Perfectly located in the heart of Cairo, our hotel offers breathtaking views directly over the majestic Nile River. Just minutes away, guests can explore iconic cultural and historic landmarks such as The Egyptian Museum and the Cairo Opera House, both within two kilometers. Designed for both leisure and business travelers, we feature versatile event spaces and exceptional dining experiences — from our floating restaurant aboard the Marquise cruise boat to the city’s only revolving restaurant with panoramic skyline views. Please note, our property is an alcohol-free hotel, ensuring a family-friendly and serene atmosphere.

"Decent hotel always very busy due to competitive pricing. Many rooms have lovely river views as its one of the very few hotels with no road inbetween. However, this location also leaves it a taxi rather than walk to anything around it, local shops, cafes, bars etc. Overall the place is comfortable with a good standard of service. Our biggest disapointment was the hotel food, average at best and USD20pp for a not great buffet breakfast, we only tried it once!"

Located on the Nile Promenade, Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile is a unique jewel in the heart of the capital, where Egyptian heritage meets French elegance. For a relaxing escape at our holistic leisure destination, dine at our four restaurants, unwind in the 1,000sqm Sofitel Spa and book a cabana with direct pool access.

"Lovely hotel in a prime location on the Nile. Our room had a lovely view of the Nile and the pool area. The room was modern and had all the amenities you would need including some luxury Byredo toiletries which were a nice touch. Though it’s a newly renovated hotel, the downside was that our non-smoking room had an unusual smell in it and also upon check in, the entire carpet was wet. The breakfast buffet was good although some items were a bit stale by 8am (pancakes in particular) which could’ve been better if fresh. There was no room service options from your room so we tried the restaurants but wouldn’t really recommend. We tried Kamala which is a pan-Asian fusion and though we were the only guests dining, the food took over an hour to make and wasn’t the best. The Solano restaurant again was okay, much fresher than Kamala. Would recommend the hotel for its location however the reception can get really busy and the staff could do with being more attentive to the guests they’re serving rather than those impatiently interrupting."

"The hotel's location is right by the Nile, which is great for enjoying river views during breakfast. Other than that, the location doesn't really offer any advantages. **Hygiene**: This is where I have to complain. The chairs and table on the balcony were covered in dust, and the carpet had a slight, localized foot odor (which I noticed when I squatted down to pack my luggage). **Facilities**: Quite old-fashioned, like those outdated 4- or 5-star hotels in China from ten years ago. There were no toothbrushes or combs. Also, no disposable bath bags for the bathtub, and the hairdryer was really poor. **Service**: Thankfully, the service was warm and attentive. Overall, I paid a four-figure price for an old 5-star hotel that felt more like a guesthouse in terms of amenities. It didn't feel worth the price; for a bit less, I could have just booked a guesthouse with character, or for a bit more, I could have stayed at a much better hotel. Oh, and the pool-facing room was noisy if you didn't close the door, as it faced the road."

"The duvet was badly pilled. The hardware was decent, but it's clearly not a new hotel; it looks like an older one that's been renovated. I was misled by the 'opened in 2025' claim. The public areas are nice, and the room is quite spacious. However, when checking in, the staff at the hotel entrance didn't even offer to help with my luggage."

"The room was a bit small, and there was a strange smell coming from one side of the bed, though I couldn't pinpoint the source. The shower knob was incredibly stiff; I had to use all my strength just to turn it on. The worst part was check-in. After a 10-hour flight, I arrived at the hotel around 1 PM, only to be told the room wasn't ready and I'd have to wait 45 minutes. So I waited. An hour later, I checked again, and it still wasn't ready. Another 30 minutes went by, and when I inquired again, I was told it still wasn't ready. Meanwhile, other guests were checking in at the front desk, and none of them seemed to be waiting. It wasn't until past 3 PM, on my fourth attempt, that the front desk initially told me to wait again. I then mentioned that the lobby air conditioning was too cold and I wasn't feeling well. Only then did the front desk say 'Okay...' and promptly made our room cards. It really felt like they had rooms available but just weren't giving them out... The bed and pillows were good; I slept very well for both nights. However, there was always a loud noise in the middle of the night... It sounded like huge pipes or some machinery running. The room came with a universal adapter, which was a thoughtful touch."

"Started renovating the hotel so after a little-while it will be great hotel. Mr. Samual at the reception was very helpful. Manager at the lobby bar was rude and asked me leave the table if I have finished the coffee, at 10PM on 17th July. I was enjoying the live music but he ruined."

GGuest UserThe hotel is quite new, and the breakfast selection is good. Its location is very convenient, offering quick access to the airport via a sky bridge, which is why many flight attendants stay here. The facilities are comprehensive and spotlessly clean. However, the 1 PM closing time for both the Chinese and Lebanese restaurants wasn't ideal; it was quite awkward when I brought friends over, only to find both establishments already closed. Otherwise, a positive experience.

VVon30Stayed for 4 nights. Upon check-in I asked the man at the reception if anything else was needed as normally a deposit would be taken. Was told that everything was fine. On the 2nd night we decided to have dinner at the restaurant at the lobby. Food was not prepared as I requested as I ordered steak. The waiter insisted that I sliced through the middle to check it as I ordered medium rare. He agreed that it was overcooked. Took it back and said that they would prepare another order. However, 5minutes later he sent the same steak back to me and mentioned that they checked under proper lighting and it was cooked properly. It was very obvious that it was definitely overcooked and dry. I just accepted it and couldn’t be bothered. Mind you the fries that came with the steak was over fried and hard as rock. I didn’t even eat another piece after trying it. Halfway through chewing on the hard and dry steak. The waiter decided to come back again and ask if everything was fine and if I didn’t like it they could cook me another piece. This was just frustrating and I didn’t want to wait anymore as it was late and I was tired from a full day tour. Finally finished my dinner and asked for the bill. I signed it to the room. The waiter comes back and tells me that I didn’t put a deposit in the room so I had to pay. Mind you I brought no cards or cash since I expected that I could bill to the room. One of us ended up going back to the room to take money to pay for the meal which was embarrassing and unacceptable for our standards. We were staying for 4 nights. On our last night of stay, we came back to the hotel and we were locked out of the room. Had to go back to reception and found out that the person who checked us in didn’t put the correct number of nights. This was truly a disgrace on Waldorf and the receptionist.  Obviously your staff at the check in need more training. I have stayed in many international hotels around the world and never face such lowly trained staff at reception that make such mistakes which spoils the image of the hotel.  However, I have to give a huge shoutout to a few people that made my days great. Menna and Apeeo from breakfast were wonderful. Impeccable service from them. However, male staffs showed poor knowledge and were quite lazy as they were more interested in chatting that serving customers. Bellman Sherif was wonderful helping us check out with our luggages and even waited with us for our transport.

KKim WnagOur stay at The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo was nothing short of unforgettable — an experience that felt less like checking into a hotel and more like stepping into a world of genuine care and effortless luxury. From the very first moment, the reception staff welcomed us with warmth and grace, guiding us not just through the check-in process, but through the very heart of Cairo itself. Their thoughtful recommendations and attentive guidance turned our trip into something so much more than a vacation — they made it feel like a homecoming in a city we had just met. The rooms were immaculate, the amenities refined, and the service nothing less than flawless. Every corner of the property seemed to carry with it a sense of elegance, yet what truly elevated our stay was the spirit of the people working there. Breakfast each morning was a celebration. The food was fresh, abundant, and delicious, but it was the serving staff who transformed it into something memorable. With kindness in every gesture and attentiveness in every moment, they anticipated our needs before we could even ask. The way they greeted us with smiles, remembered our preferences, and treated us with genuine care turned a simple meal into a highlight of our day. The Nile Ritz-Carlton is not just a hotel — it is an orchestra of hospitality, with every member of staff playing their part to perfection. To the reception team who guided us, and the breakfast staff who brightened our mornings, thank you for showing us what true hospitality means. This is more than a place to stay; it is an experience that lingers long after you’ve left, and one we can’t wait to return to.

YYihaofeng1. The hotel provides free airport pick-up and drop-off services, which are divided into two types: one is a chartered car and the other is a shuttle bus. In fact, the shuttle bus is also equivalent to a chartered car. Our family of three did not share the round trip with others; 2. The hotel is like two different worlds. I feel very safe in the hotel. All the tours are registered in the hotel. Although there are some self-funded projects (camel riding at the pyramids, 10 dollars/person), I personally think it is worth it. In addition, the tour guide will ask you for a tip, but you don’t have to give it. If you can’t save face at the time, just tell the person who made the reservation after returning to the hotel, and it will be returned. 3. The hotel breakfast is great and very rich. My parents are used to it. Breakfast is the most abundant meal of the day. 4. There is a famous Chinese restaurant in Cairo in the hotel, right next to the front desk, open from 15:00 to 24:00, the food is quite good; 5. The hotel has a swimming pool and a gym, which makes it convenient for everyone to stay in shape.

__WeChat241283****I caught the early flight to the airport. I had a few simple breakfasts and went to the lobby. After waiting for the arrival of the shuttle bus, I found that I accidentally left the passport bag and there was cash in the restaurant bag. After a while, the staff helped me deliver it very much. But later, when I got off the plane and exchanged money, I found that the cash inside must have lost the cash banknote of 250💶. The whole passport bag in Egypt was with me all the way. I lost almost ten minutes at this moment, and then unfortunately I had to end my trip to Egypt. I have left a message to the hotel to adjust the monitoring, but I don't know if there is any feedback and whether it can be found. At present, people have been to Tunisia to play, and the cash euros for the hotel are not enough!
