"Dara Hotel is a value hotel that is well worth the cost! The breakfast was the best aspect followed by the pool and seating area. The rooms are basic but spacious. We struggled getting Grabs but you can hail street taxis/ tuck tuck easily enough. The shopping center nearby is excellent and a 5-10 minute walk. It’s a couple of miles away from the Old Town and Weekend Market."

"Absolutely amazing hotel, beautifully Japanese theme with attention to detail and customer service. Have stayed in some great hotels in Thailand but this one was our favourite. Spacious rooms that come with beautiful quality dressing gowns and slippers. Lovely breakfast and fantastic staff. Definitely will be booking again."

"The location is excellent for exploring Old Town Phuket. We arrived 3 hours prior to check in, however our room was ready and we were allowed to go straight to our room. Had we needed to wait, luggage storage was offered and the reception lobby is large spacious and cool. The room was large ( a superior twin), with a fridge, flat screen TV, coffee making facilities, plenty of hanging and storage space, as well as complimentary water. The bed linen was of a nice quality as were the towels, white and fluffy. The bathroom was spacious with ample room for toiletries to be laid out, complimentary shower gel, shampoo, shower cap and ear buds were provided. There is also a hairdryer. The shower was hot and the pressure adequate, not super powerful but powerful enough to thoroughly wash my hair. WiFi in the room and throughout the hotel was without fault. Breakfast was included in the price which was taken downstairs just off the foyer in the Breakfast Room. Breakfast consisted of tea and coffee, toast and juice. Cereal was available as were pancakes. Hot options included eggs, sausage and potatoes. Also more traditional options such as fried rice, curry, noodles and steamed vegetables. The swimming pool on the second floor was a great place to chill out in the morning before the sun got too warm. There are a few sunbeds and a small bench area, the water offered a welcome cool down after a day of exploring Phuket."

"What a great way to start our adventure.  The room is immaculate, Bed had a couple of treats waiting for us. There is also a couple of small water bottles ready for you to take and can be put into the mini fridge to keep cold. There are extra red towels for swimming very cute ^_^  The staff and team are so lovely, helping us reach our other destination Thank You!  Adventure is in your grasp being minuets away from everything: 7/11 around the corner, amazing massage in the same street.  Negatives this is my personal preferences.  The bed was a little firm for me.  The shower head in our room is too high and this made it a little difficult having a shower. If you are tall it is perfect ^_^  We will come and stay again!"

"I stayed at Pearl Hotel Phuket and overall had a good experience for the price. The hotel is conveniently located close to Old Phuket Town and near many island tour meeting points, which is very handy if you are booking trips without hotel pickup. The hotel itself is a bit old, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Considering the location and the price, it offers good value for money and is a practical choice for travelers who plan to explore Phuket and nearby islands."

"Maya Phuket Airport Hotel or Maya Hotel, in short, is the first airport hotel bordering the exit of the airport international terminal. The hotel is named after the Maya mask design on the entrance doors. It is of up to two minutes' walk from the west-end exit/entrance of Phuket Airport International Terminal. Maya Hotel is divided into the reception hall, Building A and Building B. Building A has five levels and the restaurant for breakfast. Building B has four levels where there are rooms for plane-spotting. I am grateful to the receptionist for allocating me the room where I can enjoy coincidentally flight views of aircraft departing from Phuket through the big window. So, the hotel is useful for plane-spotting during summer months or when the aircraft flying crosses the sea. However, the room looks dark as the walls are black. Black is the colour of the hotel. There is no wardrobe as guests hang their clothes opposite the toilet room which is separated from the shower room. The room temperature cannot be lowered from 30 degrees Celsius to 18 degrees Celsius but the air-con fan is working. It takes up to 15 minutes for the fan to cool the room. The noise of the balcony air-conditioner is bearable. Dinner is provided outside on the right of the reception hall until 8 pm plus local time at the ground restaurant. Two dinner choices cost me 270 Baht including sphagetti mushroom with truffle oil and fried rice. Breakfast is on the second floor of Building A. The breakfast options are plentiful. There is the egg station where the chef prepares different kinds of eggs for guests. Breakfast starts at 6.30 am until 10 am. The room rate of Maya Hotel is overpriced but if prospective guests wished to stay here, consider the purpose carefully first before booking. I booked this hotel because the better budget hotels such as the Sixteenth Naiyang Beach Hotel and Louis' Runway View Hotel for plane-spotting were fully-booked. On another note, Maya Hotel provides free bicycles for use to the nearby Sirinath National Park and beaches during guests' duration of stay."

"I think it’s much better than expected. The front desk are really friendly and helpful. Thank them a lot. Really kind and helpful to people from all countries. And rooms are clean and smells good. I booked this hotel as an accident and booked for several more days although it’s far from beaches. I miss this hotel."

"I chose the room type with the largest balcony. From the outside, other rooms' balconies were only half the size of ours. The view was absolutely stunning, overlooking the outdoor breakfast area, lush green lawns, sandy beach, and the ocean. The room itself was also very spacious, featuring a small bay window and a coffee table. The air conditioning worked perfectly, cooling down the room quickly. Breakfast was quite substantial too. You could walk directly from the hotel to the beach. Overall, I was very satisfied. If I ever visit Kata Beach again, I would definitely choose this hotel."

"Good service staff, clean room, 5 minutes from the bus station, located in Rassada, the center of Phuket, 30 minutes from the airport. You can rent a car near the shop to continue your trip."
