"Dali Qixiang Seaview Hotel is fantastic! The sea view is absolutely stunning, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a gorgeous view of Erhai Lake. A park is right outside, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. It's also close to the city center. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. The service was warm and attentive, and the location is convenient, close to a food street and Xingsheng Bridge. Great value for money, highly recommended! They even gave a small toy as a welcome gift for the kids."

"The inn's location is excellent. Taxis can drop you off right at the entrance, and it's a short 10-minute walk to the South Gate of the Ancient City. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, and right across the street is the South Gate wet market, making it convenient for buying fruit. Although the inn is close to the road, the soundproofing is good. It also has a washing machine, which is handy for drying clothes. We stayed for three days, and the overall facilities were great. The room was clean and had no strange odors. We booked a suite, which is perfect for families or friends traveling together. Highly recommended!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B in Dali Ancient City. The location was perfect for us — tucked away in a peaceful corner near Dali Ancient City, yet only a short walk to the shops, cafés, and attractions. What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping us with our luggage, preparing breakfast every morning, and always making sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the rice noodles, which we looked forward to each morning. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful courtyard and the overall peaceful atmosphere. A couple of things to note for families and travellers with larger luggage. The beautiful courtyard has a koi pond running through parts of it, which adds to the charm, but I was constantly keeping an eye on my kids as I was worried they might accidentally fall in. Thankfully, nothing happened, but it’s something parents with young children may want to be aware of. Another consideration is luggage. Vehicles can stop near the property, but you’ll still need to carry your luggage across parts of the courtyard. If you’re staying on Levels 2 or 3, there is no lift, so luggage has to be carried up manually. The owner was kind enough to help us, but it’s still worth considering if you’re travelling with multiple large suitcases. For our family room, one small downside was that although the room was very spacious, there was only one air-conditioner serving the entire unit. The smaller bedroom felt a little stuffy and warm at night. That said, the owner was very responsive and quickly provided us with a fan the next day, which made a huge difference and solved the issue for us. Overall, the warmth of the host, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and peaceful setting far outweighed these minor inconveniences. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy and authentic stay in Dali. ❤️🏔️✨"

Facilities: Well-equipped, the host even provided daily replenished disposable toiletries, a powerful hairdryer, and a wet/dry bathroom setup. Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy. The cleaning staff cleaned daily, and the room was odor-free. Service: The butler service was attentive and responsive. Public areas were elegant and clean with pleasant diffusers, and there was a self-service area for water and amenities."

"I found a truly satisfying guesthouse in Dali, and the overall experience was excellent 👍. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the care put into it. The environment was very clean and tidy, and the room decor was minimalist with a touch of wood design, which made for great photos; the coffee table was particularly photogenic. The bed was also very comfortable, and I slept really well. The guesthouse service was also great, and the owner was very enthusiastic. The location is also very convenient, not far from the ancient city and coffee shops, so you basically don't have to worry about getting around. Highly recommended!"

"Facilities: The Xiaodu smart butler is a godsend for the lazy – just use your voice to open curtains, turn on lights, and adjust the AC. The hygiene is also excellent. Ambiance: The lobby and courtyard are beautiful and perfect for photos. The rooftop scenic area offers stunning views of Cangshan mountain. Service: 100 points! You can reach the hotel directly via Didi or by bus. We opted for the bus and got off at the Erhai Lake环海巴士 stop. The hotel even provides an electric shuttle service. During our stay, there was complimentary coffee and tea, and before we left, the front desk kindly reminded us about the strong UV rays and to remember our sunscreen! I'm writing this review specifically on my way home because this place exceeded my expectations. We arrived at the hotel after 11 PM, and the front desk lady helped us with our luggage. The room was spacious and clean, with smart home features throughout, and they even provided complimentary fruit and snacks – it completely cured our exhaustion from a day of travel. Plus, it was incredibly quiet at night; we didn't hear a single noise. If I ever come back to Dali, I will definitely book this guesthouse again!!!"

The bedding is incredibly soft and comfortable, making for a truly peaceful stay. The surroundings are quiet, perfect for relaxing, and all the essential amenities are provided. The host is incredibly thoughtful, paying attention to every detail, which made for a perfect experience. I've already saved this place and will definitely be back!"
