"We went to Sendai for last three years and we stayed at this hotel for at least three to five days. Nevertheless, no loyalty credit has been given. We booked a room at the last date we left Sendai (ie 2-3 Dec) and lastly we changed our mind to stay tat this hotel for two more days (ie 30 Nov to 2 Dec). When we asked if we could stay at the same room from 30 Nov to 3 Dec but not staying at the corner room, the hotel replied either we had to upgrade the room we booked for 30 Nov to 2 Dec by paying extra JPY4,000 or downgrade the room we booked on 2-3 Dec. 「No refund」was offered for any downgrading, thus we had no choice but paying extra JPY4,000. When entered into the room, we saw some rubbish on the floor, we went down to the reception immediately, in the lift, one of receptionists was with us, we intended to tell her about the cleanliness of the room but she didn’t make any response, seemed that it was none of her business. We showed the vedio regarding the rubbish to the receptionist and asked to change the room. He replied no available room for the change and no helper could help us to clean the room. At last, the receptionist came up and pick up the rubbish. No offer to clean up the room next day but sticking to the hotel’s rules to clean the room every three days. We were very unsatisfied with the hotel services and concerned about the cleanliness of the hotel."

"Among all the hotels we stayed at during our Tohoku trip to Japan, Mitsui was the best value for money. For around 400 JPY, we got a twin room that was spacious enough, in a great neighborhood with all kinds of food and shops readily available. The top-floor onsen has both indoor and outdoor baths, and everything was clean and hygienic. This time, I used a voucher I bought during Ctrip's 11.11 sale and redeemed it. I'll definitely buy more if I get the chance in the future. Sendai has a special charm; you really need to spend a few more days to fully experience it."

"Stayed at this hotel for a night with my mom. The environment is lovely and it's not too far from Sendai Station's East Exit. Plus, there's a comfortable public bath on the upper floor. However, the street outside the East Exit isn't very lively at night, and there aren't many dining options. The room itself was spotlessly clean and a good size. The building's earthquake resistance is outstanding – early this morning, there was an M5.7 earthquake in Miyagi Prefecture (intensity 3), and I felt both the bed and the entire building shaking (O_O)! "Everyone especially cleaning workers polite & helpful. Room small but locution great & toilet well equipped & clean. Lots of restaurants around. The local market nearby is a must-go. One minus though, counter staff can't easily understand our requests. Sendai is a great place but English is not a common tool for communication."

"Hotel where you can watch the sunrise from bed. Around 4:30 AM, I went to the restroom and suddenly noticed a light shining through the window. I initially thought it was just the lights from a nearby building. However, the light started changing colors, and it was absolutely stunning – it turned out to be the sunrise! I quickly went back to bed, grabbed my phone, snapped a photo, and then took a short video. Afterward, I happily went back to sleep. For this three-night stay in Sendai, I booked a standard room at KOKO Hotel (Sendai Citizen's Park). The hotel's location is excellent, near Kotodai-Koen Station. It's about a 15-minute walk, passing Aoba-dori Station and Hirose-dori Station along the way. The room wasn't huge, but there was enough space between the two beds to open a suitcase. The bathroom was a standard modular unit, very neat and clean. My room number was 1018."

"Location is great. The hotel is just opposite yodobashi south side. Room is quite small which is typical Japanese business hotel. Toilet and shower is in the same room. 7-11 shop just downstairs. Overall is good."
