"The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was definitely convenient, making it easy to get around. However, the room could have been cleaner and the overall cleanliness was below my expectations. If you’re staying here, I would suggest not expecting too much in terms of room condition and cleanliness. That said, the friendly staff and convenient location are the main positives."

"🅿️ Parking: Since I was driving, I parked on the 7th floor and above of the Sunday Tiandi Outlet. You can park first and then check-in. The front desk will provide a paper slip, which makes it very convenient to enter and exit the parking lot during your stay. Pros: ❶ Great location, very close to the hotel ❷ It's free. Cons: ❶ The parking lot is quite small, so you have to keep circling up ❷ Since it's a department store parking lot, it can get very crowded sometimes, and you have to wait for the elevators (on the day I visited, two out of three elevators were out of order) ❸ You need to register when you exit, and sometimes staff will patrol, so you have to wait. Hotel Location: Pros: When you open the map, it's close to all the popular attractions. Even if some places are further away, public transportation is very convenient. Cons: At night, in the direction of the convenience store, there are clubs or other establishments...? A group of people gather there. I suggest going with a companion if you need to buy things at the convenience store (this point varies from person to person). Hotel: Pros: ❶ The front desk staff are very helpful ❷ When checking in, you can get combs, razors, and toothbrushes (🆓) at the front desk ❸ There's no bottled water, but there's a water dispenser outside the elevators where you can fill your room's mug (you can also get free drinks at the front desk, the cocoa is delicious) ❹ The environment is very clean and pleasant ❺ You can arrange for housekeeping to clean the room. Cons: ❶ There were mosquitoes, so bring insect repellent. Room: Deluxe Studio Suite (the one in the far corner to the right of the elevator on the 7th floor) Pros: ❶ The environment is clean, and the facilities seem quite new. Cons: ❶ The table and chairs are hard and small ❷ The soundproofing is poor; you can hear conversations loudly from the hallway ❸ The bathroom takes up one-third of the room and isn't completely dry/wet separated. Although the bathroom space is large, the sink is tiny and cute. Suggestion: This room type is suitable for one person; it feels a bit cramped for two."

"The facilities had everything one would expect, including disposable slippers. They offer luggage storage, and the room was very clean – no cockroaches or other bugs. Luggage storage is available, and the location is excellent, near Taichung Railway Station, and close to famous goose and Taichung meatball restaurants. Laundry costs 40 NTD, and you can buy detergent on site. One drawback is that the air conditioning in the room didn't dehumidify, making the entire room very damp; my passport even felt a bit damp from the humidity."

"The hotel is really commendable. The staff are nice and can speak English well, the location is really nice! It is within prime location. Just a walking distance to the Taichung Station, Taroko Mall, Miyahara and other tourist spot within the city vicinity. Bus stops is also near to the hotel. I would stay here again."

"Loved this place! Would book again. Hotel was located around a 10mins walk from Taichung station, in a relatively quiet area. Great aesthetics and overall cleanliness which made us feel very comfortable during our stay. Ps, we were greeted by a lovely aesop-type scent upon arrival, with matching scents for the shampoo/body wash."

"First time staying at Floating Clouds Inn, and what a pleasant surprise! Surprise number one: smart check-in. Everything is self-service, and the parking lot is super convenient, right downstairs from the inn, with plenty of spaces! After parking, you take the elevator to the inn lobby and use the self-service machine to check in and get your room card. I had already booked the room on Trip.com, so all I needed to do was enter the phone number used for the booking and scan my ID for the record. It was really convenient! The room was quite elegant. Following the environmental trend, personal amenities are not provided in the room, but there's a vending machine in the inn where you can purchase whatever you need. During our stay, we used the gym facilities on the second floor to burn off some of the calories from overindulging at the nearby Fengjia Night Market. Oh, and speaking of which, it's not far from the Fengjia business district, which is great for a stroll and some shopping! Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, and I'd definitely come back if I get the chance!"

"Extremely disappointed 😞. The family room I saw in the pictures wasn't the one I stayed in, and there were no photos of my actual room type available on Trip.com. The room I got didn't match the price I paid. I booked specifically for the room design, so I was really upset when I arrived. When I asked at the front desk, they told me, 'Because you didn't request it? So it's just a standard room?' I had no idea there were other room types. I came during a public holiday (and my price was more than double the usual rate), but I didn't get the room I wanted. I really can't accept this! The most unreasonable thing, in my opinion, was the security deposit. I'm okay with paying a deposit, but why wasn't it refunded immediately? Who traveling for a vacation in Taiwan wants to wait over two weeks for a refund? I've already waited fourteen days, and they're saying it's Trip.com's problem and not theirs??? The staff just shifted all the blame and didn't help resolve the issue at all! It's already 2/28 to 3/14 and I still haven't received my money? What happened to the promised 7 to 14 days? And I can't find anyone who can help resolve this problem! I hope the hotel can help deal with this instead of just saying it's not their problem. The hotel partners with Trip.com; they help you get guests, so why are you so indifferent to your customers' issues??? Who would dare to book with you again after this??? (RM591.92) Is the deposit for one night the same as the holiday room price??? Maybe you didn't collect it directly, but since you let Trip.com collect it, you should be responsible for helping to inquire and assist customers in getting their money back. Just because it's not 'your' money, you don't care? Is this a customer service issue? Five hundred TWD 4,600?? Is that a service fee? Is this a joke? No problem resolution? The breakfast was indeed good! I'll give them that. But who knows how much Oden 🍢 there was? They advertised it as a late-night snack, but it was all gone by 9 PM? When I asked, they just said, 'It's gone, it's gone?' In that case, why even offer it?"

"Excellent location and friendly hardworking staff. But this is one of the worst hotel I have stayed in. The room has the necedsary furniture but they are run.down. The owner apparently only cares about himself. For an example I have posted a photo of curtain with holes. The bed was firm but ok. The bathroom was actually not bad. Only strange thing was that there was no toilet roll holder. There never was one as there are no holes on the wall either. Housekeeping worked hard but with the state of the room, there's only so much they can do. The breakfast was strange. If something ran out they are instructed not to refill I guess. Even the coffee machine just gives you a slightly coloured water. Someone complained about bed bugs in some review, but we had no such problem. With an excellent location, I regret to say that the hotel is in a pathetic state. As the owner only likes to count money. So sad."

"This hotel is in a perfect location very near to the Taichung Train Station and just a short walk to the famous Miyahara, making sightseeing and travel incredibly easy. Having a 7-Eleven nearby was also super convenient for quick snacks and essentials. Absolutely loved the breakfast buffet options, which offered a great variety of delicious choices every morning. Another huge plus was having a bathtub in the room, which was amazing to enjoy and relax in after a whole day of traveling. While it was a bit weird that the self-service laundry machines were located right by the children's playground area, the overall experience was still good and convenient. Highly recommend staying here!"

"I stayed here many years ago. When my friends visited Taiwan from abroad, we booked this hotel because it's incredibly close to Fengjia Night Market – literally a hundred meters downstairs and you're in! So, convenience was the main draw. The environment is also pretty good. The rooms are small, tiny even! But that doesn't detract from the overall experience."
