First time in Guiyang, we chose to stay in Huaguoyuan. The area is really lively, and we picked this art gallery hotel. It's not a real art gallery, but it certainly feels like one! 📍 The location is super close to the White House (the local landmark), just a few minutes' walk away, so you can enjoy the White House night view 🌃. 🏨 Every corner feels like an art exhibition, with sculptures, paintings, and designer furniture. 🛏 We even stayed in a Minion-themed room! Banana yellow colors, Minion pillows, and wall murals 💛. The attention to detail was amazing. The room featured a smart toilet and smart home control – you could just speak to turn off lights and close curtains. The bedding was comfortable, and the toiletries were high-quality. 💡 Little Tips: * I recommend visiting Huaguoyuan Wetland Park at dusk to capture the White House during 'blue hour' 🌆. The lights are on from 8 PM to 12 AM, making for great photos. * The hotel lobby and corridors are also very photogenic. Solid-colored clothing would look great there. * If you book one day in advance, the hotel offers a complimentary pick-up or drop-off service to/from the station or airport once! (Available from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM).

This was a great stay. The room was clean and tidy with good natural light and ventilation, and the bedding was very comfortable. It was really convenient for a quick check-in and check-out. The front desk staff were very friendly and responsive to any questions. Plus, it's super easy to find places to eat and get around from here. Excellent value for money, I'll definitely choose this place again next time.

I have to give this hotel a perfect five-star rating! I was so careless when checking in with my car that I left my suitcase in the hotel's underground parking garage. I only realized it long after I had checked in, and I panicked instantly. I quickly contacted the front desk staff, and the young man who helped me was incredibly enthusiastic and patient, without the slightest hint of perfunctoriness. He immediately offered to take me to the garage to search floor by floor, running back and forth to check surveillance footage and meticulously inspecting every corner of the parking spaces. It took a lot of effort and time, but we finally found my suitcase. Throughout the whole process, the staff member was proactive and responsible, and he treated me with such kindness. He resolved the issue very efficiently, completely alleviating my anxiety about losing my luggage. The hotel itself is clean and has convenient parking, but what's even more commendable is the staff's thoughtful and warm service. They actively and enthusiastically helped me when a sudden situation arose, making the experience absolutely fantastic! I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town. Highly recommended!

The facilities are well-equipped, and the air conditioning works great. The room had no strange odors and was clean and hygienic, with a pleasant environment. The location is convenient, and the service is excellent. There are many great restaurants nearby, and it's easy to get around by taxi or on foot.

First: this place is not a Carlton Hotel chain hotel. It is a rip off name. Secondly: it is located on the 8th floor of a commercial tower. As a 3 star rated hotel in china, it's on the high end of the scale inside. as a solo traveller, i am mainly looking at convenience and hygiene. I booked this place for it's proximity to the train station for my early morning flight. Arriving at the station, it took me 40 minutes to find my way to walk over to the hotel, and would have appreciated more information. How to get there: Exit the station at the west plaza, on your right somewhere, you will find a path which leads to an underpass to cross the highway. Walk straight into the basement of the commercial building, turn left and then go up the escalators. Then the hotel's lifts are on the left as you enter the building. The current state of the elevator lobby and the lift is dire. See photos. Cigarette butts, and renovation mess. In the reception, there was a lady in front of me that was haggling the prices of her room. Just so that you get an idea of the place. Once I got into the room, it was fine. Quite a nice area. But there was no Aircon control, it was all centralised, but at least it was cool in Guiyang that night. There was a wet mark on the sofa, see photo. I inspected the room for hygiene, and it was ok, clean towels, clean toilet, clean sheets, pillows didn't smell. The toilet flushes well, and shower room was clean. In fact, apart from the sofa mark and the rug condition, everything was good. I marked down the hygiene mainly from a suspicious wet mark and the state of the lobby/lift. I used the self checkout in the morning to catch my train, since the reception was sleeping under the counter. It takes 10-15 min today walk to the station with luggage, with no rain shelter. Be aware. It is probably better to just book a hotel in a slightly better area and take a cab.

Stayed for 5 nights here. The hotel lobby is nice and the attendants were friendly. However, there is a bit of cigarette smell inside the lobby as some guests are smoking. Location is good, its around 10minute walk to the nearest metro. There are bus stops within 10 minute walk too. There is a food hall just beside the hotel which is very convenient, and affordable too. The hotel is in a quiet area, and often not much road traffic. We also had hotel breakfast here. They had lots of choices, mostly home cooked style food.. fried rice, eggs, vegetables, coffee machine, soy milk, noodles etc. They change some of their menu everyday. The lady making the noodles was also very nice and friendly. For the room, we liked it. Clean and spacious. Bed was cozy. However the airconditioner was not that cold, seems it only reached around 24c.. which was just ok. Good thing is that the weather became colder on our 3rd night, so we just opened our windows. Shower pressure is also good. They provided us free water everyday, and tea..but no coffee. Service was excellent and quick! It was also good that we can contact the service crew via wechat. Sevice crew were very friendly. Overall good value for money and would recommend!

The service is very good. The front desk lady is very enthusiastic. She sent me a courier when I left something behind. The hotel environment is also very good, with complete facilities and equipment. The bathroom has a large dry and wet separation space and is very clean. The floor attendants greeted us when they met us. They were very enthusiastic and it was a satisfactory trip.

The hygiene was impeccable, the room was bright with no strange odors, and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was very clean. The front desk staff were attentive and promptly responded to any requests. The surrounding area has convenient transportation and is quiet, not noisy. The mattress was just right—not too soft, not too firm—and very comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend it.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, providing information about tourist attractions and subway/bus stops. The hotel rooms and bathrooms were clean and hygienic, and the laundry room on the 5th floor was thoughtfully designed for guests' laundry needs. The shopping area and restaurants downstairs are very convenient. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Guiyang. Highly recommended!

Very bad experience. Would not recommend. Right from the moment we arrived, it was disappointing. We had a lot of luggage since we were traveling from Nanning, and there was no one to receive us or guide us — just a dark alley with no staff in sight. We had to call the number listed, and even then, the person on the call had no idea where we were supposed to check in. After some confusion, we had to walk around 200 meters to a completely different hotel’s service center just to check in. Even there, the service was terrible — the staff were casually chatting on WeChat and clearly had no clue what they were doing. We waited nearly 30 minutes before they finally said we should go to another hotel nearby. They gave us a room card and we moved all our luggage there, only to get a call saying the room was already booked for the next day — so we had to move again. Thankfully, we hadn’t unpacked yet, but it was still exhausting and unacceptable. Even basic things like water bottles weren’t available — we were told they would send a message in a WeChat group and they would deliver it to the room later. Seriously? Overall, the experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and stressful. The only positive part was the security staff — they were actually helpful and polite. Everything else? Not worth it. Chinese version for locals - 整体体验非常差。我们带着很多行李到达时，居然没有任何人接待我们。该家酒店不接受办理入住，办理入住非常混乱，我们还得走到另一家酒店的服务台，等了30分钟，工作人员却不知道该怎么操作。后来我们被安排到另一家酒店的房间，结果又打电话来说那个房间已经被别人预订了，还得再换一次。连瓶装水都没有，要在微信群里发消息才会送来。唯一好的地方就是保安很热心。不推荐入住。整体体验非常差一个度假村行的酒店管理却做得如此之差，不知道是怎么经营下来的。
