"Originally, I planned to go straight from Chongqing to Guiyang for a food tour, but then I stumbled upon this village online and saw reviews praising this hotel. I booked a room overnight, and it truly lived up to expectations. The butler provided pick-up and drop-off service at the scenic area entrance, even helping with luggage all the way to the room. When we checked in, the proprietress saw we were hot and immediately brought us chilled watermelon. The service was absolutely fantastic! The hotel also offers complimentary ethnic clothing rentals for photoshoots, and everyone complimented how beautiful they looked when we wore them around the village. The room was spacious, and the two 1.5-meter double beds could easily accommodate four people. There's even a balcony. I'll definitely come back if I get the chance. I also got my hair done outside for 20 yuan."

"If you're particular about hotel hygiene and sleep quality, you should definitely consider this place.
I booked this hotel in a rush, and it surprisingly exceeded all my expectations. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, the water pressure is strong, and it's spotlessly clean. The scenic view is fantastic, and you don't even have to climb any hills to get there. The owner is incredibly kind; they helped with transportation and even carried my luggage in the rain, making sure I caught my high-speed train just in time – every second counted! There's just so much good to say about this place.... The location is also great, near the performance circular stage, and just 100 meters from the hotel entrance is a snack street with amazing BBQ at night."

It's conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from Sister Hua's restaurant. The village itself isn't large; you can easily explore every corner in half a day. Compared to other heavily commercialized villages, it's a rare gem that has some modern amenities but still retains its authentic rustic charm. My stay in Baiyan was truly delightful. Drifting off to sleep surrounded by nature at night felt like the most perfect, soothing white noise."

"The room was very clean and spacious. The owner even helped us with our luggage from the scenic viewpoint drop-off and back to the pick-up point upon check-out. On the day we checked in, they gave us a whole plate of fruit and explained how to best explore the Miao Village. They also offered free Miao traditional costume experiences, which looked very clean, but we opted for a professional makeup and styling service instead, so we didn't try them out.
The breakfast was very generous, and the owner's hand-ground coffee was delicious! They thoughtfully asked if we preferred it hot or cold. All the water and drinks were also complimentary, so we didn't need to buy any in the scenic area.
PS: My absolute favorite was the rocking chair in the room – I wish I could get one for my own home, hehe! The projector screen was huge, and the whole room was smart-enabled; you could easily control everything by just saying ”Xiao Du Xiao Du” (the smart assistant's name).
I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends if they visit in the future! 😆"

"I'd been planning a trip to Qianhu Miao Village for ages, and finally, my partner and I made it! There are tons of hotels and B&Bs around, and after a good bit of searching, I picked this one which was on a top-rated list and seemed to offer good value for money.
After booking, the owner called to confirm our details, asked where we were coming from and when we'd arrive, and gave us some really helpful tips – super thoughtful. Since we drove, having a dedicated parking lot was a real convenience.
The hotel isn't huge, but it feels incredibly welcoming everywhere you look. The main reason is the owners; they are such a lovely couple. They enthusiastically shared local delicacies from their hometown with us, told us which tourist traps to avoid in the scenic area, and recommended genuinely good restaurants. They even dropped us off and picked us up at the scenic area entrance. It was a truly pleasant trip and stay – highly recommend!"

"Excellent! The guesthouse is newly opened, and the environment, cleanliness, and service are all top-notch. We chose a location halfway up the mountain because we didn't want to climb too high. The guesthouse's location not only offers great views but also doesn't require a long climb, and the location is excellent. There are many snacks downstairs, and it's not far from various attractions we wanted to visit. The host, Xiaoyu, is handsome and provides excellent service. The restaurants he recommended were all great—delicious and affordable—and he did his best to meet all our needs! Furthermore, he answered all our questions about the guesthouse before we arrived in the Miao village in great detail and even filmed a very complete video showcasing our room. A perfect score! We'll definitely come back next time."

"The hygiene here is excellent! The best part is that even though it's right by the West Gate entrance of the Miao Village, the hotel staff provides pick-up and drop-off services for when you're going out or coming back – their service is absolutely fantastic. Living inside the village itself, the hygiene isn't as good, and the surrounding area is mostly guesthouses. To find a place with such great service, cleanliness, and environment, it's really quite a gem! Plus, it comes with a large balcony and breakfast! It was my first time visiting, so I wasn't sure about the times, but the staff even reminded me about the last tourist shuttle, otherwise, I would have missed it. Truly amazing!"

"I was somewhat prepared for the crowds at Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, but I was still surprised to find it packed, even outside of peak summer season. Luckily, I cleverly booked this guesthouse. Just ten minutes after adding them on WeChat, while I was parking at the North Gate, their concierge helped me book the entrance tickets, saving me 20 RMB. Upon arriving at Wind-Rain Bridge No. 5, the concierge assigned for pickup was already waiting. Following advice from a travel guide, I only brought a backpack with a day's clothes and toiletries. The stone steps leading up were indeed a bit steep, but we reached the guesthouse much quicker than I'd anticipated. Although it wasn't check-in time yet and we only intended to rest in the common area, the owner kindly allowed us to access our room early since it was already cleaned. They also showed us two different access routes to our room (an inner and outer path) and provided us with various tips and recommendations for dining, entertainment, and local attractions, helping us avoid any potential tourist traps. Even though we only stayed for one night, their thoughtful services left a lasting impression: a private viewing platform, complimentary unlimited mineral water, and a full set of toiletries, among other amenities. Coupled with the panoramic, unobstructed floor-to-ceiling window view from its hillside location, it truly made the trip worthwhile!"

This has been the best hotel we've been to in China so far! The host was so kind to upgrade us to an incredible room for free, the view was exceptional, the bath was warm, everything worked perfectly and we had a great time. The host is clearly a very good person that cares a lot, he had excellent communication, he suggested some restaurants and a very helpful local route. He even brought us coffee to the room in the morning! The location of the hotel is ideal, only 2 minutes walk up the hill from the main street. We struggled to decide how far up the mountain we should stay, this hotel was prefect: high enough for a perfect view but not too high to be far away from restaurants or difficult to get to. If we are forced to add a suggestion, we would say electric blankets on the beds for winter. We would very much recommend this hotel, you will be well looked after!

Guest UserThis hotel is located at the middle of the hill, very close to 1st bridge, west gate. You still need to take park bus from big west gate to small west gate, then from small west gate take another mini bus to 1st bridge station, from there only walk up to hotel, so if u have many or big luggages, u have tough time! The path to access hotel from 1st bridge station is a quite slope, and issue for old folks or bad stamina tourists. Hotel staff are helpful all the times. They even free upgrade me to top floor for great view! Means I need to climb more staircase... Hahaha. The room is great with balcony and the view is gorgeous. Since the hotel not along those bridges, so it's very quiet at night.

Comfortable and Convenient Stay with Thoughtful Host
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room is new and equipped with smart controls, making it very comfortable and modern. It is the same as the picture. They had a lift too which is suitable for seniors and children.
The owner is fantastic — they assisted us with several parcel collections from Taobao, which was a huge help since collecting them ourselves would have been inconvenient. At the last minute, they even helped purchase a birthday cake for my nephew from the city, which we truly appreciated.
The location is excellent, with plenty of food options nearby. It’s also a great alternative for families who want to explore the area without staying in the Ancient Town — dragging luggage and changing buses there can be challenging. Whenever we were tired, we could simply take a Didi back to the hotel, and it drops you right at the door.
Overall, this is a highly recommended stay for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a host who goes the extra mile!

Guest UserThe owner is a local, very kind and chatty. He called in advance to tell us to get off at the North Gate, then take another car to the Small North Gate. If you tell him beforehand, he'll come help with your luggage, and even carried it to our room. The room itself was clean, tidy, and comfortable. From the balcony, you can see the scenery of the outside suspension bridge, and both day and night views are excellent! (However, there's a garbage truck nearby that can be a bit noisy when it collects trash after midnight, though the owner did provide earplugs. Also, at night, there are some street vendors grilling in the alley downstairs, which can lead to a bit of a smoke smell). Despite these minor points, the overall experience was great. It was especially pleasant to sit on the balcony and enjoy the scenery when it rained during the day. The owner even gave us a small gift when we checked out, which made us very happy! 😃

Guest UserAfter getting off the bullet train at Kaili South Station, we took a taxi to the North Gate of the Miao Village, then a sightseeing bus to the Small North Gate. From there, we walked into the scenic area to the No. 6 Wind and Rain Bridge and contacted the owner to help us with our luggage. It was raining heavily with the sun the day we checked in, which was a huge help. The owner even sent a map explaining the terrain, showing great thoughtfulness. The room was spacious and bright, with two air conditioners that cooled the room quickly. There was a TV with screen mirroring. The small balcony offered a great view. The bathroom and shower were large and very clean, and the drainage was excellent, drying quickly instead of being constantly damp.

The room was unexpected. The front desk lady provided excellent service. She also took the initiative to contact us in advance. Because we had a lot of luggage, the front desk lady also arranged for staff to pick us up and help us with our luggage. She also introduced the scenic area and gave us the tour route. The room was upgraded. The room we originally booked did not have a view. We were upgraded to a balcony view king room for free. You can see the panoramic view of the Miao village. You don't need to climb the mountain to see the panoramic view. The hotel is located in the center of the Miao village. It is convenient to go anywhere. It is especially worth recommending 👍👍👍

In the early morning, a thin mist hangs over the wooden stilt houses, and the distant chirping of birds creates a refreshing atmosphere. As night falls, the village lights up, and the bustling crowds fill the entire Miao Village with life and energy. Besides the captivating scenery, there's also mouth-watering food, with every bite tasting like home. Friends who are planning to visit Miao Village, come and experience this unique charm! We stayed at Shawan Homestay, which has a comfortable environment and an excellent view. The butler service was warm and attentive, and the facilities were very upscale. We were very satisfied with both the stay and the food. This trip was delightful!

Tey katelynI love the view of the hotel, although some of the furniture's are a little bit torn in the living room but the ones in the room are clean and tidy !
The owner has a really cute corgi, and he's very friendly in guiding us despite calling him multiple times a day to ask him for direction , bus transfer, and luggage transfer.
I would recommend not to bring too heavy items like I did because the route to the hotel is a bit far and difficult until the bus station.
It's a really chill hotel that's near another viewing point for the paddy field . The design is good too!
Thanks to the kitchen , I managed to cook my own supper, and there's a convenience store right outside the hotel too.

There's also some food delivery available thru *******.
