the garbage was not taken and even the towels were not changed it should be improved It's like that again if you stay more than a night, it should be cleaned and the towels are changed and replaced new ones so that guests are more comfortable"

"My wife and I have traveled extensively, but we found a place where we had absolutely no complaints regarding cleanliness, service, price, or parking. I feel 1000% willing to visit again and again, so I decided to leave this review hoping that many people will choose this accommodation for a pleasant stay during their trip to Sokcho. I plan to revisit with other family members in the future. [Cleanliness] It is the best. There was absolutely no chemical smell typical of accommodations, and the towels were not damp at all. The floor inside the room was not carpeted, so it was clean and pleasant with no embedded dust. I couldn't find any dust accumulation even in the nooks and crannies. The bathroom is also spacious and clean. [Parking] There is a parking tower in the building, as well as a dedicated parking lot within a 1-2 minute walk, so we experienced absolutely no inconvenience during our stay. [Location] It is within walking distance of Sokcho Central Market, and if you prefer not to walk, taking a bus is also not difficult. [Service and Convenience] They were incredibly kind and greeted me with a bright smile every time I came and went. Thanks to that smile, every moment we shared was filled with a shared smile, making my trip truly enriching. On the 3rd floor of the building, I was able to enjoy a simple breakfast of cereal, hard-boiled eggs, and toast, and the cafe latte was delicious. Guests also receive a discount on cafe drinks. Additionally, having a GS25 convenience store right in front of the accommodation was also very convenient."

"I had to travel for business and unfortunately made a double booking by mistake. I understood that the reservation was non-refundable, but instead of a simple cancellation, I provided proof of my stay and requested cancellation of the duplicate booking through the call center and the app. However, it was not canceled, and I ended up paying twice. While I fully understand the non-refundable policy for simple cancellations, I believe there should be an internal discussion to consider exceptions for accidental double bookings where a stay is confirmed. This incident has made me reconsider my previously positive impression of Trip.com."
