Hotel Sosei Sapporo MGallery features 118 luxury rooms and suites all with complimentary WiFi and sustainable amenities. Merging Hokkaido's pioneering spirit with contemporary style, our five-star international boutique hotel offers a unique blend of global hospitality and personal charm. Superbly located in the landmark Sapporo Factory complex, we are seconds from world-class shopping and entertainment, while our chic international restaurant celebrates seasonal ingredients sourced from across Hokkaido.

"The 39 sqm room with two queen-sized beds was perfect for our family of three. The facilities felt high-quality, but it's a shame the minibar was so small and there were no complimentary or even paid drinks in the fridge. The breakfast buffet restaurant was beautiful, and over our two-day stay, some main dishes were rotated. They even had soup curry and gluten-free bread, which was a first for me and a very thoughtful touch. Fresh mozzarella and homemade herb butter were also available. However, it was surprising that the restaurant didn't serve lunch or dinner; only the ground-floor lounge offered some simple meals. The hotel's facilities were also a bit limited, with no pool, hot spring, spa, or business center, just a small gym on the ground floor. Most of the guests seemed to be Westerners, suggesting it's primarily a leisure-focused resort."

"Location: It's about a ten-minute walk from Sapporo Station. It was a bit of a hassle dragging my luggage in the snow at night when I didn't know the way, but it was easy to find my way in the morning. It's quite close to Odori Park and also convenient for catching the bus to the ski resorts. Service: The front desk staff, whether speaking Chinese, Japanese, or English, were all very attentive. They asked detailed questions and were prompt and helpful with booking taxis. Room: Not particularly large, and opening a suitcase was a bit difficult, but the king-size bed and mountain view made up for it, which I found acceptable. Cleanliness: I didn't notice any uncomfortable dirty spots. Dining: The breakfast was excellent, offering everything you'd expect. Even during the peak Chinese New Year period, it wasn't chaotic. The service in the restaurant was great, though the restaurant's front desk staff seemed a little irritable."

"Very comfortable stay for my family!! Room is big, clean and nice, facing nice view, woke up happily everyday. Sufficent space for us to open luggage. breakfast is delicious and large variety as well, front desk and staff are so polite, the only downside is it’s like 8 mins walk from Sapporo station, tho it’s only a straight line walk, not hard to navigate. If I were to go back Hokkaido for trip, will book again!!!"

"This was the biggest room we stayed in during our Hokkaido trip. The interior has a charming retro feel, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. From the window, we enjoyed breathtaking 'blue hour' views. Right downstairs, there's a bus stop that takes you to most of Sapporo's popular attractions. The view outside the hotel, especially with the snow, was unexpectedly beautiful. Plus, there's a large Lawson convenience store right across the street, which was super convenient for late-night snacks or breakfast. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and even gave us tips on fun activities for the Snow Festival."

"I booked a standard room and was given a high floor on the 28th, which offered a fantastic view. The hotel's decor is very practical, and the huge windows provide an excellent view. The hotel service is absolutely top-notch. I highly recommend purchasing the hotel breakfast; the 35th-floor restaurant offers a stunning view, and the breakfast food itself is also outstanding. The only minor drawback is that there's construction below the south-facing rooms, leading to a bit of noise during the day. I assume north-facing rooms would have a similar issue due to the JR line. The window soundproofing is fine, but the design of the emergency escape device seems to allow noise into the room."

"Hotel is in the city centre and quite close to the basement metro. We can walk to the beer museum and the tanukikoji shopping street nearby. It's also a short distance walk to reach the underground shopping shops, which was very convenient. However the hotel doesn't provide hot water refills at the lobby, refills are only reachable inside the breakfast diner. We ordered hotel breakfast for the first day of stay but not for the second and third night, but the breakfast diner's receptionist still kindly let us in for refills of the hot water. Breakfast is on moderate level and menu variety could be better still, regarding the price paid. Not much seafood options to be found, besides the mini sashimi don."

"I arrived in Sapporo late at night and took a taxi from Sapporo JR Station to the hotel, which cost about 1800 yen. The next morning, as I pulled open the curtains, I was absolutely stunned: before me was a beautiful world of pristine white snow, with Nakajima Park spread out in full view. I was so grateful for the clear blue sky, allowing the distant mountains to be clearly visible. It truly lived up to its name as a 'room with a view.' Although the facilities are a bit dated, the room layout is very practical, and the bathroom is spacious enough. The bedding and linens are all of high quality. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and excellent. Eating breakfast in the ground floor restaurant, with its large floor-to-ceiling windows, and watching the snow silently fall from the trees was an indescribable pleasure. Even better was the hotel's location for transportation. Nakajima Koen Station's Exit 3 and Exit 1 are only a two-minute walk from the hotel, making getting around incredibly convenient! The front desk service was also impeccable. We stayed for a total of three nights, but had to switch rooms for the third night. When we returned in the evening, the staff had already moved all our luggage to the new room. It was a very thoughtful gesture."

"An absolutely perfect experience! This hotel, built in 1934, is nearly a century old and exudes a profound sense of history with its distinctive Japanese-Western old money charm. The lobby and public areas are understated yet sophisticated, with exquisite attention to detail. The room was impeccably maintained and felt brand new, not at all dated. Even the bathroom facilities, like the drainage and ventilation, were modern and completely odor-free. The service throughout our stay was exceptional, showcasing traditional Japanese hospitality at every turn. We were incredibly lucky to be assigned a large Hollywood Twin room in the East Wing – a spacious 40 square meters, easily accommodating two 28-inch suitcases and two snowboards with plenty of room to spare. A delightful surprise at night was catching a glimpse of Sapporo Tower from our window. The twinkling tower lights paired with falling snowflakes created a truly romantic scene. The breakfast was excellent, easily on par with some of the best hotel breakfasts in Hokkaido, offering everything you could want. A special shout-out to the apple pie for dessert – it was absolutely delicious! Thank you for taking such good care of us during our stay. We hope to visit again someday!"

"This was my third stay, and I chose this hotel again because my previous two experiences were so good. However, this time was truly unacceptable. We arrived at the hotel around 11 AM. My daughter had injured her leg while skiing, so we asked the middle-aged woman at check-in if we could check in early. She said yes, but we'd have to pay for an additional day – what a rip-off! The funny thing is, they told us we could wait in the lobby until 3 PM without paying. The lobby was nice, so we decided to wait there instead of wasting about 1700 RMB. But then, to our surprise, we saw the staff taking our luggage and other belongings to our room much earlier, while we weren't allowed to enter. Crazy! On top of that, the Wi-Fi signal this time was incredibly poor, almost unusable. Reporting it to the hotel didn't help either; we had to use our own data. So, this stay was truly, truly, truly disappointing! Attached is a photo of my daughter in a wheelchair, and they still wouldn't let us check in early. That middle-aged woman was so inhumane!"

JJiaoxilaoshiThis is by far the best onsen hotel I've ever stayed in! It's located around Jozankei town, with a shuttle bus service from Sapporo, making it very private and quiet. The room is spacious enough, and the private onsen is excellent – my skin felt so smooth after a soak. The bedding was comfortable, and the pillows were quite high-tech. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a healing view of the snowy landscape, and if you're lucky, you might even spot a raccoon! The service was top-notch, patient and enthusiastic. I have to rave about the food at this hotel; the Italian dinner was incredible, every dish was superb, using seasonal local ingredients and beautifully presented. After dinner, you can even take some rice balls, desserts, and drinks back to your room. The hotel has a smoking room and vending machines, so you don't have to worry about going hungry. I'd love to come back again in the summer if I get the chance.

AAnonymous UserI had a wonderful stay at Sapporo Stream Hotel from 11–18 April, in a Superior+ room, and it exceeded my expectations. The room was modern, spotless, and well designed, with ample space to relax after a day of exploring Sapporo. The highlight was definitely the bed and mattress—I slept incredibly well every night, better than at home. The room was also quiet, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, including a large-sized Panasonic air purifier/humidifier, which was especially helpful in the dry weather. The hotel location is unbeatable—subway is direct access from the basement, connected to Cocono Susukino shopping mall, and within walking distance of Ramen Alley, Ichiran, EDW pancakes, famous soup curry spots, and Nijo Market. It made getting around and dining out extremely convenient. I stayed for 8 days and really appreciated the daily housekeeping (not always common in Japan). There are washer-dryer on Level 8 (4 in total). A tip: avoid doing laundry at night as it gets busy—afternoons are much quieter. Using the time to shop or grab lunch nearby works perfectly. Also, don't overfill the machine; slightly more than half full works best and helps clothes dry more efficiently. Overall, everything felt well-organised and guest-focused, making the stay very comfortable and stress-free. I would absolutely recommend Sapporo Stream Hotel and would happily stay here again on my next visit.

JjaneshiluI booked this hotel three months in advance. Taking the bus from Sapporo directly to Shiraishi Waterfall Station was much more convenient than taking the subway and then finding a shuttle. The hotel was meticulously cleaned, and we waited until 3:30 PM for check-in. The buffet dinner was good, but the breakfast wasn't as lavish as at The Windsor Hotel Toya. We caught a heavy snowfall, and soaking in the outdoor onsen was amazing. There was a harp performance, and the surrounding area was also nice to explore.

AAnonymous UserLocation: If you couldn't book the hotel's free shuttle or the Kappa Liner bus, you can take rapid bus #7 or #8 from Sapporo city center to Daiichi Hotel Mae, and the hotel is right there. There's also a bus to Sapporo Ski Resort that stops at the same platform. Room Amenities: The room was clean, tidy, and very spacious, and it even had its own private hot spring bath. I booked a package that included breakfast and dinner. The food was just okay, but there was a self-service bar and some snacks.

ZZhi鿏For its price point, the environment is mainly good for taking photos. The hotel itself isn't very large, just average. There are a lot of Koreans, so if you're just looking to snap some pictures, it's fine. But if you're coming for a relaxing vacation, I'd seriously reconsider. Now, about the service—I've stayed in many hotels at a similar price, and none have given me an experience like this... We arrived around 1 PM, and upon entering, we wanted to ask if we could leave our luggage while we went out for lunch. Before I could even finish my sentence, a male staff member blurted out in English: ”Go outside.” We were completely stunned, not understanding at all what he wanted. If they didn't want us to wait in the lobby, that's one thing, but to just blurt out something like that with a straight face, without any explanation, I truly don't understand what that staff member was thinking. When we left, it was the same male staff member. We were putting on our shoes by the door, and he took away the shoehorn that was right beside us, as if he didn't see we were about to use it. It was absolutely shocking. The other staff members were also just average, even cold. But after that initial 'thunderclap' of an incident, everything else seemed minor. 🫡 In short, if you don't want to get annoyed, do not come to this hotel. Forget hotels at the same price point; I haven't encountered service like this at any normal hotel.

DDarunwanThe hotel was very nice. We got the corner rooms (208-209) and they had nothing to complain about. Spacious than most standard rooms in Japan. Our room has sofa and a table. Separate toilet, washing basin zone, and the shower room has a bathtub and a shower head separately. (I don't like thw combination one so i purposely chose this type of room) The cleanliness was superb, you can put the card on the bed and the sticker at the door to sign them to help clean the room and change the bed sheet. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, hair dryer, robes, air humidifier, kettler, few glasses and mugs, air freshener spray, slippers, laundry bag (for laundry service). Staff were nice, breakfast buffet was great (no need to book in advance, can pay upfront) The closest stations are the Tozai Line (orange): Nishi juitchome and the Namboku, Toho, Tozai Line: Odori station.

GGuest UserThis hotel is a hidden gem! If you're looking for great value for money, book it without hesitation. It's located right next to Nakajima Park, so the surroundings are very peaceful. The rooms are around 30-something square meters, which is quite spacious for Japan. I stayed during the Spring Festival for just over 1,000 yen a night. The transportation is also convenient, being close to Exit 2 of the Namboku subway line and the Yamahana-9jo streetcar station. The service was good, check-in was quick, and the room was very clean. I would definitely consider staying here again.

FFang1381997This hotel seems quite popular with Chinese tourists. Sitting in the lobby, I almost felt like I was back home, it was so noisy – probably all tour groups. The room was really small, and the heating was turned up way too high. The facilities are a bit old-fashioned. The window was surprisingly large, which is rare for Japan. Breakfast didn't offer much variety and the taste was just so-so. Overall, it was an average experience.
