Find 4-Star Hotels in Durban

This hotel is the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in overseas. It faces the sea and spring flowers. Recently, it is the period of summer and autumn. The temperature is pleasant and the surrounding area is covered by green forests. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the beach. It is about 2 kilometers. The most comfortable thing is that the kind and beautiful proprietress of the hotel is very good. As soon as I arrived, I took me to turn this homestay around and introduced the functional area and precautions in detail, and asked me to choose one from two room types. She likes it very much and is happy to communicate with people. The English speed is also very suitable, I like to chat with her, this is the opportunity and time you can't enjoy in other hotels! If you have the opportunity to bring your family over next time, you must still live here! The only thing to note is that occasionally monkeys come on the balcony, go out and wait for the balcony door, this morning in my next room, there is a monkey taking advantage of his time to go to the top floor restaurant for breakfast to visit his room, and take some food! Overall, if you just look and choose another hotel, it is likely to be your loss! Haha! (Rarely will write such a long review)~

Really clean hotel Very friendly staff Out door pool Gym was smaller but well equipped and super clean In a shopping development with lots of restaurants but closed around 8pm. Had to get an Uber to the area of town that opens later with bars and more restaurants. Lots of Ubers avaiable and very affordable so not really an issue.

In addition to perfection, I don't know how to say it. The owner is a pair of elderly parents in their 70s, polite and very happy. I lived for more than ten years before Joburg. I renovated this manor in 2002. It was very beautiful, quiet and comfortable, Umhlanga.

A good place to be with a beautiful view.... ”The View” as its name . Closer to a shopping complex , gas station, 5min drive to the beach, closer to the beach there also restaurantswhere you can dine whole having the beach view, Toti Beach. its also closer to galleria Mall. The place is too steep so be ready for that... Their food is delicious, we had dinner there at their restaurant called Giorgios but its expensive I must say. Not sure about their breakfast and lunch though. Staff and reception is just ok. I had requested them to add a crib bed for a child and upon arrival they told us that the storeroom is closed because we arrived at 6pm so it's too late. We then asked them to give us atleast a bedsheets or any linen so we can make a plan for our son, they said ok but never pitched , nothin, not even getting back to us to say what could be the matter. We asked again the following day, they took four hours to bring a bedsheets. Bottom line is if you have a child do not, I repeat DO NOT book that place because they will lie straight to your face saying they could not reach you since you booked via an APP. I'm not sure whetherI want to talk about their kitchen in the rooms. You will have to call them now and again to bring things and they take 3 to 4hours just for a simple thing like a spoon. One thing I can say is they don't listen and listening means you respect your business and your clients I flew from overseas to rest and have a good time and have treat ourselves since they have a spar but I ended up canceling my plans for a spa because I didn't want additional dissapointments. The rest I don't even want to mention...and that is my experience after paying so much Money and looking forward to a good vacation 😌 BUT...

5 Stars: Absolutely Perfect! We had an incredible stay! The room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the view was absolutely stunning. It truly had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. My only complaint? We didn't book a longer stay! We could have happily spent another week here. Highly recommend this place to anyone—we can't wait to come back!

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch and had a mostly positive experience. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Umhlanga with easy access to everything. The room was lovely and super comfortable, which made for a relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet was amazing,delicious and with plenty of options, which was a great way to start the day. However, the restaurant was way too hot. It felt like everyone was trying to grab a fan, and I honestly think they should either switch on the AC or find a better solution for cooling the space. The pool was nice and well-maintained, and it’s heated, but honestly, it felt a bit strange to swim in a hot pool during summer. I think the heated pool would be much more enjoyable during the cooler months, like in winter. Another downside is that they close the pool way too early….7 pm is pretty unreasonable, especially in a place like Umhlanga where you want to enjoy the evenings. Overall, it’s a good hotel with great amenities, but the restaurant temperature and early pool closure definitely need some attention.

Beautiful place, it is very quiet and peaceful. I loved the sea view😍. The room is very clean and spacious, very friendly staff, always there to help. Breakfast was very delicious, many options to choose from, this guest house is close to many restaurants and party places, this is a huge bonus, very convenient, I highly recommend. Whether you want a peaceful stay of you want to be out and about, this is definitely the right place to book😉❤️

The hotel room wasn’t clean enough,dust on the headboard and table,water dripping from the window of the shower to the room,the tv was not working,the hotel is nicely located and nearby the biggest shopping mall,has nice view,overall the hotel was okay but a little bit of renovations would be nice,if i had to book there again,I’d definitely would.

In Durban, I borrowed a conversion plug and went three times. Initially said no, the second trip still said no, but another waiter said yes, it really did. The third trip is to take a deposit to borrow the plug. The hallways on the first floor are massaged and smell very strong
