"Location is superb, close to Sapporo Station and Odori Park. Breakfast was delicious, but didn’t change at all between days - which isn’t a big issue. Room is small like typical in Japan, but clean and comfortable. Lastly, the rooftop area has an incredible view of clock tower in odori park that you can enjoy together with a cold beer from the vending machine there. Onsen is also on top floor and is top notch. Would stay again when in Sapporo, safe choice."

"I booked a standard room and was given a high floor on the 28th, which offered a fantastic view. The hotel's decor is very practical, and the huge windows provide an excellent view. The hotel service is absolutely top-notch. I highly recommend purchasing the hotel breakfast; the 35th-floor restaurant offers a stunning view, and the breakfast food itself is also outstanding. The only minor drawback is that there's construction below the south-facing rooms, leading to a bit of noise during the day. I assume north-facing rooms would have a similar issue due to the JR line. The window soundproofing is fine, but the design of the emergency escape device seems to allow noise into the room."

"If you're a Chinese tourist, don't set your expectations too high – it's just a basic hostel. Expect the lower floors to be equivalent to a 170-250 RMB standard in China, and even a 'premium' room shouldn't cost more than 400 RMB. The hallways are so narrow only one person can pass at a time, and there's no wardrobe in the room; clothes have to be hung on the hallway wall. You can't even lay your suitcase flat on the floor! I've never stayed in such a terrible room, and the pricing is incredibly unstable. I booked it for just over 1000 RMB, but after checking in, I found the price had dropped by more than 300 RMB. If you don't check the prices carefully, you'll get ripped off... Luckily, Trip.com customer service was great and refunded the difference! This hotel has no redeeming qualities. Although it's close to the subway station, there are definitely more cost-effective hotels nearby, all within walking distance."

"I stayed at this hotel for all three nights in Sapporo. The first night was just a layover, and I was in a long room next to the elevator, which was quite small. I couldn't fully open my luggage, which was a bit inconvenient. The hotel is conveniently located near Sapporo JR Station, a short walk of less than 10 minutes through Tokyu Department Store after exiting the JR station. There's a convenience store right downstairs where you can pay with Suica, WeChat Pay, or Alipay. There are two restaurants for breakfast: a Japanese one on B1 and a Western one on the 2nd floor. While the variety isn't huge, the quality is good. The fruits, roasted broccoli, and roasted carrots🥕 were our favorites. The rooms aren't large, but our king room for the last two nights was on the 19th floor with a great view. The bathroom was quite spacious. We had to move the small coffee table slightly to open our two 30-inch suitcases."

"The snow right outside the hotel was so thick and beautiful, it was incredibly soothing. The kids could literally play in it from the moment they woke up and never get bored. The hotel itself was good, clean, and the staff were polite and friendly. It's about a kilometer's walk from Tanukikoji, and we usually walked back and forth. Because the snow was so deep, the kids would play along the way, so it took us a bit longer, but we had a great time. For going to Otaru, you'd need to rent a car for the day. There are a few ski resorts not far from here, and you can take the JR directly. One time, we dragged our luggage and gear to go skiing, only to be told that the snow from the night before was too heavy, and they hadn't had time to clear the roads, so there was no transportation. We had to drag all our stuff back. So, skiing isn't something you can plan perfectly; you also need a bit of luck, or just stay directly at the ski resort. I'm planning to stay at a ski resort for a whole month next winter, skiing one day and hot springing the next!"

"The room was decent, no bathtub but the hotel has a public bath, which is standard for a business hotel. It's near Nakajima-Koen subway station, just across the street. A heads-up for everyone, it's in Nakajima Park, so if you're not near Susukino or Odori, it's a bit of a walk. It's not out of the way, but you do have to walk. Sapporo's subway isn't as frequent as Tokyo's, so sometimes walking might get you there just as fast. It's quite a hassle to drag luggage and parents through the snow when you can't use the underground walkway."

"An absolutely perfect experience! This hotel, built in 1934, is nearly a century old and exudes a profound sense of history with its distinctive Japanese-Western old money charm. The lobby and public areas are understated yet sophisticated, with exquisite attention to detail. The room was impeccably maintained and felt brand new, not at all dated. Even the bathroom facilities, like the drainage and ventilation, were modern and completely odor-free. The service throughout our stay was exceptional, showcasing traditional Japanese hospitality at every turn. We were incredibly lucky to be assigned a large Hollywood Twin room in the East Wing – a spacious 40 square meters, easily accommodating two 28-inch suitcases and two snowboards with plenty of room to spare. A delightful surprise at night was catching a glimpse of Sapporo Tower from our window. The twinkling tower lights paired with falling snowflakes created a truly romantic scene. The breakfast was excellent, easily on par with some of the best hotel breakfasts in Hokkaido, offering everything you could want. A special shout-out to the apple pie for dessert – it was absolutely delicious! Thank you for taking such good care of us during our stay. We hope to visit again someday!"

"The room was spacious enough for four suitcases. We also enjoyed the hot spring bath upstairs. My travel companions loved it! There's a convenience store right downstairs, which was very handy. I especially loved the pillows in the room; I slept so well every night that I wish I could buy one to take home. It's only a 10-minute walk to Daimaru, Susukino, and Tanukikoji. The airport limousine bus from New Chitose Airport stops right in front of the hotel's South Wing, and for the return trip to the airport, you just need to cross the street to catch the bus. Super convenient! I'll definitely book this place again on my next visit."

"I arrived in Sapporo late at night and took a taxi from Sapporo JR Station to the hotel, which cost about 1800 yen. The next morning, as I pulled open the curtains, I was absolutely stunned: before me was a beautiful world of pristine white snow, with Nakajima Park spread out in full view. I was so grateful for the clear blue sky, allowing the distant mountains to be clearly visible. It truly lived up to its name as a 'room with a view.' Although the facilities are a bit dated, the room layout is very practical, and the bathroom is spacious enough. The bedding and linens are all of high quality.
The breakfast buffet was plentiful and excellent. Eating breakfast in the ground floor restaurant, with its large floor-to-ceiling windows, and watching the snow silently fall from the trees was an indescribable pleasure.
Even better was the hotel's location for transportation. Nakajima Koen Station's Exit 3 and Exit 1 are only a two-minute walk from the hotel, making getting around incredibly convenient!
The front desk service was also impeccable. We stayed for a total of three nights, but had to switch rooms for the third night. When we returned in the evening, the staff had already moved all our luggage to the new room. It was a very thoughtful gesture."

"The hotel was excellent! The room was spacious, the view was great, and everything felt brand new. The staff provided exceptional service too. We dropped off our luggage early before heading out, and when we returned to check in that evening, a staff member escorted us all the way from the ground floor to the 9th-floor lobby. Our room was already assigned when we gave our name, and our luggage was already waiting for us inside. The breakfast was also absolutely fantastic – delicious and fresh, especially the sashimi rice bowl. My 6-year-old son even got a complimentary breakfast. We also dined at their French restaurant for dinner. For three people, we ordered two full courses and a children's set meal, which only came out to 1500 RMB. The best part was that each dish was paired with a different wine, offering incredible value for money. This hotel truly offers a luxurious experience; I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!"

JJiaoxilaoshiThis is by far the best onsen hotel I've ever stayed in! It's located around Jozankei town, with a shuttle bus service from Sapporo, making it very private and quiet. The room is spacious enough, and the private onsen is excellent – my skin felt so smooth after a soak. The bedding was comfortable, and the pillows were quite high-tech. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a healing view of the snowy landscape, and if you're lucky, you might even spot a raccoon! The service was top-notch, patient and enthusiastic. I have to rave about the food at this hotel; the Italian dinner was incredible, every dish was superb, using seasonal local ingredients and beautifully presented. After dinner, you can even take some rice balls, desserts, and drinks back to your room. The hotel has a smoking room and vending machines, so you don't have to worry about going hungry. I'd love to come back again in the summer if I get the chance.

My room was as requested, 524. I booked a king room and it met my expectations. The design is lovely. The bathroom is not huge, but is well appointed with a bath and a separate shower. The room is very quiet and I had a very pleasant sleeping experience.
The hotel and my room are in excellent condition, with a high standard of decor and presentation. Clearly recently renovated. The design is first class. It combines a beautiful Japanese style, with classical and traditional designs. The result is very pleasant - Chic!
WiFi worked well. The room airconditioning was a little too hot for me, so I turned it off, and that was fine for me. The two guest’s lifts are fast and worked well over the six floors.
House keeping is also of a high standard as you would expect from a high end Accor hotel. This is especially so in Japan where service is an art form.
I had access to the executive lounge. It was a good experience. It provides a comfortable and cosy atmosphere, and the food quality is nice. The chefs are friendly and caring, thank you James. The lounge staff are first class. Thank you very much to Yokiku, Kaumini and chief Minoru for your attentive and excellent service. I appreciated your kind service.
The only negative I am sorry to say is the occasional noisy foreigners who don’t appreciate the quiet, polite, refined and subtle Japanese culture.
The location is convenient, and is about 15 minutes easy walk from the main Shinkansen station. Being in a built up area there aren’t any views of parks etc, but rather the city landscape. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk to a variety of wonderful shopping areas.
Additionally, there are major shopping malls in the Shinkansen station area. Nearby, you can find many restaurants that should suit most people’s cuisine, budget and type of food.
Taxies are available at the hotel entrance. Buses and subway stations are nearby and provide access to various parts of the city. There are several attractions within 30-60 minutes of the hotel such as temples, museums and regional attractions. Ms Takako provided excellent suggestions.
To be fair, I read the Hotel’s web reviews. I noticed that the negative comments were from years ago, before the hotel became an Accor hotel two years ago. I noticed most of the more recent reviews are positive.
A special thank you to all the other warm staff for their excellent and polite hospitality. Having experienced hotels in every continent, this one stands out. The service and attention to detail is in a class of its own. Clearly, this is a special Hotel - undoubtedly, due to the hotel’s leadership.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the General Manager, Mr Ted Kitahara, and his management team. Mr Ted introduced himself to me by chance. He made me feel very welcome, and was most kind to enlighten me about the hotel’s design and its interesting history. I hope to meet the Japanese architect one day!
Overall, an extremely pleasant and first-class experience. I look forward to visiting again.

AAnonymous UserI had a wonderful stay at Sapporo Stream Hotel from 11–18 April, in a Superior+ room, and it exceeded my expectations.
The room was modern, spotless, and well designed, with ample space to relax after a day of exploring Sapporo. The highlight was definitely the bed and mattress—I slept incredibly well every night, better than at home. The room was also quiet, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, including a large-sized Panasonic air purifier/humidifier, which was especially helpful in the dry weather.
The hotel location is unbeatable—subway is direct access from the basement, connected to Cocono Susukino shopping mall, and within walking distance of Ramen Alley, Ichiran, EDW pancakes, famous soup curry spots, and Nijo Market. It made getting around and dining out extremely convenient.
I stayed for 8 days and really appreciated the daily housekeeping (not always common in Japan). There are washer-dryer on Level 8 (4 in total). A tip: avoid doing laundry at night as it gets busy—afternoons are much quieter. Using the time to shop or grab lunch nearby works perfectly. Also, don't overfill the machine; slightly more than half full works best and helps clothes dry more efficiently.
Overall, everything felt well-organised and guest-focused, making the stay very comfortable and stress-free. I would absolutely recommend Sapporo Stream Hotel and would happily stay here again on my next visit.

GGuest UserThe hotel is short distance away from the major sightseeing spots at jozankei, but still walkable distance. That allows a tranquil and relaxing environment which you can truly enjoy the stay and immerse yourself into the nature. The resort is beautiful and room is super spacious. The buffet is wonderful. All the food are very fresh which make you feel very healthy. The onsen are nice. However, I found the temperature of outdoor bath too high. I feel recharged after the stay, both physically and mentally.

GGuest UserVery comfortable stay for my family!! Room is big, clean and nice, facing nice view, woke up happily everyday. Sufficent space for us to open luggage. breakfast is delicious and large variety as well, front desk and staff are so polite, the only downside is it’s like 8 mins walk from Sapporo station, tho it’s only a straight line walk, not hard to navigate. If I were to go back Hokkaido for trip, will book again!!!

AAnonymous UserLocation: If you couldn't book the hotel's free shuttle or the Kappa Liner bus, you can take rapid bus #7 or #8 from Sapporo city center to Daiichi Hotel Mae, and the hotel is right there. There's also a bus to Sapporo Ski Resort that stops at the same platform.
Room Amenities: The room was clean, tidy, and very spacious, and it even had its own private hot spring bath.
I booked a package that included breakfast and dinner. The food was just okay, but there was a self-service bar and some snacks.

ZZhi鿏For its price point, the environment is mainly good for taking photos. The hotel itself isn't very large, just average. There are a lot of Koreans, so if you're just looking to snap some pictures, it's fine. But if you're coming for a relaxing vacation, I'd seriously reconsider.
Now, about the service—I've stayed in many hotels at a similar price, and none have given me an experience like this... We arrived around 1 PM, and upon entering, we wanted to ask if we could leave our luggage while we went out for lunch. Before I could even finish my sentence, a male staff member blurted out in English: ”Go outside.” We were completely stunned, not understanding at all what he wanted. If they didn't want us to wait in the lobby, that's one thing, but to just blurt out something like that with a straight face, without any explanation, I truly don't understand what that staff member was thinking. When we left, it was the same male staff member. We were putting on our shoes by the door, and he took away the shoehorn that was right beside us, as if he didn't see we were about to use it. It was absolutely shocking.
The other staff members were also just average, even cold. But after that initial 'thunderclap' of an incident, everything else seemed minor. 🫡
In short, if you don't want to get annoyed, do not come to this hotel. Forget hotels at the same price point; I haven't encountered service like this at any normal hotel.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located between New Chitose Airport and Sapporo city center. It takes about half an hour to reach Sapporo. If you're looking to shop, staying in Sapporo is more convenient. However, this hotel is a good option if you have an early flight the next day. The room had a very strong disinfectant smell; I suggest the hotel improves its ventilation.

XXiaocaosxFacilities: The facilities are comprehensive, quiet, and clean. However, as others have mentioned, the bathroom is a bit dated. The bathtub creaks when you step into it, and there's a noticeable layer of dust on the ventilation fan when showering.
Cleanliness: It's clean and hygienic. If you put the magnetic 'please clean' sign on the door in the morning, they'll clean it. If you forget, they'll still hang fresh towels and toothbrushes on the door.
Location: The garden view room faces Odori Park, with a large window offering beautiful views. It's very quiet at night, and the convenience store downstairs is great for snacks, late-night meals, and breakfast. However, it is quite a walk from the subway station; the closest exit is Odori Station Exit 1, about 200-300 meters away.
Service: The service was satisfying, and all the staff were very polite. Upon check-in, I was pleasantly surprised to find 8 bottles of natural water on the table, contrary to some reviews that mentioned no bottled water. This made the experience even better.
Exclusive Guest Lounge: From 3 PM to 9 PM daily, you can use your room card to access the lounge on the first floor for a self-service afternoon tea. They offer classic items like Jaga Pokkuru (Potato Fri Brothers), Rokkatei, Royce, as well as hot beverages like coffee and cold drinks like oolong tea and orange juice. Highly recommended!

NNG CHEAU CHENGI stayed here for five days and four nights. The room was very spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The mountain view from the window was breathtaking. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is located right next to the famous Nakajima Park, and the snowy scenery there was absolutely beautiful. It’s also very close to the Nakajima Koen subway station, which made getting around easy. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
