"The hotel offers a lot of services which add value to the stay experience. There were self-serve fresh coffee and a variety of herbs/ flower tea selection at the lobby, free laundry services, afternoon high tea and night dessert. We really appreciate passing our clothes which required laundry to the staff and return to collect freshly laundry clothes. The staff is reachable easily via WeChat. They also offer complimentary pick up from the train station. If I really have to pick on something - there is no view in the room I stayed in even though it was bright and spacious. Overall highly recommend a stay."

It's the only hotel in the area with a heated swimming pool, making it perfect for escaping the summer heat in Dali. The hotel offers a free shuttle service, which is super convenient for getting around with luggage. The rooms are spotless, and Butler A-Jun provides excellent, attentive service. All the facilities are well-maintained and easy to use. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, with flavors that are among the best in the vicinity. The cliff-view restaurant offers breathtaking views, and every photo you take here turns out stunning – it's a perfect spot for snapping pictures. You can also book a custom outdoor BBQ, and the atmosphere of grilling with the mountain breeze in the evening is absolutely fantastic. "This stay exceeded my expectations. The lobby was grand and pristine, and the front desk staff were kind and patient, processing my check-in quickly. The room was meticulously cleaned, spotless in every corner, and the bathroom was dry and tidy. The room had good natural light and was very quiet at night. "While Dali boasts a mature scene for B&Bs and boutique hotels, I opted for a chain hotel this time. Pullman is considered one of Dali's flagship hotels (I initially wanted to try the newly opened Dali EDITION, but it wasn't open yet). Overall, the attention to detail was excellent. The hotel is located downtown, right by the濱海大道 (Binhai Avenue), with plenty of dining options nearby. For around 1000 RMB, it includes a mini-bar (though with limited selections) and turndown service. The showerhead faces the wall, which was a nice touch. It also offers free parking and direct elevator access to the lobby – these small details really stood out. Of course, there were a few minor downsides: the bathroom scale needed new batteries, and while breakfast was varied and tasty, there was no host to seat guests. Overall, though, it was very well done. A special mention goes to our butler, Coco, who was incredibly gentle and attentive, and promptly resolved any issues we had. This was a truly memorable trip… I haven't left a review in a long time, but I wanted to share my experience right away."

"The hotel is spotless and incredibly quiet and comfortable. The service was absolutely outstanding! Every staff member was dedicated and super friendly to guests. My child experienced altitude sickness for the first time in Yunnan, and the hotel immediately provided oxygen and even offered to accompany us to the doctor. The breakfast was delicious, and room service was very efficient. I highly, highly recommend this place. Before we left, they even gave a small gift to my child. Seriously, I can't recommend this quality hotel enough; it's truly trustworthy."

"After exploring much of Yunnan, arriving at this B&B in Dali felt like discovering the most meticulously designed place of my entire trip. I had initially shortlisted a few B&Bs online, but ultimately chose to stay within the ancient city rather than by the sea, primarily drawn by its charming courtyard and duplex rooms. To my delight, it exceeded my expectations. The courtyard, though compact, was incredibly serene, and the decor was very tasteful. All the amenities provided were of premium quality. We booked two rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The upstairs room even featured a specially installed electric blind for stargazing. It was evident that the entire B&B had been thoughtfully designed with attention to every detail. The selection of food and beverages provided was also excellent, and they even delivered sweet soup to our rooms in the evening. The breakfast spread was very generous, offering both Chinese and Western options – a definite highlight. However, the taste of the morning rice noodles and Ersi could be improved."

"On my first day in Dali, I checked into the Yueshanhai Hotel, nestled in the mountains near the ancient city. With a gentle drizzle and fresh air, a stroll through the garden was utterly delightful. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, restaurant, cafe, bar, book bar, and even billiards. On the third floor of Building 1, you'll find the Akashima Seaview Bar and the Seaview Book Bar, offering stunning views of the mountains and Erhai Lake. Don't forget to wake up early to catch the sunrise! The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding. The Herbal toiletries and bathtub for a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring are absolutely wonderful! Breakfast, served on the first floor of Building 2 at the Baini Restaurant, offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western options. "Just got back from Dali and stayed here for a few nights – it was genuinely great! Here's my honest review. The hotel has a Bai-style courtyard aesthetic, with white walls, upturned eaves, and a courtyard full of flowers and plants. The environment is quiet and peaceful, and the greenery is meticulously maintained. Sitting in the courtyard is incredibly therapeutic. The location is really convenient. Just a short walk outside leads to the popular '网红公路' (influencer highway). It's a 10-minute drive to Dali Ancient City, and about 20 minutes to the Three Pagodas and Cangshan Mountain. It's also right next to Dali University, so there are tons of snack shops around, and plenty of options for takeout. The amenities are comprehensive, including a swimming pool and a gym. For those driving, there's a free underground parking garage. The breakfast buffet offers both Chinese and Western options, and the taste is decent. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful; they even gave us a free room upgrade. They were also very responsive when we asked for directions or needed anything. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Dali."

"Facilities: Extremely clean and tidy. The lobby is grand, luxurious, and tasteful, not at all tacky, with a very stylish design! Hygiene: The room was spotless, and the bathroom amenities were all very clean. My son had a lovely bath. Service: As a member, I received a complimentary drink upon check-in, and a parting gift upon check-out, which was very thoughtful. We rented a Tesla for our Erhai Lake trip, and there was a fast charging station right next to the hotel, which was incredibly convenient. The hotel also has a great sea-view swimming pool that we didn't have time to use this time, but I'll definitely come back to experience it next time! The room had a long sofa, and as soon as we checked in, my husband and son comfortably stretched out on it. The large terrace offered stunning views. Waking up in bed, you could see Erhai Lake, blue skies, and white clouds – it was truly delightful. Price: Very reasonable. We booked one night for 800 [yuan]. The guesthouse we stayed at a few days prior, though nice, cost 1200 [yuan]. I really think I should have chosen Indigo; the quality, service, and emotional value were all top-notch here."

WWangtiaotiaoSo glad we booked this place instead of one of those family-friendly B&Bs in the village. The facilities are so much better! We even got a free upgrade to the 'Cloud' room. Waking up to such a stunning view every day was a treat, and soaking in the large bathtub while enjoying the scenery was incredibly relaxing! The location is also fantastic – much quieter than S Bay. We could easily stroll around or rent an electric scooter downstairs, and it's super close to Yasheng Coffee. The breakfast spread was generous. They also have a kids' room with building blocks, a mini slide, and picture books, which was perfect for our two-year-old; he didn't want to leave. Plus, even when it rained, we could still have fun by the pool.

Iiris_yy123I used to stay at Anlan in Sanya frequently, and that's when I fell in love with the brand. This time, I decisively booked again, and overall, I'm extremely satisfied! Anlan pays great attention to detail, including airport pick-up and drop-off. The butler will contact you via WeChat in advance. Both the hotel's breakfast and afternoon tea were excellent, showing a lot of care! The hotel has been renovated with wood, so soundproofing isn't the best, but they thoughtfully provide earplugs. The all-female service team is outstanding; they always greet you warmly when you go out, which is very comforting! They provide children's toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers. The 'comfort kit' in the room is super practical and I'm still using the items I took home. I don't know what brand the bedding in the room is, but it's incredibly comfortable!! Even my child was super happy with it!! The only thing that needs improvement is the hotel room's TV. It's too old, has poor clarity, and is incredibly slow to respond. Screen mirroring often freezes, and it takes a good 10 minutes just to exit. I strongly recommend replacing it with a TV that matches the Anlan brand's quality!!!

The room decor is cozy and comfortable, and the courtyard view is very distinctive, making for a relaxing experience. The staff's service attitude was excellent; any needs during our stay were promptly addressed. They even thoughtfully prepared small souvenirs, and during dinner, they gave us a small cow doll, which our child absolutely loved. Overall, it truly lives up to its reputation as one of the top-ranked hotels in Dali Ancient City – the environment, service, and experience are all exceptional. The only minor drawback was that I didn't call ahead to arrange the pick-up/shuttle service. If this could be more proactively offered, the experience would be even more seamless. Nonetheless, I'm very satisfied and would definitely return if I have the chance.

GGuest UserI rarely write reviews, but I simply couldn't resist for this hotel – it's absolutely exceptional in every single aspect. The complimentary airport and train station transfers are a huge plus, and the service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic. They proactively help with all your luggage, big or small. The transfer vehicles are also very comfortable and spotless. Upon check-in, everything in the room is free except for the red wine – instant noodles, drinks, beer, water, coffee, yogurt, and Yunnan black tea are all complimentary. They bring a generous amount of fresh fruit daily, and there's 24-hour rice noodle service, which is a lifesaver for anyone not accustomed to local food; you'll never go hungry. Every evening, there's also tremella soup available. The front desk even has complimentary snacks, fruits, and flower cakes for guests to enjoy. And the room itself? Speechless. The videos and photos on their website are an exact, 1:1 representation of the actual rooms – absolutely no photo trickery. What you see is precisely what you get. The room is impeccably clean, and the array of amenities is extensive. My parents are usually quite picky about hotels, but they absolutely adored this one, praising everything from the room facilities to the balcony views and the spaciousness of the suite. They insisted that on their next trip to Dali, they must stay here again. And most importantly, the staff – from the front desk to the transfer drivers, the F&B team, the ladies who help with luggage, the gentlemen who deliver rice noodles and tremella soup at night, and the three cleaning ladies – everyone is incredibly polite, enthusiastic, and friendly. The owner of this hotel is truly fortunate to have assembled such a fantastic team. The hotel's location, combined with the suite facilities and the wonderful staff, makes for a top-tier experience. I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone visiting Dali *must* stay at this hotel at least once – it's absolutely worth every penny!

AAnonymous User1. **Check-in Area:** The check-in counter, or front desk, was quite shabby. The computer keyboard was practically caked in grime, and don't even get me started on the sofa next to it – it looked very unhygienic. 2. **Dining:** The breakfast area was a bit cramped, with just four small tables by the street. If you're a party of more than two, you'd have to sit separately, or you might even have to stand and wait for a table. The coffee, however, was good. I only had breakfast once: a cold quinoa salad (see Photo 6) served with bread that had an overpowering artificial creamer flavor. I had been looking forward to the rice noodles for the next day, but serving didn't start until 8:30 AM, which was far too late for my rumbling stomach. Early risers and those who prefer hot meals should seriously consider other options or make alternative arrangements. 3. **Room (2nd floor) - Noise Issues:** Don't even think about getting any sleep at night. After 11 PM, there was still noise along the street, along with the clanging of the garbage truck. (Seriously, I'd strongly advise against staying in the Old Town.) The next day, it started pouring before dawn, and the sound of the heavy rain kept me awake as well. 4. **Room - Facility Issues:** The room I stayed in was supposedly the quietest in the entire hotel. It featured a large bathtub and a bathroom where the toilet and shower area lacked wet/dry separation. Unable to deal with the wet floor, I decided to shower in the bathtub. That's when I discovered Problem #1: the glass partition was completely transparent, with no curtain or frosted glass. The staff member claimed this was 'design.' Then came Fatal Problem #2: the bathtub had no running water, haha! 😄 5. **Room - Odor Issues:** Upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. The staff claimed it was due to 'raw wood,' but it's been 8 years and it still smells like that? Quite amusing. 6. **Staff (Pre-Check-in):** Before I even checked in, they asked me to cancel my booking on the platform and pay them privately for a discounted rate. I have this in writing. This is definitely a huge red flag, and I'm surprised they even dared to suggest it. 7. **Staff (General):** The individuals themselves were nice enough, but I was surprised to find that all the 'Jixiashan' staff were quite young, without uniforms, and seemingly without direct supervision, which gave a very disorganized and casual impression. 8. **Housekeeping:** I was quite satisfied with the housekeeping. Seeing the clean duvet and towels gave me peace of mind (P.S. the pillows were also comfortable). The hotel's facilities are very old; no matter how clean the bathroom tiles were, they still looked run-down, compounded by the dim lighting. Therefore, I feel the housekeeping staff here really have a tough job. 9. **Building Structure:** One morning, during a heavy downpour, when I opened my 2nd-floor room door, the entrance was essentially flooded up to my heels. It was quite a feat that the water didn't spread into the room. At night, there were no lights, so I had to grope my way back to the room along the dark corridor. It would be quite difficult for someone who doesn't remember their way (see Photos 1-2). 10. **Hotel Amenities:** One night, I heard the guest next door return, unable to open their door with the key, and had to call a staff member for help. They chatted for a bit outside the door before the staff member finally told the guest a 'trick': 'The key needs to be inserted a certain way, and the lock has a particular mechanism...' That's quite a struggle – needing a special technique just to get back to your room! 11. **Minor Details:** The room key had a very large, bulky leather tag attached to it. Absolutely no consideration for travelers on long journeys with limited luggage space. Who would want to carry such a bulky thing around? I originally had high hopes for the 'Jixiashan' brand. When I was in Shangri-La, I heard their Meili store had a collaboration with Kolon, which made me think they had good taste. This Dali Ancient City location is their first store, but it turned out to be such a low standard. Given the daily rate, I guess I understand why. This particular store cannot be found on 'Jixiashan's' mini-program; it's categorized under 'Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Le'.

HHgeeeyThis B&B has a Mediterranean style and the ambiance is absolutely perfect. The room's interior design is top-notch, and you can enjoy distant views of Erhai Lake. The butler service was incredibly attentive; they offered complimentary pick-up to the hotel, helped with our luggage, and even had an electric cart to take us anywhere in the village. We also received a thoughtful souvenir upon check-out. Breakfast and afternoon tea were both plentiful and delicious. Coming back to Dali after many years, choosing this hotel as our first stop was an excellent decision! ❤️

HHuke_ZBooked this hotel in Dali with my girlfriend. It's located on the hillside right next to Dali Ancient City, so it's quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel grounds are beautiful, almost like a park, with all independent villas. For some of the further rooms, they even offer a shuttle service. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, always smiling and greeting guests, and helped us take our luggage to the room. The room itself was elegantly decorated and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend staying here, and I'll try a different room type next time.
