Hotel near Sankong Scenic Area (Kong Family Mansion/Temple of Confucius/Cemetery of Confucius),Qufu
The hotel is located within the Qufu Ancient City, adjacent to the Confucius Mansion and Confucius Temple, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which are just a 6–10 minute walk away. All first-floor rooms feature private courtyards, while all second-floor rooms come with viewing balconies, and some guest rooms offer direct views of the Confucius Temple. Built in a traditional courtyard architectural style, the hotel incorporates rich cultural elements including multiple water features, an openwork ginkgo tree design in the lobby, and themed relief sculptures. The hotel houses JW Kitchen, an all-day dining restaurant serving buffet with local Qufu specialties; Zouyuan Confucius Mansion Cuisine Restaurant, offering authentic traditional Confucius Mansion dishes and Shandong cuisine; Jiamu Hall Teahouse, an independent tea-tasting area; and the Lobby Bar, providing delicate Chinese-style afternoon tea. It is equipped with comprehensive leisure and recreational facilities, including a constant-temperature indoor swimming pool with a domed natural skylight, aerobic fitness facilities, as well as cultural experiences such as the traditional Chinese First Writing Ceremony for children, Six Arts parent-child activities, and stone-milled tofu making. An ideal choice for both business travelers and leisure tourists alike.

"The room was fantastic, a cozy two-story layout with a balcony! We were able to experience the charm of Confucian culture up close (it's very close to the 'Three孔' scenic area). Our family excitedly discussed the Analects, believing that in such a quiet and harmonious environment, Confucius himself would surely feel our presence. The experience was unparalleled! We also felt the meticulous and thoughtful assistance from Marriott's front desk staff, Xiao Qian and Xiao Hong, who are from the birthplace of Confucianism. They helped me mail documents and even sent back my child's pants that were left behind after we checked out! I'm not sure if 'Marriott' (万豪) derives its '万' from the 'wan ren gong qiang' (万仞宫墙 - ten-thousand-foot palace wall) and its '豪' from the 'hao jie' (豪杰 - heroes) who have bowed down for centuries, but I do know that 'green hair' (绿发 - *possibly a playful or inside reference, hard to translate directly without context, so kept as is*) hides the promise of our family's next spontaneous journey!"

"It was pretty good. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very close to the scenic area, only a five-minute drive away. We had lunch directly at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, where they also introduced the Confucius Family Cuisine, which was great value for money. We had elderly people and children with us, and they kindly extended our check-out by half an hour, which was very considerate. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out, which was a nice touch."

Hotel near Nishan Sacredland,Qufu
The Nishan Akademia is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Nishan Akademia offers a pleasant stay in Qufu for those traveling for business or leisure. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 12km from Sishuinan Railway Station and 48km from Jining Da'an Airport. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Nishan Academy Baihua Valley, Fuzi Cave and Nishan Confucius Temple - Entrance all nearby. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, our guests have told us that this location is excellent. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"I highly recommend the Nishan Academy Hotel. It's a garden-style hotel with a shuttle service from the front desk to the rooms. They also offer shuttle buses to Nishan Sacredland and Luyuan Village. The breakfast is high quality. I suggest staying two nights to have a more relaxed experience. Generally, a butler will add you on WeChat and respond promptly to your needs. We stayed in a mountain-view garden room, and the window view was beautiful. On a rainy day, looking out at Nishan shrouded in mist, my child said, 'It reminds me of a poem: 'Where white clouds gather, there are homes.' The mountain-view garden twin rooms cannot be combined (there's a hanging nightstand in the middle that can't be moved). If you're worried about children falling off the bed, you can use a large chair to push against the side of the bed. I heard that the twin beds in the villas can be combined, but with one room and one small courtyard, ordering two rooms for our trip felt less convenient with two separate courtyards, and it was also more expensive. I really liked the breakfast at Nishan Academy Hotel and their Yatang Chinese restaurant; I found them more palatable than places in Qufu city. I recommend checking room types and offerings on multiple platforms and the hotel's official WeChat account. I prefer the 'room + breakfast for two' package and not the ones that include tickets. Although Nishan Sacredland and Luyuan Village are quite large and commuting can be inconvenient, the complimentary dual-park tickets (usually valid for 2 days, with two entries to Nishan Sacredland and one to Luyuan Village) were generally sufficient. However, unlimited entry tickets offer more peace of mind, and more importantly, they aren't expensive."

"This hotel is arguably the closest to the Confucius Temple. It's just a two or three-minute walk to the Wall of Ten Thousand Ren (Wanren Gongqiang). I managed to catch the closing ceremony in the evening, followed by the light show at night, and then the opening ceremony the next morning. The courtyard environment is beautiful, with little rabbits and cats, and lots of flowers and plants. The room itself was very spacious. I booked a twin room but actually got a two-story loft, with traditional large wooden doors – it was a really unique experience. The service was warm and attentive. They offered snacks and a gift upon check-in, and brought yogurt in the evening. Breakfast was generous with a good variety. I also had lunch here; both the Qilin Yushu and the stir-fried pork were delicious. They even gave me a ruler as a souvenir when I checked out, which I carried all the way home!"

"During the National Day holiday, I visited Luyuan Village and chose the Luyuan Hotel. The experience far exceeded my expectations! I especially want to praise our housekeeper, Zhang Shengnan, who proactively contacted us before our stay and provided warm and attentive service throughout. She was always smiling and introduced us to the village's attractions like a friend. She also offered to help with our luggage both during check-in and check-out, making us feel incredibly warm and at home. Taxiing from the high-speed rail station to the Nishan Visitor Center is easy, costing about 33 yuan. After checking in, the staff will guide you to your room via a shuttle bus. We stayed in room 12206 of Tianqiaoju, on the second floor. The view from the window was beautiful, and the lights were even more stunning at night. The hotel's breakfast was also exceptional, with delicious Shandong pancakes and steamed buns. After check-out, they even let us store our luggage for free, allowing us to continue exploring the village. The kids had a blast here, and our whole family was delighted. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again on our next trip!"
