"This hotel is quite basic, similar to an economy hotel in China. The room isn't very spacious, but the details are well-thought-out, and all necessary amenities are available. The hotel's main advantage is its incredibly convenient location; just step out the door to the left, and you're at Kanazawa train station. The ginkgo trees lining the streets in late autumn offer a charming view, making travel very easy. I noticed many domestic business travelers and older students staying there. The hotel has a public bathhouse accessible with your room card, but we were too exhausted from sightseeing every day to try it. Overall, this hotel isn't for a relaxing 'lie-flat' stay, but for those who frequently visit attractions, its location and value for money make it a pretty good choice."

I choose this hotel also because I used Hokuriku pass which is passed by Kanazawa Sta. The room is like other 3 star hotel in Japan, not too big but enough if you bring top loading luggage."

"My flight got canceled, so I was stranded in Hokuriku. I searched on Trip and found this hotel to be the best value for money, a double room was only a little over 400 yuan a night. It's in a very convenient and quiet location, just a 7-minute walk from Kanazawa Station's West Exit. The staff were polite, and the hotel environment was spacious and clean. The bed was also large, and all the basic amenities were provided. Highly recommended."

"First of all, I want to mention check-in. Because I didn’t read the information carefully, I arrived at Neon Hotel at about 9pm. I didn’t know how to enter after that. Fortunately, we met some guests who told us that we found out that we had to go to the train station first. Please check in at Hotel Kanazawa first. They will give you the access code of Neon Hotel to enter the hotel and room.
The room is clean and tidy, with enough space for the four of us to stay comfortably. There is a washing machine in the room for washing clothes. It is very convenient.
The location of the hotel is a bit difficult to find, but of course you can find it by using Google Maps. There is no parking lot nearby. It takes about 5 minutes to walk. The hotel is about 7 minutes from the train station, which is quite convenient."

"I had a comfortable stay.
I stayed in room 509.
The view from the window isn't great because it's in the next building.
The amenities are minimal. It's very clean, with a three-piece unit bath.
Hair dryer available.
Amenities available.
Mini coffee maker available.
◎
YouTube and Netflix are available on the TV. Outlets available. USB available.
Breakfast is decent, and the coffee machine is decent too.
The staff are all very nice.
Everyone's smiling. 😄
A famous conveyor-belt sushi restaurant is right in front of me. If you want seafood, skip the market and go to this place, it's my #1 or #2 pick. Also at the intersection is Akadama Honten, a long-established Kanazawa oden restaurant. You need a reservation to get in, so I recommend the smaller restaurant across the street, which has a line-up.
But there are plenty of other restaurants nearby, so you won't have any problems.
Check it out on Google Maps."

"Although the room is 19sqm, it was enough for 3 of us. The bathroom was a good size. The location was good, 15 min walk from kenroku-en. There was free flow drinks at the cafe from 4-8pm.. However, as our room was on 2nd floor, and next to the small lane, with many pubs, it was quite noisy through the night."

"The breakfast was incredibly generous, and the local Kanazawa rice was absolutely delicious! The room was a bit small, but having an onsen (hot spring bath) made up for it. They also have a free evening bar with a variety of local alcoholic beverages and snacks. You can even choose your own pillow! Plus, there's a great selection of skincare and bath amenities. It's a fantastic hot spring hotel chain."

Amazing
KKel C.Very neat and clean place. The host Bungo was patient and detailed, provided recommendations to sightseeing spots and even helped me to reserve a visit that needed pre booking. I like his thoughtful touch of bookmarking the restaurants on the map and sharing them with guests.
The location was roughly 15min by foot to the station but it could also depend on the weather. Western showers available all hours and a private Japanese bath in the evening and nighttime slot. Close to the Omicho market and the castle park.
I tend to be someone that leaves behind something every place I go and they helped me to stop that. Thank you Bungo and the family!
SSvetaLThis was a wonderful hostel to stay at, and really made me enjoy my stay in Kanazawa. It's right in the middle, beyween the garden, the samurai district and the chaya district, so it was perfect for getting around, and very close to the train station. The people working here are super sweet and they even have some plum wine in the evenings for guests. The staff mainly stays in their sister hostel, however the hostel itself is very secure and the door is always locked. It's always nice for a quick rest as well between wandering, and there's a delicious ramen restaurant a minute walk away.
GGuest UserHad a splendid stay. Although there was no parking, they suggested a nearby parking lot. Making it easy for us to take a 10 m walk to the station with plenty of food.
Was provided with very clear instructions on how to check in.
The rooms were very clean with nice furnishing. Tatami beds were very comfortable.
Maybe the only con is there are no elevators. So, if u have heavy luggages, bear in mind but they was a staff at the premise during our check in. He offered to help carry our luggages.
AAyu RayonPerfect accommodation!!
I arrived and the staff explain it clearly, and very helpfull. The pod is nice, for me it's quite spacious. If you have a big luggage they have some section to put it in the share room. Shower room and spa located in the B1F, I did the spa, and it's only me, maybe that was awesome quite time. The welcome drink really nice, lounge room is comfortable and accommodating for eating, drinking and working as well. And for women, they provide hair straightener, I cannot use mine because the voltage issue.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is clearly showing its age and may not meet expectations for those looking for a more modern or well-maintained stay. While it carries the IHG branding, the overall experience feels dated.
One of the main challenges was communication. The front desk staff had very limited English proficiency, making it difficult to get clear directions—especially regarding parking. Guests are required to go to the front desk to ask about parking arrangements, which is not very convenient. The signage outside is also misleading, and it’s easy to mistakenly park at a nearby open-air lot that charges ¥100 per 15 minutes or ¥1000 for 12 hours. The hotel’s designated parking is actually located in a shopping mall, which is not immediately obvious.
The rooms themselves are quite old, with worn facilities. The bathroom had a noticeable musty smell, suggesting poor ventilation or maintenance. Amenities were basic—Dove toiletries were provided instead of the more commonly seen Pola brand in Japanese hotels. The air conditioning was also ineffective, which made the stay less comfortable.
That said, the hotel does have one strong advantage: location. It is directly opposite Ōmichō Market, making it very convenient for exploring the market and enjoying a great local breakfast.
Overall, this hotel may be suitable for travelers
who prioritize location over comfort, but those expecting a smoother and more modern stay might want to consider other options.
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic! Although it's a bit of a walk from Kanazawa Station, the hotel is surrounded by amazing restaurants. All the eateries recommended by the official Kanazawa website are within walking distance, and the hotel is centrally located, making it super convenient to get anywhere. Since taking the bus can be a hassle, I'd recommend walking – it really doesn't take that long, haha!
The hotel environment is also perfectly fine. They don't provide slippers, but since it's a Japanese-style tatami room, you just walk on it directly, so it's no big deal. If you're particular, you can bring your own disposable slippers. Plus, the hotel cleans daily, and even the shoe cabinet is wiped clean!
Just a heads-up: you can't stay in the room during cleaning hours (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM), and check-ins aren't processed then either. You can hang out in the hotel lobby during that time, but honestly, when you're on vacation, shouldn't you be out enjoying yourself instead of waiting around?
BBaluoqinuotasuoHotel Roo Ying should be an old chain hotel with a high-end facade. The location is also good. It is only five minutes walk along the railway from the station hall. The room is average. There is a public bath area but I didn't have time to use it, which is a bit regrettable. The breakfast is rich enough, but it is a bit regrettable that there is no fruit. This price, location, and specifications are very cost-effective. This is my fourth time in Kanazawa. It is a place where I can stay for a few more days to avoid the crowds.
GGuest UserThe room is tiny. I’m a small woman but feel the room is tiny, especially the bathroom. It’s a cheap budget hotel. I booked this hotel as I arrived around 11pm and went to bed straight after. They look after the luggage.
FFengyuezhibianAnother unforgettable hot spring trip!
This time I booked the Bailezhuang Hotel in Tangyong Hot Spring Village in the mountains near Jinyu in advance. One berth and two meals are the classic Japanese hot spring hotel gameplay. The so-called two meals are the dinner on the night of stay and the breakfast on the next day.
From the soup opposite Bailezhuang, I changed from the hotel. It snowed heavily that day, and there was a little more meaning in the snow. The hotel welcoming brother saw the guests coming close, and he quickly ran out to welcome the guests with an umbrella, leaving a good first impression.
After entering the seat, kneel and present welcome drinks and desserts, very thoughtful. At the same time, the extra seafood for dinner - local crabs, should be recommended in the season, so it cost an extra 50,000 yen to take it down. (This should not be a must, regular dinner is included in the room rate)
The room has a private soup (the size of a bathtub), which is said to be semi-open-air in fact indoors. The snow scene gives the room a big bonus, and the window is as pure and white as a painting.
Compared with other hot spring hotels, this public soup is small and located on the second floor. There are two small pools for men and women, one indoor and one outdoor, which is slightly stingy. But fortunately, the number of hotel rooms is small and there are not many guests crowded.
The hotel is also equipped with a recreation room, with billiards, table tennis and moths. The equipment is not bad, it is very good in the package.
Ffumei weiThe counter staff is kind and patient. The place to eat on the first floor is not very good. It may be necessary to prepare for early dining. There is a lunch box for the tenant to take out and breakfast is appetizing. The bathroom is small but acceptable. If you can install a handrail next to the bathtub, it will be safer for older people.
