"When I came to Leshan last year and saw the hotel, I thought I must bring my family to stay here once. We were not disappointed. The hotel is very close to the Big Buddha Scenic Area. It takes more than ten minutes to walk to the entrance. If you don't want to walk, the hotel's battery car can take you to the starting point of the scenic area sightseeing bus. The environment inside and outside the hotel is great, especially suitable for leisure and vacation. Breakfast and afternoon tea are great, but it's a pity that I haven't had time to experience the activities such as copying scriptures and Tai Chi. I will make up for it next time. 😜"

"My first stay at HUALUXE Hotel Leshan was beyond expectations! From the warm reception by Mr. Hu at the front desk, who kindly upgraded us to a room with a minibar, the accommodation was exceptionally quiet—perfect for families with kids. The breakfast spread was a delightful surprise, featuring abundant local Leshan specialties like tofu brain, ka bing (stuffed buns), and both spicy/non-spicy boboji (skewered dishes). A special touch came from Ms. Lucky Mu Jin, who thoughtfully gave our child bread and yogurt. Access to the gym and swimming pool with room card registration was seamless, and the facilities were impeccably clean and well-managed. Every detail reflected genuine care, making this stay highly recommendable!"

"The room was well-equipped, and the bath towels were specially sterilized and individually sealed, ensuring impeccable hygiene. The latex pillows and mattress were extremely comfortable! Despite our late arrival at 10:30 PM, the staff still greeted us warmly. Upon learning that our child enjoys yogurt, they thoughtfully prepared yogurt, fresh welcome fruits, and snacks for us. The breakfast was also quite good, featuring freshly cooked bacon. The beef and pork rib noodles were delicious, and the complimentary fruit tea was very tasty. My only minor suggestion would be if they could offer freshly ground coffee!"

"The hotel is quite new, and the decor is nice, but some of the materials seem to be of lower quality. Many of the bathroom fixtures are from unknown brands. The automatic toilet, in particular, has a lid that doesn't open smoothly, and it only flushes two or three minutes after you leave. Overall, it's still pretty good."

"Visited during the off-season, so the herbal medicine hot springs weren't open. That's a major letdown.
Overall, the service was excellent. They even offer free pick-up and drop-off at the high-speed rail station, and bring milk to your room in the evening – really thoughtful touches. We received unlimited hot spring access for the entire day. It wasn't crowded in the afternoon or evening, though two soaks in one day felt a bit much.
If you're looking for value for money, staying nearby and just doing an afternoon or evening session would be great and perfectly sufficient.
The hotel's internal facilities are very good, but the bathroom was quite damp and had an odor.
Breakfast was excellent, with a standard good variety of options. They even had Emei Mountain's special tofu pudding, though the flavor was a bit mild to suit a wider palate. I'd recommend adding your own salt and MSG; it would taste much better."

"Location: The hotel boasts a fantastic location right by the river within the scenic area, on the same side as the Giant Buddha. There are many hotels along this stretch, but what truly captivated me before booking were the two rows of enormous Ficus trees right outside the entrance – and it certainly didn't disappoint! Waking up around 6 AM, a leisurely stroll under the shade of these trees was simply delightful. Turning left upon exiting leads to Jia Zhou Ferry Terminal and the Leshan Museum, while turning right takes you directly to the Giant Buddha.
Facilities: While not brand new, the facilities are well-maintained, offering good value for money considering the price in a scenic area.
Service: The dedicated electric shuttle service to and from the scenic area is incredibly convenient.
I booked a room with a small garden. One night, a sudden thunderstorm rolled in, and listening to the rain hitting the awning was so incredibly soothing."

"I revisited after six years, and my child is now eight. The service attitude and quality for most facilities are still good, especially the thoughtful uncle at the hot spring pools who offered great guidance. However, the room's amenities are showing their age; the bathroom mirror light is insufficient, and several lamps barely work. The breakfast, in particular, has declined significantly. The difference from before is stark; it used to be excellent in both portion size and taste, but now it's really disappointing. The noodle station is a prime example: tiny portions, and you can no longer add your own toppings. The auntie adds them herself and then serves it. If you ask for more because it's too little, she gives you a reluctant look, and even after adding more, you still have to search hard for the toppings in your noodles. It feels like begging. The hot spring pools weren't warm enough; the indoor wave pool got cold quickly if you stayed in too long, and it was the same for the outdoor pools. You had to rush into a bathrobe immediately after getting out, or you'd easily catch a cold. Aside from the hot springs, there's really nothing competitive left. I won't be staying here again. At this price point, there are simply too many other options."

MM12413****Choosing the Hongzhushan Zen Retreat (also known as Building 7 of Hongzhushan Hotel) for my trip to Mount Emei was the best decision I made, and my parents also had a great stay. We opted for a mountain-view room; the balcony offered a delightful experience with birdsong, though the mountain felt a bit imposing at night. Next time, I might try a pine forest room instead 🤣. The room was spotlessly clean with no hidden corners, and the water pressure was just right. Complimentary mineral water was thoughtfully placed in the hallway for guests to take, which was super convenient. The room also had a capsule coffee machine; enjoying a private hot spring soak daily with a cup of coffee was incredibly comfortable—two days simply weren't enough! Moreover, the butler, a lovely lady, was warm and patient, clearly explaining local dining options and hotel information, and even provided helpful hiking advice that eased my concerns. Our whole family successfully reached the summit and witnessed a breathtaking sea of clouds, making the trip absolutely worthwhile. The breakfast selection was extensive, featuring local Emei Mountain specialties like rice cakes and tofu pudding, which were delicious. Before check-in, a staff member proactively contacted me to inquire if I needed pick-up service. Although I didn't use it, it's a definite plus! Finally, upon departure, I booked a complimentary drop-off service at the front desk. The mini-bus ride to Emei Mountain Station only took 10 minutes. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Mount Emei 😌

The room is spacious enough, well-equipped, and clean. The staff provides excellent service, and the home-style food is delicious. We hiked up to the Golden Summit, took a car back down, and stayed another night. The owner even upgraded our room for free, which made the experience even better! Definitely worth staying again!

Both the guest rooms and public areas were impeccably clean, and the hot spring pools were cleaned in real-time; you could visibly see how clean the water was. The hotel's environment is perfect for a get-together with friends. The hot spring area has beautifully arranged greenery and exclusive rest pavilions. After a soak, sitting in the pavilion with friends, sipping tea, and enjoying the mountain views was incredibly comfortable. The 'Tranquil Slumber' light luxury king room was also tastefully decorated. The minimalist luxury style combined with soft lighting immediately helped us relax. As for the service, the staff were enthusiastic throughout our stay. When we asked for recommendations for nearby food, the front desk even drew us a navigation map for the food street, which was incredibly thoughtful. In terms of facilities, the hot spring amenities were comprehensive. Both the bath towels and bathrobes were disposable, and the mattress and pillows in the room were high-quality. Even the hairdryer was high-powered; the attention to detail was evident everywhere. My friends and I both felt this stay was fantastic, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Emeishan!

GGuest UserThe private bath room on the first floor is suitable for families with children, but the privacy of the private bath is not very good. The balcony of the room on the second floor can directly see downstairs, but there is a big umbrella to cover it, and the bath pool is invisible. It always feels a bit weird. But the children had a lot of fun.
In the Gaoqiaoli scenic area, the hotel's landscaping and green plants are well maintained, and the scenery and environment are very good.
The hotel breakfast is also good. The buffet restaurant is by the lake. You can see black swans and there are many fish in the lake. It's very good.
The hotel butler Zhang Han has a very good service. He has been caring since the check-in. The service is meticulous and considerate. Thumbs up!

AAnonymous UserI've stayed at Hongzhushan Hotel multiple times before and was always very satisfied. The hotel's biggest advantage lies in its natural environment; the forest-like experience is incredibly relaxing. The hot spring facilities and overall atmosphere used to be excellent.
However, this stay was a noticeable step down. The pre-check-in communication and service itself were decent, and the staff were proactive, but the main issues were with the hotel's hardware and maintenance.
I stayed in Building 8 again, which was advertised as 'newly renovated,' but the actual experience was disappointing. The room's facilities and layout showed almost no significant changes. Many details made me clearly recall how it looked when I stayed twenty years ago, especially the long bench in the room, which was almost identical. It's hard to call it a true renovation.
The hot spring experience was equally disappointing. Firstly, the changing rooms and shower areas were unhygienic, with many details lacking proper cleaning and maintenance. Secondly, several hot spring pools were out of order due to maintenance. Additionally, the water quality was quite noticeably poor, with many black suspended particles visible in the pool water, affecting the overall appearance and experience.
Even more unacceptable was the use of artificial fragrances in some hot spring pools. The fragrance packaging was simply left in the trash cans next to the pools, visible to the naked eye. This practice not only detracts from the experience but also raises concerns about water quality and management standards.
Overall, this stay no longer felt like the Hongzhushan Hotel I remembered, which was known for its environmental advantages. Instead, it came across as an aging, poorly maintained, declining old hotel that lacks continuous investment. There's a clear sense of decay, making it hard to associate it with the Hongzhushan Hotel of yesteryear.

The only downside is the long queues – why so much waiting?! The Chinese restaurant is also great! Seriously, everything in Emei Mountain tastes amazing.
The front desk service, especially the first person I encountered, was very lively and engaging. Housekeeping was a bit slow, so I'm docking half a point for that. The bellboy was also excellent!
Overall, it was a very good stay.
It's a shame that for us 'poor souls' (referring to himself jokingly as a 'workhorse'), New Year's prices at 1288 RMB were a bit steep 😭. It would be much more reasonable at a few hundred RMB during off-peak times, haha.

MM346313****Before coming, I did some research online. Since I was traveling with my child and family to a parent-child hotel, I was debating between Le Méridien and Wulan. I had stayed at [previous hotel name - please insert if available] before.
**Service**: The day before check-in, a dedicated butler added me on WeChat to communicate and provide information. They made every effort to accommodate my requests.
**Environment**: The hotel grounds are huge, with beautiful greenery. You'll need to use the shuttle bus to get around; just wave it down by the roadside, or you can call to arrange a pickup.
**Activities**: Many families with children stay on weekends, and there are various activities scheduled throughout the day, both indoor and outdoor. Our child is still quite young, so they loved playing in the sandpit and the indoor playground. Older kids would have even more fun, and you wouldn't even need to leave the hotel.
Because of all the greenery, there are quite a few mosquitoes, so be sure to take precautions. The hotel also provides mosquito repellent and bug spray.
Overall, if you're traveling with kids, you can go for it without hesitation; you won't be disappointed. Adults can relax, and the kids will have a blast.

11367100****During the Golden Week holiday, we chose this hotel for our trip to Mount Emei, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The hotel felt very established and comfortable. We were so satisfied that we'd definitely choose a Zhizhu hotel again, whether in Emei or another city.
We booked a Deluxe Lake View Twin Room: The room was spacious, the bedding was very comfortable, and the private hot tub on the balcony with a beautiful lake view was a highlight. From the balcony, you could also see the Pavilion of Ten Thousand Buddhas on Mount Emei in the distance, and if the weather was clear, you could even catch the sunrise. Upon entering, we were greeted with a generous welcome fruit platter. The 9th-floor restaurant offered a complimentary afternoon tea (which could also be delivered to the room) with stunning lake views, adding a nice touch to the experience. The room's decor really set a perfect vacation mood. The only minor drawback was the hotel breakfast, which was quite ordinary, with too many pre-made items, such as the main dishes and noodle toppings.

GGuest UserGreat service from all the staff here, who took good care of our needs during our stay. The free transfer from train station to the hotel is convenient. Special mention to Mr Li, the manager of the hotel, who was easy to deal with, and he tried his best to resolve issues during our stay.
The hotel is renovated within last few years, looks good, is clean, but the functionality of the rooms is not as well designed as it could have been. Having said that, it was overall a pleasant stay.
Location of the hotel is within a short walking distance to the Tourist Centre to enter Emeishan, and is situated right next to the river. Restaurant options nearby are limited however, and many not opened, perhaps due to current low season for tourists. Hotel breakfast is descent with reasonable range of food to choose from.
