Explore nearby Traverse City (23 miles) with both Mission and Leelanau Peninsula wineries, award winning restaurants, Turtle Creek Casino (11.5 miles) and Shorts Brewery (14 miles) located in Bellaire. Spring and Fall offer some of the best golf in the area. Visit A-Ga-Ming Golf Course (16 miles) or travel 40 miles to the golf mecca of Gaylord which hosts some of the best golf courses around. For winter fun, enjoy skiing at several different ski slopes as well as great cross-country skiing trails at Shanty Creek Resort (14 miles).
