The environment, location, and exclusive experiences are all top-notch. Even without entering the Slender West Lake scenic area, staying here allows you to enjoy a private part of the lake's scenery. It offers both great value for money and a relaxing atmosphere. **I. Irreplaceable Location Advantage** The hotel is separated from Slender West Lake by a body of water and features an exclusive express通道 for guests. You don't have to queue at the main scenic area entrance; you can walk directly to the core area by the lake. Building No. 1, Shoufanyuan, where we stayed, is the closest building to Slender West Lake in the entire hotel. From the room window, you can see a small patch of lake view with weeping willows, enjoying the scenery of Slender West Lake without even leaving your room. Additionally, Building No. 1 is only a 2-minute walk from the Black Pearl-rated Qüyuan Teahouse, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy authentic Yangzhou morning tea without a long trek through the park. **II. Exclusive Features and Immersive Ambiance** 1. **Commemorative Souvenirs:** You can get exclusive hotel postcards at the front desk, and there are several spots within the garden where you can stamp them as a souvenir. You can also get a custom room key card, which makes for a meaningful travel keepsake. 2. **Explore the Expansive Gardens:** The entire guesthouse is filled with pavilions, waterside terraces, rockeries, and long corridors, with lush greenery everywhere. Every step offers a new view, and you won't get tired even after strolling for half a day. The internal scenery is as exquisite as that of paid gardens. If you get tired of walking in the vast park, you can call for a free shuttle at any time. 3. **Weekend Intangible Cultural Heritage Performances:** On weekends, there are intangible cultural heritage mini-theaters, where you can watch Yangzhou's intangible cultural heritage puppet shows and folk music performances without having to leave the hotel. **III. Living Experience in Building No. 1 (Pros and Cons of the 'Old Cadre Style' Building)** **Pros:** 1. **Rich Historical Heritage:** In its early years, it was exclusively used for official government receptions, showcasing a classic 'old cadre' Chinese style. The solid wood furniture and sophisticated aesthetic are timeless and enduring, looking far from cheap. 2. **Waterside Location:** Surrounded by lush vegetation, the building offers maximum privacy and tranquility, with almost no noise from crowds. 3. **Well-Maintained Rooms:** Although it's an older building, the overall condition isn't outdated. The space is generous, and the bedding and soft furnishings are meticulously maintained. **Sole Drawback:** The bathroom hardware has a noticeable drawback: the shower pressure is low, and the water flow is weak, making for a mediocre experience when washing hair or showering. **IV. Overall Summary** There's a good reason why Yingbinguan consistently receives rave reviews: it boasts private views of Slender West Lake, its own Black Pearl-rated morning tea, vast garden grounds, unique commemorative souvenirs, and a full range of leisure activities. If you prefer a tranquil, retro atmosphere and want to experience the quality of a traditional state guesthouse, Building No. 1 is an excellent choice. The only thing you'll need to adapt to is the low shower pressure. If you're looking for brand-new modern facilities, consider buildings No. 8 or No. 18. For our trip, having already visited Slender West Lake, staying here meant we didn't need to re-enter the scenic area. We could enjoy a comparable lake and garden experience right within the hotel, perfectly meeting our need for a relaxed vacation."

"Let's start with the downsides: Since the family room can accommodate three adults, there should be three sets of towels, bath towels, tooth mugs, drinking glasses, and coffee cups, not just two. Even children or teenagers need their own bath towel and tooth mug. Also, the curtain button was sometimes a bit unresponsive. Now for the positives: 1. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere. You can walk to the South Gate of Slender West Lake, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. 2. The breakfast was good; while not exceptionally lavish, it had everything you'd expect. The coffee came from a machine and tasted great. 3. The terraces on four of the floors are a major highlight! Breakfast is on the 11th floor (top floor), and on a nice day, you can dine on the terrace, enjoying the lush forest view and a distant glimpse of the Qiling Pagoda while being shielded from the sun – a fantastic experience. You can also enjoy the night view in the evening. 4. The hairdryer is a Dyson, and in the lobby downstairs, there's a coffee machine, tea, hot water, and bottled water available."

"It was my child's birthday on our first day, and Emma, the Guest Relations Manager, helped us decorate the room in advance and booked the Shang Palace restaurant on the first floor for us, even sending over a cake. It was incredibly thoughtful, and my child had a wonderful birthday. We booked a suite, and both my parents and child loved the room. The view was excellent, the room was clean and well-arranged, and it had all the amenities, including room service. My parents said it was the best hotel we've ever stayed in, and my child didn't want to go home, wishing they could just stay at the hotel every day."

"The location is superb, just a 5-minute walk to Dongguan Street, and directly opposite the hotel is the ancient Grand Canal, offering beautiful surroundings and rich historical charm. All hotel staff are incredibly enthusiastic and the service is excellent. The hotel facilities are very modern, making you feel cozy and at home. The breakfast is abundant and delicious. Most importantly, after inquiring at the front desk about a room with a river view, the hotel manager learned of my request and upgraded my room directly. The service was exceptional, and the room arrangements were perfect."

The front desk staff, Amber, Freya, and Eva, provided meticulous and attentive service, and you could feel their genuine sincerity in every interaction. The team in red, Lucia, Scarlett, and Alice, were caring and detail-oriented. The concierges, Chris and Noa, were courteous and polite, offering highly professional city information. The room was spotlessly clean, and all the facilities were complete and functional. The public areas were clean and elegant. There was no excessive formality, which made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Both the value for money and the overall experience were excellent. I'm extremely satisfied and it truly deserves five stars! I will definitely come back again."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right across the street from the East Gate of Slender West Lake, which is incredibly convenient. It's designed in a garden style, and both the environment and rooms are very comfortable. They even have a swimming pool and animals, which the kids absolutely loved. Strolling around the resort in the morning, enjoying the garden scenery, and feeding the koi and swans by the lake with my child was incredibly pleasant and relaxing."

"The location is fantastic, right next to the south entrance of Slender West Lake. You can step out and immediately take a boat tour of the lake. There's Yechun Teahouse nearby for breakfast, a Ruixing Coffee, and a Shizu Supermarket (which sells Yangda yogurt). If you want to go to Quyuan, you can call for a shuttle from a number on a fence diagonally opposite the hotel's parking lot. Basically, everything is conveniently close by. The hotel also has its own parking lot with fast chargers. The decor is stylish, and the room is cozy with a small balcony. It was a bit too hot to enjoy it fully, but it would be lovely to have a cup of tea out there in spring or autumn."

"Experience a private hot spring, rich in metasilicic acid and lithium, exclusively at this hotel. It seems to be the only one around Yangzhou Slender West Lake that offers private hot springs. The hot spring was incredibly relaxing. The first round of the minibar included Coke, Sprite, and Fanta. The hotel's location is excellent, with the East Gate of Slender West Lake within walking distance. There are also many restaurants nearby, so you can easily find options for both breakfast and dinner."

"I brought my parents to Yangzhou this time and chose the two-bedroom courtyard at Bingou Hotel B&B. The overall experience exceeded my expectations and I was very satisfied. The environment is elegant, with its own private courtyard, and the layout of the courtyard creates a great atmosphere – a quiet oasis in a bustling area. The room's cleanliness was impeccable, and they even asked in advance if we wanted housekeeping during our extended stay. The amenities were complete; the slippers weren't those flimsy disposable ones, but comfortable, making my elderly parents very happy. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful throughout; any request was promptly addressed. They even delivered takeout orders to our room and offered complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea. The B&B package included a free photoshoot with 5 pictures. We took dozens of indoor and outdoor shots to choose from. The photographer brought props and guided our poses, resulting in many great photos. The location is a definite plus. Right outside the B&B, there's a foot massage parlor, and across the street is Pishi Street. All the restaurants we picked, including Huaiyang cuisine, dim sum, hotpot, and desserts, were within a 15-minute walk. Getting to popular attractions and sights by taxi usually took about ten minutes. The two-bedroom courtyard offers spacious accommodation. Compared to a standard hotel family room, here a family can stay in connecting rooms, allowing for privacy while still being close. It's very convenient for travel and living, highly recommended for families traveling together."

They helped us with our luggage, and since we drove, they even offered to charge our car and wash it, which was really thoughtful. We brought our baby, and they gave her little toys twice – my baby absolutely loved the ladies at the front desk. When we checked out, they even gave us a souvenir! This trip was delightful, and it's my first time ever leaving a hotel a good review! Highly recommend!"
