"Overall: Felt right at home, beautiful environment. We arrived quite late and looked at rooms in Building 8, Building 18, and Building 2. We ultimately chose Building 2. Building 8 was very new, but the remaining rooms didn't have much of a view. Building 18 felt like a typical star-rated hotel with a high room density, which didn't fit our idea of a garden-style hotel and lacked unique character. Building 2 was charmingly antique. After its renovation in 2025, it retained its pavilion and pagoda style. The balcony was the highlight – the greenery and sunlight pouring in during the day were so therapeutic. Personally, even though it was the lowest-priced among the three buildings, I felt it offered the best rooms. I really loved the staff; everyone was incredibly warm and friendly. The shuttle service was available on demand. We decided to skip our planned trip to Nanjing and extend our stay by a day after arriving."

"The lobby of the Yangzhou Slender West Lake Junting Hotel has an antique charm that perfectly matches the ancient city's style. The location is superb; the moat is right across the street, and Ge Garden is only about 1 kilometer away. Slender West Lake is less than 1 kilometer, making it incredibly convenient. Breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes with local specialties. For our family room, there were two large beds. Room facilities and view are excellent, with a nice view outside the window. The smart toilet even comes with a remote control. Parking is available in a dedicated parking lot. Service: The booking included breakfast for four people, but only three of us arrived. They actually refunded the cost of one breakfast, which was a very pleasant surprise – highly recommend! "In the beautiful month of March, as spring breezes filled the air, the Shangri-La Hotel Yangzhou perfectly embodied this delightful essence through its elegant environment, immaculate facilities, Michelin-starred dining, and attentive service. I particularly want to commend the hotel's comprehensive and thoughtful services. Staying for a week with my elderly parents, the handsome young man at the front desk kindly upgraded us to two lake-view rooms for free, instantly enhancing our mood and the scenic view from our accommodation. When entering and exiting the hotel, the doormen in the lobby were polite and courteous, helping with luggage, opening car doors, and reminding my parents to watch their step, all with a warm, spring-like smile. The waitresses at the buffet breakfast were always beaming, guiding us to our seats and even remembering our different preferences for coffee and tea. What touched us most was the housekeeper, Chen Xiuhong. She meticulously arranged every small request from my parents with great care. She was keenly observant of our habits while tidying the room, proactively providing extra bottles of mineral water for my parents to make tea, changing bed linens, arranging fresh fruits, and adding extra tissues and disposable slippers, all to enhance our comfort. For instance, when my father needed a hole punched in his new belt and was at a loss, Chen Xiuhong found out. She patiently consulted with electrician Master Yang, and together they came to our room with tools to perfectly solve the problem for my father (I captured this moment in Picture 3). Chen Xiuhong's humility, politeness, and excellent professionalism were truly admirable and touching; she elevated an ordinary job to an extraordinary level! Of course, we did encounter one minor unpleasantness during our stay. My parents needed a disposable paper cup to mix their powdered medicine (to avoid staining the room's glasses). On the evening of the 28th, when we inquired at the front desk, a short-haired woman in a red uniform on duty replied, ”There are no paper cups here!” She then pointed to the lobby coffee bar and said, ”You can ask over there; they might have non-disposable cups!” We were somewhat disappointed by her evasiveness and perfunctory response. Although it was a trivial matter, it felt a bit distant from Shangri-La's ethos of 'hospitality from the heart.' Nevertheless, our week at the hotel was overwhelmingly filled with warmth and assistance. We will always look back fondly and be grateful for the wonderful people and experiences."

"The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw away from Dongguan Street and Dongguan Ferry. The facilities are relatively new, making it a great value-for-money option. More importantly, the hotel staff, from the lobby manager to the front desk receptionists and even the doorman, are all incredibly polite. Their recommendations for restaurants and tourist attractions were spot on, with no duds. So, I'd give the hotel itself 4 stars, and an extra star for the amazing service, making it a total of 5 stars."

"I extended my stay for another night due to the typhoon, and it was an incredibly warm and thoughtful experience. The front desk staff, Amber, Freya, and Eva, provided meticulous and attentive service, and you could feel their genuine sincerity in every interaction. The team in red, Lucia, Scarlett, and Alice, were caring and detail-oriented. The concierges, Chris and Noa, were courteous and polite, offering highly professional city information. The room was spotlessly clean, and all the facilities were complete and functional. The public areas were clean and elegant. There was no excessive formality, which made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Both the value for money and the overall experience were excellent. I'm extremely satisfied and it truly deserves five stars! I will definitely come back again."

"Choosing this resort for our Yangzhou vacation was such a wise decision! The hotel is a classic Jiangnan-style garden courtyard, with pavilions and bamboo groves offering a beautiful view at every turn. It's a tranquil oasis in the bustling city, directly opposite the east gate of Slender West Lake, so sightseeing is a breeze. It's also very close to Quyuan for morning tea. The main highlight is the natural lithium hot springs. The water is wonderfully warm and gentle. The public area boasts over 40 different pools, with rose and traditional Chinese medicine pools tucked amidst lush greenery. In the evening, when the lights come on and the steam rises, it's incredibly therapeutic. The rooms with private courtyard hot springs offer an even better experience – you can relax in the springs without leaving your room. The changing rooms are well-equipped, even featuring Dyson hair dryers, and the hygiene is impeccable. The service was excellent throughout our stay. Our dedicated butler was responsive, and we also enjoyed complimentary Hanfu experiences, a garden train ride, and feeding cute animals. Kids could easily spend the whole day entertained; the family-friendly amenities are comprehensive. The only minor drawback is that some rooms in the main building are a bit dated, so I'd prioritize booking a room with a private courtyard hot spring. Spending the day exploring Slender West Lake and then unwinding in the hot springs in the evening was a perfect one-stop vacation experience, ideal for families and couples alike."

"The location is fantastic, right next to the south entrance of Slender West Lake. You can step out and immediately take a boat tour of the lake. There's Yechun Teahouse nearby for breakfast, a Ruixing Coffee, and a Shizu Supermarket (which sells Yangda yogurt). If you want to go to Quyuan, you can call for a shuttle from a number on a fence diagonally opposite the hotel's parking lot. Basically, everything is conveniently close by. The hotel also has its own parking lot with fast chargers. The decor is stylish, and the room is cozy with a small balcony. It was a bit too hot to enjoy it fully, but it would be lovely to have a cup of tea out there in spring or autumn."

"A top-rated stay! My trip to Yangzhou ended perfectly, and from the moment I checked in, I experienced incredibly thoughtful service. The lobby manager, butler, and staff made me feel right at home, offering a wonderful blend of hospitality and freedom. Located right by Slender West Lake, the hotel had everything for dining, entertainment, and relaxation. The most pleasant surprise was the metasilicic acid hot spring – its skin-rejuvenating effects were amazing and left me feeling nourished and radiant. A must-try!"

"I brought my parents to Yangzhou this time and chose the two-bedroom courtyard at Bingou Hotel B&B. The overall experience exceeded my expectations and I was very satisfied. The environment is elegant, with its own private courtyard, and the layout of the courtyard creates a great atmosphere – a quiet oasis in a bustling area. The room's cleanliness was impeccable, and they even asked in advance if we wanted housekeeping during our extended stay. The amenities were complete; the slippers weren't those flimsy disposable ones, but comfortable, making my elderly parents very happy. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful throughout; any request was promptly addressed. They even delivered takeout orders to our room and offered complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea. The B&B package included a free photoshoot with 5 pictures. We took dozens of indoor and outdoor shots to choose from. The photographer brought props and guided our poses, resulting in many great photos. The location is a definite plus. Right outside the B&B, there's a foot massage parlor, and across the street is Pishi Street. All the restaurants we picked, including Huaiyang cuisine, dim sum, hotpot, and desserts, were within a 15-minute walk. Getting to popular attractions and sights by taxi usually took about ten minutes. The two-bedroom courtyard offers spacious accommodation. Compared to a standard hotel family room, here a family can stay in connecting rooms, allowing for privacy while still being close. It's very convenient for travel and living, highly recommended for families traveling together."

"From check-in to check-out, the hotel's service was truly excellent. They helped us with our luggage, and since we drove, they even offered to charge our car and wash it, which was really thoughtful. We brought our baby, and they gave her little toys twice – my baby absolutely loved the ladies at the front desk. When we checked out, they even gave us a souvenir! This trip was delightful, and it's my first time ever leaving a hotel a good review! Highly recommend!"
