"Staying one night at Feilai Temple, choosing Meili Wangshi was absolutely the right decision. Upon arrival, the front desk lady warmly helped us with our luggage and gave us an A4 printout of the parking lot location. She also enthusiastically recommended bookstores and viewing spots we wanted to visit! Photo 1 shows the snacks and mineral water available for guests on the third-floor public area, feel free to take what you need (bottled water is already provided in the room, of course). Photo 2 is a picture of the room taken from the doorway, where you can see the snow-capped mountains through the window. Photo 5 is the telescope, a great tool for viewing the snow mountains. Photo 6 is the Feilai Temple viewing platform, taken from the balcony – essentially, staying at Meili Wangshi is like staying right on the viewing platform. Photo 9 shows the AED outside the hotel, which is one of the few AEDs available in public areas of Diqing Prefecture. Photo 10 shows the breakfast; you can always ask for more if needed, but we found the portion size to be just right! Watching the sunrise over Meili Snow Mountain from your room's balcony or the rooftop terrace offers excellent views!"

Disposable towels, toilet seat covers, and slippers were all provided. The shower had a warm air blower, and the underfloor heating and hot water were great. Plus, the location is right opposite the bus stop. It was an experience that exceeded our expectations!"

It's worth noting that the room's diffused oxygen supply wasn't very effective, so it might not be enough for those sensitive to altitude sickness; you'd still need your own oxygen tank. "We were incredibly lucky to witness the 'Rizhao Jinshan' phenomenon (golden mountain bathed in sunlight)! The hotel's views are absolutely stunning (just ignore that big crane, haha). You get an unobstructed panorama of all thirteen Meili Snow Mountains. The owner was super enthusiastic; as soon as we arrived, he warmly explained the best ways to view the mountains. After showing us to our room, he even turned on the humidifier, oxygen machine, and floor heating for us. The hotel is very clean, and in the morning, you don't even need to go down to the observation deck; you can simply watch the snow-capped peaks from your balcony. The hotel thoughtfully provided large, thick blankets, which was a very nice touch."

"This manor B&B is worthy of its name. The yard is huge, and all kinds of fruit trees are full of fruits. The key is that you can pick whatever you want to eat [grin]. There are streams in the manor and wooden boardwalks on the lake, which are perfect for tea tasting and daydreaming [strong]. The boss and his wife are very simple and enthusiastic [fist hug]. "After a 6-hour trek into Yubeng, just when my legs were about to give out, I found the hotel right near the village entrance, saving me from having to walk further in. What a lifesaver!
The front desk staff was incredibly attentive during check-in, emphasizing safety concerns. A week before my arrival, they even messaged me via WeChat with itinerary details and various tips. They also checked on my progress when I was delayed getting into the village.
Figure 1 shows a cozy corner in the common area, where I sat with the feline 'manager' lounging opposite me. The fresh alpine azaleas arranged daily are a delightful touch, really showing the hotel's thoughtfulness!
I was very happy with the rooms as well. Figures 2 and 3 show the two room types I stayed in. The decor is charmingly antique, with wooden furniture and accents that give it an authentic old-house feel, rather than a generic, cookie-cutter look. It felt very comfortable and relaxing. The underfloor heating was exceptionally warm, and the pillows were incredibly comfortable.
Figure 4 shows the snow-capped mountains directly visible from my room window, as well as the iconic Yubeng scenery captured from the entrance. Simply stunning!"

"We arrived in the evening and had dinner in the guesthouse's restaurant. The owner treated us to a delicious local wine. Our room offered a direct view of the snow-capped mountains, unlike the view at Feilai Temple, where the peaks were much closer. The next day, at sunrise, we could watch the sun set over the Golden Mountain from our room. There's also a viewing platform on the first floor, offering unobstructed views of the stars and the snow-capped mountains. The owner warmly invited us to dinner at her sister's home. The cooking was excellent and delicious! It also allowed us to experience ******* culture. The owner's daughter was adorable, not shy at all, and constantly entertained us. It snowed heavily the day we left, but thanks to the owner's guidance on a safe route, we arrived safely in Shangri-La. If I ever visit Meili Snow Mountain again, I'll definitely stay at this hotel."

"Cleanliness: Still very neat and clean.
Environment: The guesthouse is located at the very top of the eastern side of Upper Yubeng. If you don't want to commute by pickup truck or climb the 'Despair Slope', I recommend taking the shortcut directly to Upper Yubeng after the second supply point. The scenery is excellent. The guesthouse has a fantastic view, offering panoramic vistas of three snow-capped mountains. The decor is ******* style, leaning towards minimalist.
Service: The ladies working here were incredibly responsive to all our requests. Upon check-in, we received custom medals and a supply kit. In the evenings, there was ginger tea, fruit, and late-night snacks. After three days of exhausting hikes, returning to the guesthouse, sitting by the fire, drinking ginger tea, and petting the cats brought immense happiness. I highly recommend their milk tea and coffee; their beauty is the least impressive thing about them – they're just that delicious.
Facilities: The hot water temperature was a bit tricky to adjust. As someone sensitive to heat, the water felt too hot after a while.
Lastly, the guesthouse also provides disposable towels and bath towels, so my quick-dry towel went completely unused. Guests might consider this to lighten their backpacks."

"After a long search across various platforms, I finally settled on this hotel, and I was absolutely stunned the moment I opened the room door. The 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows offered a direct view of the snow-capped mountains. The room was clean, tidy, and I absolutely loved the decor. I could easily spend half a day just lounging on the sofa, gazing at the snowy peaks. Right outside the room was a huge platform, and since no other guests came during our two-day stay, we had it all to ourselves. Oh, and the hotel's beef over rice was incredible! Big, generous chunks of beef completely covered the rice. One bowl was enough to make me feel completely satisfied. Paired with a 'Pang Zhuoma' beer, it was the perfect moment."

I'm so glad I booked a room with a snow view at this hotel. It was a very cost-effective choice for a solo traveler. When it's time to enjoy life, you should go for it; you only live once. Let this brief freedom be a seasoning for an ordinary life, giving yourself the courage for a better one.
The hotel service was excellent; everyone was very attentive to me since I was traveling alone, and they even gave me a small ornament when I left. The room was spacious and elegant, very comfortable to stay in. The diffused oxygen supply also worked well, although I tend to get nervous easily and still went to the hospital to breathe some oxygen for a while. Actually, there's no need to be too afraid of altitude sickness; most symptoms can be relieved at the hospital. Most importantly, the hotel's 5th-floor observation deck is fantastic. You don't need to crowd with people at the Wunongding viewpoint. I left my camera at the hotel to shoot a time-lapse and went to take some portraits. Plus, watching the starry sky and waiting for the sunrise with friends from all corners of the world at the hotel was truly a romantic experience.
Finally, regarding the mountain views, this was a completely successful trip. From sunset to high noon, I was honored to witness the diverse charm of Meili Snow Mountain. On the first evening, as the vehicle drove out of National Highway 214, I caught sight of the thirteen peaks of Meili. Clouds drifted slowly, and the sun gradually set. Soon after, the Milky Way hung low above Mt. Miancimu, and Comet Lemmon descended towards Mt. Bawu Bameng, creating a starry night. Under the stars, the Winter Triangle appeared even more captivating, adorned with the Taurus meteor shower, making the night sky seem like a dream. As night deepened and the moon rose, the crescent moon stubbornly illuminated the snow-capped mountains, casting a faint pearly white glow. Until dawn, the sky transformed from blue to pink, heralding the arrival of a new day. At daybreak, the first ray of sunlight illuminated the peak of Kawagarbo, and the legendary 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' passionately displayed Meili's grandeur. Once the golden light covered all thirteen peaks, the contours of the snow mountain were clearly outlined, and the most beautiful snow mountain finally revealed its perfect form. The mountain doesn't speak, but people have wishes; Meili just stands quietly, inspiring endless imagination. After the crowds receded, the snow mountain returned to its pristine white, and strolling through Wunongding, watching the mountains, listening to the wind, and playing with cats, offered another kind of pleasure.
People say that seeing the 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' brings good luck for the whole year. A year is too long; I only know that at this moment, I have captured the happiness of life.

The guesthouse is a reconstruction of the owner's original home, and I was immediately struck by its beauty upon entering: the Western-style staircase paired with ******* paintings was exquisite and beautiful! The rooms were even more beautiful and comfortable than the pictures showed, mainly due to the attention to detail, including the tea corner, the automatic sensor lights in the bathroom, and the copper sink. This guesthouse offers excellent value for money, comparable to well-known hotels costing nearly a thousand yuan. It's truly a hidden gem.
The guesthouse's large terrace is just a short distance above a bend in the Jinsha River, offering stunning views! I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Yunnan and Tibet!

GGuest UserStaying at Tianjing Yunye in Meili Snow Mountain was an amazing experience! ✨ The room was clean and had great views. I was suffering from altitude sickness, and the owner even gave me an oxygen tank when I checked out – so thoughtful! Five-star recommendation! It's pet-friendly and very close to the Feilai Temple viewpoint, just a 10-minute walk. The owner is very warm-hearted. The highland barley pancake for breakfast was delicious. There's a viewing balcony, but you can't see the 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' from there; you have to go to the viewpoint for that. Be sure to try the roasted yak skewers by the road near the snow mountain, they're really good!

GGuest UserRight after I booked the hotel, the owner proactively called to ask about our arrival time and how we'd be getting there. When they found out we were driving, they gave us precise parking instructions. Once we parked, the owner even had two young boys help us with our luggage, which was very thoughtful. Upon arriving at the hotel, seeing we had children with us, they kindly upgraded us to a room with a view, free of charge. The hotel facilities are incredibly comprehensive. The room's heating system is excellent; not only is there floor heating, but electric blankets are also provided on the bed – a real lifesaver for those who get cold easily! The disposable bath towels are a fantastic detail, especially for germaphobes like me. The hotel is spotlessly clean; even a germaphobe couldn't find fault with it. The service was also excellent and very patient.

Small points of improvement are 1) cleaning the windows as these are very verydirty 2) provide coffee as provided on picture 4, this coffee machine is not present in the B&B and there is also no decent alternative 3) be aware that it is a wooden structured building which is pretty but not so sound proof. We did not have a great rest during the second night 4) water from the shower takes 10 minutes to get warm.

Opening the window revealed a stunning view of snow-capped mountains and a sea of clouds – the romantic snowy scenery was just breathtaking. As soon as I opened the door, I was stunned by the panoramic floor-to-ceiling window – Kavagarbo Peak was right there, completely unobstructed. In the morning, I didn't even have to brave the cold to go outside; I could just lie in bed and wait for the miracle of the 'sunlit golden mountain'.
