Stayed 3 nights at Hotel Midtown Richardson — overall a pleasant and convenient stay. The location is excellent — right next to MRT Ximen Station (Exit 4) and just a short walk to Ximending shopping area. It’s also very convenient for day tours since the meeting point was just nearby. The room is clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom setup. However, the room itself is quite compact, with limited space for luggage. Still, it’s great value for money if you prioritize location and cleanliness. Would definitely recommend it for travelers who want easy access to transport, food, and shopping in Taipei

The hotel is conveniently located next to Wanhua Train Station and just a short walk from Longshan Temple Metro Station. There are plenty of eateries in the surrounding neighborhood, making it easy to find meals nearby. Like many hotels in Taiwan, early check-in is not allowed, and all guests can only check in after 3 p.m. Check-in is done through a self-service machine, which feels somewhat impersonal for a hotel at this price point. The room is clean and modern, with a comfortable bed. However, it doesn’t provide complimentary bottled water; you’ll need to use the water dispenser next to the elevator.The gym is very small, equipped with just treadmills, and there’s also a small pool with a lifeguard on duty. Remember to bring a swimming cap if you plan to use the pool. There's also a play area for children which I didn't see anyone ever use.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with modern amenities and a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of delicious food, and the restaurant’s service was top-notch. The location is also perfect — close to major attractions, restaurants, and transportation. I especially appreciated the small touches, like the welcome drink and daily housekeeping. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations and provided a relaxing, enjoyable experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Clean, free coffee available 24 hours, water dispenser + snacks provided. The room doesn't have a lot of space. But can carry 2 25-inch suitcases at the same time. Soft mattress. Bathroom separates wet and dry. But the shower area is a bit narrow. Large people may feel uncomfortable. There is no flushing hose. Traveling to Taipei Main is about 500 meters. There is a 7-Eleven nearby. (But not open 24 hours) You can inform the housekeeper to come clean every day.

Im alone but the room is so big — they provide good for families room. More blanket and pillows. Clean with free slippers and water. Self check in and check out which is nice. Near to Ximending. Recommend to stay for fam and very affordable. When I come back, i’ll make sure to book in this hotel. Thumbs up

Chose this hotel because it has Jap style toilet bowl (warm seat & smart bidet) + it is near all our fav food joints. It provides real towel & towel floor mat. Shower room glass door closes well so no water flowing all over bathroom floor issue. As the hotel entrance is in the backlane with 3 access lanes, suggest to give the 2 addresses shown in the photo I took instead of 105 Xining Road. When I used the address: Lane 34, Section 2, Hankou St, the taxi stopped exactly right at the entrance to the lane leading to hotel entrance. Suggestion: Only 1 mirror in bathroom is not enough. Will be perfect if they add a full length mirror on the wall in the bed room near power socket so one person can use hair dryer to style hair or do makeup while the bathroom is occupied by the other person.

Great Location, Friendly Staff, and Thoughtful Amenities – But Bathroom Needs Attention We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and found many things to love. The location is excellent—just a short walk to metro stations and bus stops, and about 15 minutes on foot to Ximending. It’s close enough to the action but still quiet at night, which was perfect for us. There are also several kid-friendly attractions nearby, which made getting around with our son easy and enjoyable. The hotel offers a free shuttle service, which is a great convenience, although it would be even better if it started earlier and ran more frequently. One of the highlights of our stay was the free guided tour—our guide was amazing! She spoke fluent English, was very knowledgeable, and made the experience truly memorable. Another charming feature is the old-school snack corner, which is complimentary for guests. It’s a nostalgic and fun touch. It’s not available 24/7 (unlike another hotel we stayed at in Taiwan), but since it’s part of the restaurant area, it follows their opening hours—which is understandable. The staff deserve special praise—they were consistently helpful, proactive, and kind. From check-in to daily interactions, everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The rooms have recently been renovated and look fresh and modern. I particularly appreciated the switch from carpeted to hard floors—it feels much cleaner and more hygienic. The room itself is spacious, with ample closet space, and the layout is thoughtful, especially for families. However, the bathroom design could use some improvement. While I liked the concept of having a bathtub in the shower area—great for kids to enjoy a bath without splashing everywhere—the tub design wasn't very family-friendly. It's a Japanese-style, tiled tub with sharp edges, and I got scratched multiple times. It doesn’t feel safe for young children. The wooden rack and bucket also had visible mold, and mold was beginning to appear around the tub edges as well. This was disappointing, especially since my son has sensitive skin and developed a rash after using the tub. Despite the bathroom concerns, we still had a great overall experience. I would recommend this hotel for its convenient location, friendly staff, thoughtful services, and family-friendly features—just be cautious about the tub if you're traveling with young children or anyone with sensitive skin.

Hotel was new and clean as well as room design was modern. Location was good which very near ximending plus there were alot of restaurants near to hotel. Breakfast variety was good and breakfast restaurant view was fantastic where u van view nice bridge and river.

Perfect location! Just cross the street and you’re right in the heart of Ximending — Taipei’s most vibrant shopping area. The MRT Ximen Station is only a few steps away, super convenient for getting around the city. The room is clean and comfortable with a cozy bed and all the essentials provided. Staff are friendly, helpful, and speak good English, making check-in and check-out smooth and easy. Overall, it’s a great stay for couples, friends, or families who want to be close to the action — safe, convenient, and excellent value for money!

Room was spacious enough for 4people. If you like good view from the windows, don’t get this type of room. But since we always close the curtains it’s alright. Bathroom: water often leaks out of shower since no partition Amenities: basic only(shampoo, body wash, and hand wash, disposable slippers). Other amenities you have to buy your own now Staff: 3.5/5 some staff are very accommodating. Lobby staff were nice, staff from breakfast room also nice. Housekeeping staff are often rude when talked to. My sister and aunt staying in another room had a bad experience with a staff rudely talking about them in mandarin thinking they do not understand his language. Location: walking distance to ximending night market. 7eleven just outside. Near train station too
