Hotels in Taipei Railway Station Area, Taipei

The hotel is located at an extremely prime location, where majority of attractions, necessary train stations, and tour group meetup points are just a walking distance away (5-20min walk to all). Finding the hotel was a bit tough as there was no bigger signage at the lobby area indicating the hotel's existence (7th Floor of the building). 4 elevators service the floor, which is quite ok but tends to be full and an issue near checkout time (11am). Staff are kind and explain everything. There is a pantry with free water, but no snacks unlike other hotels that give snacks. During our stay, there was construction going on which made the hotel lobby quite busy and noisy during daytime. The other guests are also quite noisy even in the middle of the night. They clean the room every 3 days but strictly only upon request, but they change the towels daily. They allow luggage storage after checkout. Overall I'd stay here again primarily because of the location's convenience and kind staff. There are clothing and trinket shops outside the building; it is near a famous beef noodle house.

The hotel generously upgraded our rooms from twin single beds to twin double bed. The location is absolutely fantastic and strategic as it is located just across major transportation nodes for HSR, Local Train and Metro. The rooms may look a bit dated but if aesthetic isnt a major concern, all else considered, it was a convenient and pleasant stay.

Location was great. Lots of food options before 8pm. Just walk a block or two and you will have lots to pick from. Near metro, trains and airport MRT. Use the underground malls to get to the airport instead of walking above ground. Z8 or z6 exit but no escalator. We seem to have gotten a non-renovated room. Wallpaper and ceiling peeling. Carpet stained and covered by stained kitchen mat. If we complained, we could have gotten moved to a hardwood floor room and they seemed to be renovated. Unfortunately the bathroom was a deal breaker. Shower head was near the chin for this 5'7”person. Pressure was good, but the drain couldn't handle it causing the shower to puddle up. Deal breaker was the toilet and not being able to flush toilet paper. No thanks to throwing it in the bin. Unfortunately we booked 4nights quickly and lost the whole amount due to no early checkout or refund policy. Tldr: good budget hotel, good location, bathroom and room need updating Toilet paper in bin.

YMCA Youth Hostel is located near Taipei Main Station, in the heart of Taipei. ”diet” There are many takeaway train lunch stalls and special snacks nearby. 『Geographical location』 In the central area, there are many cram schools and claw machines. If you want to go shopping, you can go to SOGO department store 5 minutes away/the book city opposite. Room Facilities It is similar to other youth hostels, but the bathrooms are equipped with a 1400W 110V hair dryer, a bidet, and a bathroom heater. The water in the shower head does not fluctuate between hot and cold, and the water pressure is very stable. The wardrobe includes several hangers and a small safe.

Convenient property if only traveling through for a day or two. I stayed in the most economical room which barely had room for the mattress and a small shower space, so the price definitely reflected that. Very responsive staff and friendly amenities though nothing more than snacks and drinks.

We stayed at the Palais de Chine twice - one night before a 5 day tour and 3 nights after. We had a Superior King room on both occasions that was at a corner so we had windows on two sides. We could sit in the circular bath and look out over Taipei Main Station! We managed to leave a couple of items behind after out first stay but the hotel was able to return them to us when we stayed the second time. We found all staff members to be friendly and helpful. Note it takes a good 10 minutes to walk through the shopping centre maze to get to / from the MRT to the airport.

We loved the very accessible, reasonable price, service, easy check in and check out, bed is firm enough for good back support and good sleep, it was truly a great stay . The only problem we encountered is that the noise from hallway and other rooms can be heard in our room.

To the very beautiful and kind female staff members I was initially worried because my flight arrival time was earlier than the check-in time, but the hotel kindly offered me early check-in and even upgraded my room. The room was very comfortable, and the location was excellent—close to both Taipei Main Station and Ximen Station, with plenty of great restaurants nearby. There is a staff member who speaks Korean very well, and she was so cute and friendly. I wish I had brought some Korean snacks to give her. I also parked my rental car in the hotel’s parking lot, but the payment machine was only in Chinese, which was confusing for me. Thankfully, a very beautiful staff member kindly helped me through the process, and I was able to finish without any issues. This hotel not only has a great location and excellent room conditions, but its greatest asset is definitely its wonderful staff. Thanks to all of you, I had such a wonderful trip to Taiwan. Super convenient for Taipei Central Station and the MRT to the airport, with it's own entrance way to the subway system 50 metres from the front door of the hotel. Its also well located for good shopping, and the Peace Park and the Taipei Museum. Classic old fashioned service awaits here, with friendly staff who speak good English and well furnished rooms with superior bathrooms. I got an upgrade to a room with a window which was a bonus, even though I was in and out of the hotel mainly after dark so didn't get to appreciate it. The bed was very comfortable and the WiFi was good and strong. There's an in room fridge and coffee maker too, and lots of nice touches all round. Buffet breakfast on the 3rd floor was very good and plentiful, and check in/out was smooth and easy. The bedside light and alarm controls were a bit confusing, but I figured them out in the end. The only annoyance was the silly AI or Alexa box on the bedside table that kept talking to me at random times but didn't respond to any voice commands, so a bit useless. Overall, a great stay and I will return here again next time I visit Taipei.

The location is convenient, right next to Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. There are many snacks and McDonald's downstairs. It costs 1400 to check in, but you have to wait until 1600 to check in. Check out also costs 1100, not 1200. Please be careful. However, the staff are nice and will give you grace time to pack up and leave. The environment is crowded and only suitable for one person to travel. The environment is quiet and the sound insulation is good. Water and hot tea are available free of charge at the front desk. There is no refrigerator or disposable slippers in the room. You can pick up reusable rubber slippers at the front desk. There is a shared refrigerator at the front desk. The water level in the bathroom had a peculiar smell.
