On my last day in Harbin, I was sent off by a heavy snowfall! 🎬 The video of the snow falling outside the hotel entrance will forever be my most romantic memory of this city. I chose a hotel near the airport for convenience, but unexpectedly, I found so much warmth there. The service from the people of Harbin is truly exceptional – warm, attentive, and welcoming. From the hotel staff to the locals I met on the street, everyone made me feel so welcome. I had an amazing time in Harbin, and this snowfall just added an extra layer of romance to the city. "The room was warm enough despite the temperature outside is freezing cold at lowest -27 during our stay. They said there is only 1 family suite each floor, so the view with St Sophia Cathedral is guaranteed. There is 1 bed right after the entrance (i call it the living room with bed), and another 1 bed inside the bedroom. There is only 1 toilet / shower room - which is at the living room. There is no table or coffee table to eat together with family. The room overall has plenty of space but lack of proper furnitures."

"It's worth the roughly 200 yuan price tag, considering its proximity to Central Street. However, this hotel's only real selling point is its four-star rating. First off, the soundproofing is terrible, not just mediocre, but truly bad. You can hear every flush of the toilet from the room above, which made it hard to sleep at night! Even worse, the sound of the door opening and closing across the hall was incredibly loud!"

Since getting a taxi in winter can be difficult, staying at a hotel near a subway entrance is definitely the top choice. Plus, their breakfast is pretty good, a mix of Chinese and Western options. YYanggaomeinvTraveling to Harbin with my child, our first stop was the Xana Hotel (Harbin Central Street Sophia Church). The hotel's location is perfect, situated in the middle-north section of Central Street, making it incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. Zhaolin Park is just 100 meters east, across the street, and the main Central Street is 50 meters west. St. Sophia Cathedral is about 500-800 meters away on foot. The hotel lobby was super cozy, offering a stamp check-in and afternoon tea. The staff provided excellent service. Since I hadn't planned my trip and decided to go last minute, I asked about Harbin's specialties. They even added me on WeChat and sent me a guide to dining, entertainment, and attractions around the hotel. The breakfast was incredibly rich, meeting all the nutritional needs (meat, eggs, milk, fruit) required for traveling with a child. On the day of check-out, I decided last minute to take some travel photos with my child near St. Sophia, which delayed our check-out time. The staff kindly extended our check-out until 2 PM for free. All in all, our first stop in Harbin made us feel so warm. If you're staying around Central Street, Xana is definitely the best choice!!! I've already recommended it to many friends since returning to Beijing. 😙😙😙

VveilandI chose Yufeng Hotel for my three-day trip to Harbin and stayed for two nights! The location is excellent, right next to the subway, and there's a bus stop just outside, making transportation super convenient. It's only a few minutes' walk to Central Street and Songhua River, with tons of popular shops and restaurants nearby – perfect for exploring and dining. The elevator goes straight to the fifth floor, check-in was quick, and they provided earplugs, gloves, hand warmers, fruit, and drinks. The room was stylishly luxurious and clean, with ample space. The central air conditioning kept the temperature between 23-26 degrees, and there was an air humidifier. The single bed was also very wide, and the bedding was soft, with a choice of firm or soft pillows. All toiletries were provided; surprisingly, they even had contact lens cases and solution, makeup remover, facial cleanser, body lotion, laundry detergent, a sewing kit, disposable towels, and a lint roller – truly fully equipped, the most well-stocked hotel I've ever stayed in! The room was quiet, facing an internal residential area. The staff were warm and attentive, and the butler responded promptly, offering travel tips. The hotel has a free laundry room, trendy outfits for rent, a rich breakfast, and a complimentary exquisite afternoon tea with frozen pears and persimmons, popcorn, and evening milk and snacks. There's also freshly ground coffee and delicious candies. Upon check-out, they even gave a farewell gift. Every detail was thoughtful and heartwarming. The value for money is exceptional; I'll definitely stay here again next time!

TTravellingmaudeSeine House was a warm and comfortable place to stay, especially after being out in the cold. The staff were very helpful and genuinely friendly, and they went out of their way to prepare a vegetarian breakfast for us, which was much appreciated. The rooms have a European Russian style decor with solid wooden furniture, giving the space a classic and cosy feel. The rooms were very clean with no noticeable dust, which made the stay even more comfortable. They are spacious, well heated, and felt like a real relief after long days outdoors. The bed was comfortable, there was a bathtub, and a humidifier was provided, which really helped with Harbin’s dry winter air. The overall atmosphere is homey rather than hotel like. The location is very convenient, close to Central Street (Zhongyang Street) and Zhongshan Street, and also near the cable car that crosses the Songhua River to Sun Island. It is worth noting that the hotel is officially non smoking throughout, but some guests did not follow the rules, and the smell occasionally drifted into the corridors and rooms. This was not due to the hotel’s policy, but rather guest behaviour. Overall, Seine House offers spacious, clean rooms, thoughtful service, and a warm, character filled stay in a good Harbin location, with only minor discomfort caused by guests not observing the non smoking rules.

MM312603****We stayed here for a ski trip. Our butler contacted us a day in advance and picked us up as soon as we got off the high-speed train. We were able to check in around 10 AM, which I thought would be much later. We had lunch on the hotel's first basement floor, and the food was exceptionally delicious and perfectly suited my Cantonese palate. After skiing, we returned around 4 PM, and the butler brought us a humidifier and some fruit. Any service we requested in the evening was delivered immediately after a phone call; the response time was incredible. If it weren't for my teammate getting sick and needing to return to Harbin for treatment, we would have definitely stayed another night, especially since we still had a day trip to Snow Village planned. When we left for the station, the butler even rode with us to see us off. They were so thoughtful and enthusiastic. Although the weather was cold, it warmed our hearts.

2210307****The hotel is right at the entrance of Central Avenue, so the location is excellent – attractions are right outside the door. The subway is also nearby, and it's easy to hail a taxi. The breakfast was very generous, with a wide variety of dishes. I stayed on the 13th floor, and it was very warm, in a great spot, and I slept comfortably. Bottled water was plentiful on the floor. The staff also had a good attitude. Although it's a bit pricey, I highly recommend it.

KKhac Phu NguyenConvenient for Harbin Railway Station but not the subway. We booked a three-night stay at the hotel and left our luggage there before departure. In the early cold winter morning at 6:30 a.m., we walked about two minutes to Harbin Railway Station to catch the train to Yabulixi and Xuexiang. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Although my Chinese is not good, they did their best to support us throughout our stay.

GGuest UserThis was my first time staying here, and overall I was very satisfied. When I first arrived, I didn’t have high expectations since the lobby is not located on the ground floor. However, once I went up to the 4th floor, the lobby felt spacious and luxurious. The check-in process was fairly standard, taking around 10 minutes. The staff had limited English skills, and there was no warm welcome as you might expect from a four-star hotel. However, since this is in China, this may simply be the local standard. I stayed in a room for three people. The room was not very spacious, but still acceptable for three large suitcases. One strange thing was that only two towels were provided, and even until check-out, they were never replenished to three, despite the room being booked for three guests. The room heater worked well. There was no bidet in the toilet, and the shower’s hot water was sometimes inconsistent, occasionally turning cold unexpectedly. The TV channels were limited to local Chinese channels only, and the TV was not a smart TV. Breakfast was quite varied and tasted good. The location is excellent — about a 7-minute walk to Zhongyang Street, a 2-minute walk to Sophia Cathedral, around an 8-minute walk to the nearest metro station, and the hotel is directly connected to a mall next door, making it very convenient for shopping and visiting the supermarket for daily needs. Overall, it’s a fairly good option. If I visit Harbin again, I would consider staying at this hotel again, especially considering the reasonable price for such a strategic location.

__WeChat460420****What's it like to be a ”castle owner” for a night? The Sun Island Castle Hotel, located on the scenic banks of the Songhua River, boasts a charming European architectural style. The first floor is home to various small eateries, while the entire second floor is dedicated to the hotel guest rooms. From the third floor, you can directly access the cross-river cable car, and the fourth floor houses the Chocolate Castle Museum. This museum features an incredibly diverse collection of chocolates, and outside, there's an observation deck – a superb spot to admire the Songhua River's night view. The hotel's location is excellent, offering incredibly convenient transportation. Besides the cable car, you can also take a cruise ship across the river. The sightseeing bus also stops here, making it easy to visit all the attractions on Sun Island, with the freedom to hop on and off as you please. This time, I stayed in the most affordable ”Viscount Interior Room.” The room was spacious and well-equipped, with furnishings that truly captured the grand essence of a castle. The only minor drawback was the lack of a window, meaning I couldn't enjoy the natural scenery outside – a small regret. It's worth noting that, compared to the opulent guest rooms, the hotel's front desk seemed a bit understated. The small reception counter is tucked away in a corner on the first floor, which felt a little out of sync with the ”Chocolate Castle” theme. Personally, I suggest designing the front desk in the shape of chocolate and having the reception staff wear more distinctive attire. Wouldn't that better align with the magical theme of this place? Overall, this was a surprisingly delightful stay, highly recommended for those who appreciate unique hotels.

__WeChat278290****I've stayed at this hotel many times; it's a well-established and reputable place. Every time I check in, the front desk upgrades my room. The hotel is very quiet and conveniently located right next to Songlei Yuanda. There's free parking available within the hotel grounds. This winter, when I arrived, the central air conditioning was already blasting hot air as soon as I entered the room! It felt so warm and cozy. Plus, it's very close to the subway station, making it super easy to get around.
