"## Facilities: 1. **Outdated and Poorly Designed**: The facilities are quite old, and the design is impractical. For example, the shower and toilet are in the same area within the bathroom, with no separation. This means if someone is using the toilet, no one can shower, and vice-versa. 2. **Misleading Advertising**: Figures 1 and 2 in the hotel's promotional images, which are crucial for customers before booking, are completely different from what you see upon entering the room (as shown in the last three pictures). I'd like to ask the hotel management: where is the bathtub from your promotional photos? It's turned into a concrete basin, and it's incredibly dirty inside. There was no prior notification upon check-in – it's a complete mismatch from what was advertised. 3. **Hazardous Staircase**: The stairs in the room are extremely steep. You have to be very careful going up, and when going down, you *must* descend backward as per the hotel's instructions, because it's impossible to go down facing forward without falling. 4. **No Internal Elevator**: The hotel doesn't have its own internal elevator, and the staircases within the hotel are also very steep, making it genuinely difficult to carry luggage upstairs. ## Hygiene: The overall hygiene in the room is acceptable. The wooden floor on the second level is clean, but that dirty carpet really shouldn't be there. ## Environment: The hotel has been converted from a two-story commercial building. It's not noisy at night and is conveniently located within walking distance of the ancient city's snack street, Nanqiao Bridge, and the subway station. ## Service: Service is just okay. After checking in, they provide some guide articles about nearby attractions and restaurants, but that's about it."

"What a fantastic experience! This hidden gem of a guesthouse, tucked away by the river, truly exceeded all expectations. The room decor was tastefully gentle with its own unique style, and the color scheme was incredibly soothing. The bedding was soft and clean, and the cleaning staff did a very thorough job. The private viewing balcony faces directly onto the flowing river – just imagine setting out some snacks and tea, watching the gentle current, and gazing at the 'blue tears' phenomenon; the ambiance was truly magical! The room also came equipped with a projector, and the washroom area was cleverly designed and spotlessly clean, with great attention to detail. The riverside wooden deck dining area is surrounded by lush greenery, creating a wonderfully comfortable, verdant setting. 👍 The on-site food was amazing! The fresh-cut beef, shrimp, and mushroom hotpot ingredients were all incredibly fresh – we even saw them being delivered. And this unique purple peach ginger appetizer was beautifully presented and tasted authentic. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, and very kind. The food was delicious, without any artificial flavors or spices. You can enjoy both dining and accommodation all in one place, offering incredible value for money. I've already saved it and will definitely recommend it to friends and family."

"The B&B is in a fantastic location, right on West Street Old Town. I contacted them in advance, parked my car at a nearby lot, and the housekeeper came to pick up my luggage and walk me to the B&B. The pick-up and drop-off service was prompt and very enthusiastic. The rooms on the riverside had a bit of a loud white noise from the water, and the soundproofing wasn't great. When I mentioned it to the housekeeper the next day, they proactively moved us to a room not facing the river, which was much quieter. They also have their own dining and tea service, and the food was delicious. From the B&B's platform, you can overlook Baopingkou without even leaving. And stepping out, you're right on West Street, which is quite unique. It's also conveniently located near Dujiangyan's Gate 2 entrance. Highly recommended!"

"The room was great! Downstairs is the Guankou Ancient City pedestrian street, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. There's also a small garden on the fourth floor, full of cosmos flowers. The hostess provided excellent and enthusiastic service. Overall, my friend and I had a fantastic stay."

"I had a wonderful stay at Starway Hotel Dujiangyan and would happily stay here again. The location was excellent. It was within easy walking distance of Guanxian Ancient Town, the South Bridge (Nanqiao), the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, and the lively streets filled with local restaurants, cafés, and shops. There were also convenience stores nearby, making it a perfect base for exploring Dujiangyan on foot. The ladies at the front desk were exceptional. Although we didn’t speak the same language, they were incredibly patient and friendly, using a translation app to communicate with me and always making sure I had everything I needed. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. After spending the day sightseeing in the summer heat, it was such a relief to return to a room with excellent air conditioning that kept it nice and cool. Unfortunately, I had to leave early and missed breakfast, but the staff kindly offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast for me, which was a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. They also looked after my luggage for the entire day after I checked out, allowing me to enjoy more sightseeing before my train without having to carry my bags. The genuine kindness and hospitality of the staff made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Starway Hotel Dujiangyan to anyone visiting this beautiful city."

"The location is excellent, especially waking up to a view of lush greenery from bed. I have to particularly highlight their Chinese food, which was delicious. We ate three dinners in the ancient town. Our first was here. For our second, my husband insisted on trying a highly-rated place he found online, but... not a single dish was good. So, for our third dinner, we came back here. We had the cured meat platter three times, it was especially good here, and the 'fish擺擺' (a local fish dish) was also tasty. We just didn't get around to trying the hot pot, so we'll have to come back for that next time. **Facilities:** Pretty good, with smart toilets and a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. **Hygiene:** Considered quite good for a guesthouse. **Environment:** The location is superb, and the atmosphere both upstairs and downstairs is great. Kids can play in the small river, and if adults don't want to be in the sun, they can have tea at the bar on the ground floor. Sitting at the bar in the evening is very pleasant, and the prices are reasonable. **Service:** Excellent! The owner contacted us in advance. When we arrived, someone specially helped park our car, and when it was time to leave, we just let them know and they brought the car back out. It's perfect for lazy people, haha, no need to walk far for parking or be out in the sun."

"We could not believe the serenity, efficiency, cleanliness and utter ‘Zen’ of this wonderful home stay/hotel.  The hotel is located right on the end of the Dujiangyan Scenic Area. Easy access to all of the shops, parks, food stalls, restaurants and everything else. And still, so quiet for us at night.  We were given a room with the biggest tennis court size bed. And, the mattress quality was just something else. Large en-suite and a smart toilet.   The reception staff were always available personally or via WeChat. And they served us tea ceremonially during the daytime/evening when we requested it.   The mezzanine seating area overlooking the street outside was separated from the inside area with glass, preserving the spatial woodland-like interior design.   Did we mention the breakfast? We always had the red broth noodles served with fresh orange, spicy bamboo, a meat dumpling, and boiled egg. Choice of gorgeous tea or coffee etc. What a treat.   I suppose the question is, if you were going back to Dujiangyan, would you stay there again?  Answer: Absolutely."

"Facilities: Smart room control, robot delivery service, and a washing machine with dryer – perfect for winter travelers! There's also a restaurant on the first floor with a rich breakfast spread. Cleanliness: Clean and comfortable. Service: Excellent hotel service, got a free room upgrade, and I stayed for three days. Highly recommend this place. Environment: Close to tourist attractions like Dujiangyan, Nanqiao Bridge, and Guanxian Ancient City. Getting around is convenient too; it's just a few hundred meters to Lidui Park Station and Yangtianwo Square."

"The courtyard is amazing! We brought our kids here to escape the hustle and bustle, and it truly felt like being back in the countryside with the fresh air and quiet. Sitting in the courtyard at night listening to the cicadas was so peaceful and comfortable. The owner even lit mugwort incense for us, and we didn't get a single mosquito. The room was also very clean. You can really tell the owner puts a lot of effort into managing the place. Overall, it was excellent, and we'll definitely stay here again next time! 👍"
