Explore historic Bath from the DoubleTree by Hilton Bath City hotel, in the heart of the city, on the River Avon. Enjoy seasonally inspired a la carte dining in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of our Atelier Restaurant. We serve a good range of cocktails in the sophisticated Lobby Bar as well as coffees and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Work out in our well-equipped, air-conditioned 24-hour gym. The DoubleTree by Hilton Bath City hotel is set amid the fine Georgian architecture of central Bath. Visit Bath attractions like Royal Crescent, Theatre Royal, and Roman Baths or relax at the Thermae Bath Spa. Only 90 minutes by train from London, our hotel in Bath City provides three air-conditioned meeting rooms to cater for up to 200 people. The hotel's County Suite accommodates private dinner banquets, exhibitions or seminar events for up to 200 delegates. All bedrooms at the hotel offer WiFi, internet access (fees apply), 32-inch flat-screen TVs with pay on-demand movies, and a range of luxury complimentary bathroom products. Step up to a deluxe room or suite for extra space and amenities.

"One rather expects that a stay at a Hilton, a brand one has long held in considerable esteem, would meet a certain standard of hospitality. Regrettably, this particular establishment fell woefully, almost impressively, short. Upon retiring to our room after a long day, we discovered, far too late in the evening to make alternative arrangements, that we had been allocated a room adapted for disabled guests, a fact that necessitated all manner of inconvenient provisions simply to make the facilities usable. One does wonder why such rooms are assigned without so much as a courteous forewarning. To compound matters further, the washbasin drained at a pace one can only describe as glacial, leaving the bathroom floor in a thoroughly disagreeable state. Not wishing to cause a scene at such an ungodly hour, we soldiered on, which, in hindsight, was far more grace than this establishment deserved. Seeking the modest comfort of a pair of slippers, hardly an extravagant request in a hotel of this supposed calibre, I contacted housekeeping, only to be informed, with the practised efficiency of someone reciting a well-worn script, that they had none available. The response came without apology, without sincerity, and without a single alternative offered. What truly sealed this review, however, was the checkout. Upon raising these entirely legitimate grievances with the receptionist, we were met with the sort of detached, performative *”sorry”* that one might extend to a stranger one had lightly bumped into in a corridor, utterly hollow and entirely unbefitting of the occasion. She carried on with her business quite unruffled, as though the comfort of her guests were a minor inconvenience to her morning. In short: the location is agreeable, that much I shall concede, but the standards are simply not commensurate with what one pays, nor what the Hilton name implies. One ought not to have to interrogate the front desk simply to ascertain whether one's room is fit for purpose. That is not a burden a paying guest should bear. We shall be reconsidering future bookings, and I would strongly counsel prospective guests to enquire rather thoroughly before committing. Standards here, I'm afraid, are not quite what they ought to be."

"Traditional local homestays, friends who want to experience British style can try. The front desk brother is very warm, there are maps and promotional pages at the entrance, the room is fully equipped, and coffee and biscuits are also provided. The downside is that the bed is too small ╮ (╯▽╰) ╭ My 1.68 normal height, my feet basically stick out, it is difficult to turn over and fall out of the bed 😂 Other cost-effective is very high!"

"I have stayed in 100s of Hotels. I now try to avoid the chrome & glass gin palace type. I use budget hotels for a one night stay. However this was a 5 day break to celebrate my partners 60th birthday. The Hotel was wonderful, historic building but maintained well. Lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. A lovely cooked to order breakfast and the evening meal was cooked to perfection and our waiting staff were better than most restaurants. The room was perfect, cleaned when we required and the location is perfect. There is a bus to town every 15mins which is just 3 stops away. If you are visiting Bath this is the best hotel to stay in."

Our modern and stylish rooms are inspired by our city, reflecting the influences of the architects and novelists who made Bath famous. Explore the historic sights like Bath Abbey, while also enjoying modern galleries, street performers, and local shops.

"Facilities: Perfect! The shower is spacious with great water pressure, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a heated towel rail in the bathroom, which was a lifesaver for drying clothes. The room also has a mini-fridge with complimentary drinks and biscuits, and a capsule coffee machine (though I don't drink coffee). Overall, it far exceeded my expectations. Cleanliness: Excellent, spotless. Ambiance: British-themed, with truly beautiful decor. From the common areas to the room and the restaurant, every detail is aesthetically pleasing and a delight to the eye. Service: Flawless. I couldn't find the main entrance, and the front desk staff actually came out to meet me. They were thoughtful, enthusiastic, and incredibly accommodating! I would recommend this to anyone visiting Bath."

Hotel near Bath City Center,Bath
Abbey Hotel is a perfect fit for people seeking true Bathonian encounters – a place for discerned travellers, admirers of British Quintessentials and in-the-know locals alike. It's a dog-friendly Bath hotel that blends the new with the old, the refined with the comfortable and the local with the worldly. The art, the stories, the experiences have all been purposefully directed to showcase old and new Bathonian talent. Guests are immersed in rich history, architectural beauty, regional artistry and craftsmanship in this art-driven 62-bedroom Bath hotel. Situated in the city centre, the property was built in 1739 as part of John Wood’s vision for Bath. Now in its XXI act, it has once again risen to play a role in Bath’s rich narrative, to serve as a gathering place for the city’s most interesting voices and a place for visitors and locals to unwind.

"The hotel all in all is very good. Clean, polite staff and location is perfect. Parking will have to be in the public parking around the corner which is about £20 for a day. Online it said the hotel offers halal food but once we got there they said they aren't sure they do it. The staff also informed us that we wouldn't be able to eat at the restaurant that day because they were booked for a function, but we feel this should've been communicated beforehand by email etc. Other than this I think this hotel is the best in the area and is very classy and welcoming."

Hotels in Bath
Steeped in history, Bath’s Henrietta House originates from the 1780s when a ‘new town’ area of Bath was built south of the river Avon. The architect of Henrietta House and the street was Thomas Baldwin who worked with Sir William Pulteney to divide up what had been river meadows.Today, Henrietta House offers a centrally located, tranquil setting with accommodation in 21 unique rooms.13;10;Bath was one of the most exclusive and glamorous cities in the entire world in the 1700s. Home to celebrated names such as Thomas Gainsborough (painter), Admiral Phillip (founder of Australia), and William Herschel (discoverer of Uranus), Bath was a spa town and retreat for the wealthy. A place where the upper echelons of British society could decamp from their country estates and London town-houses to meet, revel and make new connections over the summer months. The city was filled with the bustle of servants, the clatter of hooves and the chatter of the upper classes, gossiping over tea or duelling at the card table.13;10;Bath’s pre-eminence as ‘the place to be seen’ began to decline in the late 1700s. Whilst seaside resorts such as Brighton became the new fashionable hotspots for the privileged, Bath’s allure as a place of culture, healing and relaxation never disappeared entirely. Over two nights during the Second World War, Bath suffered heavy bombing, destroying much of the city close to the river. The scars of this trauma are evident in the entanglement of old and new buildings scattered across the city today.13;10;Bath is now as popular as ever. It is home to a large student population, drawn by the city’s two esteemed universities. Travellers flock to the city to admire the architecture and peruse the Roman Baths – the grandest amp; best preserved example in northern Europe. Meanwhile, the residents proudly inhabit a UNESCO world heritage city (courtesy of Bath’s Georgian architecture), and its streets are regularly employed as sets for film and TV, starring in films such as ‘The Duchess’, ‘Vanity Fair’ and ‘Sense and Sensibility’.

"Our family of three stayed here with breakfast included. The room was lovely and unique, and our son enjoyed the exciting extra pet, which had a hidden room. There were also games available. My husband and I had a double bed. For breakfast, we chose eggs Benedict, poached eggs, fried eggs, or an omelet, and all were delicious. The front desk staff were also very friendly and attentive. Be sure to visit Henrietta Park, located just outside the hotel. If you're lucky, you might see a squirrel. Enjoying a forest bath is a great way to relieve your travel fatigue!"

GGuest UserI thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Chestnuts Boutique B&B! I was able to park up my car at the front of the establishment and walk around Bath for the rest of my visit! Attractions and places of interest were around a 15 minute walk away- which is fantastic! The host was so helpful and attentive. My room was clean and comfortable! I had access to plenty of wardrobe space,a TV with Netflix, a fridge, kettle and a well stocked box of tea treats (& fresh cakes too!) Breakfast was gorgeous and fresh. There were plenty of local leaflets available to read about local events and attractions too. Thank you very much!

GGuest UserThe room was fully furnished with a clean, refreshing style, and the location was excellent. Communication from the hotel was also timely, which I really appreciated. However, there was one thing that was honestly very annoying: the seagulls on the rooftop and terrace were screeching all night long.

GGuest UserWonderful setting and decor. Clean, comfortable bed. Would be good to add a smaller shower with the rain shower as it was difficult to have a shower without a shower cap  Helpful and attentive staff.  Good breakfast except they had obviously ran out of fresh mushrooms and replaced them with tinned, would have been better if they had asked if they can replace with something else and they were left untouched

GGuest UserPerfect spot for exploring Bath, very central and easy to walk to the station, shops and attractions. The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything we needed, and felt secure in the lovely courtyard. We extended our stay as we felt so at home there. There looked to be a secure left luggage store which we may have used if we’d seen it earlier. Would be useful to have info about this in the apartment info pack. There is some noise from the street for apartment 7, partly from early deliveries to Thermae Spa which is directly opposite, and also from people wandering through the echoey passageways at night. We got used to it by the end of our stay, but light sleepers might prefer one of the inward facing apartments.

ZZhanqianyingSmall luxury hotel I feel relieved to see that it is SLH, but it is unusually understaffed. From check-in to dining in the restaurant, you have to wait, wait, wait. If you don’t understand English, please don’t come. Most of the employees look like college students who work part-time and cannot solve the problem alone. question. The restaurant and bar are good, the room is very big, you need to take the stairs to the first floor, and the bathroom is half a floor up. The swimming pool is small and there are many people. There is a sauna, but it was useless because the temperature was 30 degrees on the day of arrival. Charging the tram is also very funny. It took a long time to fully charge it.

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very good located in the city center but due to several bars nearby, very noisy at night, every night you have to bring earplugs to fall asleep. The noise does not stop until about two or three o'clock.Water for shower in the washroom The pressure is very low, it will be easy to get cold if you take a shower in winter. The washing machine does not have a drying function, so the chance of using it is not high.

GGuest UserLocated on a hill top outside the Bath city, the hotel provides what we needed for one night's stay. The only shirtcoming is we had to drive into the city for dinner as we wanted something different from what the hotel restaurant provided. Apart from the location, we were happy with our stay.

GGuest UserWe stayed in a triple room and were delighted with the comfort and cleanliness. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing - 2 of us had the full English and 1 had avocado, smoked salmon and poached egg on toast. There was also a selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices, pastries, coffee and tea. All delicious. The location is superb, being very central.

GGuest UserPositives - excellent receptionist (Vipin) and without his help I would have probably checked out early. Has parking. Reasonable location and access into central Bath. Has an electric kettle and a pack of cookies. Not so positives - In desperate need of upgrade, creaking floors, wash basin outside the bathroom. It isn’t for work related travellers as you cannot even use an iron without tripping off the entire building main switch and once that happen there is no 24 hour active reception. No fan or iron provided in room so you have to ask. Tiny computer monitor used as a make shift TV that you have to pull out of a closet. No drinking water in room. Value for money not there as many better locations available at same or lower price.
