I booked this hotel for the proximity to the KTX expo train station and the ocean view. Even though I had booked for an ocean view room, the room they gave me had an obstructed view, not really a true ocean view like other hotels in Yeosu! Very disappointing!
I am satisfied with everything, from cleanliness and friendliness to the location. Another thing I am satisfied with is the swimming pool; the kids absolutely love it.
The facilities were incredibly clean, making for a very comfortable stay. The room was spotless, and the sauna was meticulously maintained by a staff member who constantly cleaned the fixtures. Itโs the first time I've seen a sauna without a single hair! The cypress wood bath in the sauna smelled wonderful and was so refreshing. I used the sauna both on the evening of my arrival and the next morning โ I wish there was a discount for repeat use! After the sauna, there are massage chairs on the same floor with an ocean view, and best of all, they're free! I lost count of how many times I used them.
I also really enjoyed the breakfast. Some reviews mentioned a lack of variety, but I found it to be very substantial. They had Yeosu specialties like *gat-kimchi* and *gejang* (marinated crabs), along with other local dishes, and everything was delicious without being overly seasoned. It really made me feel like I was truly in Yeosu.
Overall, the service was excellent. When I called the front desk about food waste from my late-night snack, they promptly came to collect it. And at checkout, I even received a cute cookie! Staying at Hidden Bay reminded me of some regional hotels in Japan. It truly feels like a hotel firmly rooted in local character. Thanks to this, I had a truly wonderful and relaxing time, and I'll definitely be back when I visit Yeosu again. (This is a genuine review from my own pocket!)
The issue with this hotel room is that when you adjust the temperature, the air conditioner/heater makes consistent and weird noises. I stayed in a corner room on the 6th floor, and the shower was clogged. Not to mention, skip the breakfastโitโs not worth the money, as thereโs barely anything to eat. The staff were attentive, but overall, this hotel is not recommended.
I visited after the Hwasun Red Cliffs tour. Perhaps because it was remodeled, the facilities were clean and the bedding was nice and fluffy, so I slept well.
When I woke up the next day and enjoyed the sauna at the hot spring, my fatigue was completely relieved. There are a lot of things to do in the resort, such as a game room, bowling alley, and karaoke room, and there was also BBQ chicken, so I enjoyed my meal. I couldn't go to Aquana because I was tired, but I plan to use it the next time I visit. It's a shame that I couldn't use the outdoor hot springs because it was the off-season. But overall, I was satisfied! There's Gwangju Lake Park nearby, so it's great for a walk~
Big luxurious hotel, good value for money depending on your deal. Nice breakfast but strange that you have to pay to enter the swimming pool. You can zip line from the top floor, nice views of the surrounding area.
Great location.
I didn't eat the breakfast buffet because it was expensive.
It seems like it's getting more expensive, but if the menu is really satisfying, I'd like to eat it next time.
Ocean Jacuzzi Suite is fabulous! Stunning views, warm & modern layout, versatile space, and the jacuzzi is top-notch. Perfect for couples but with the benefit of the extra two twin beds that can be partitioned off from the main common space w/ a separate bathroom. Look at the hotel's dedicated website for the actual floorplan since it's hard to tell on aggregate sites. It's definitely a tourist hotel which means lots of people, especially on the weekends, though the room is ultra quiet. Patience is needed for the elevators since there are so many floors, and those afraid of heights need to know that while the views from the suite are spectacular you definitely feel it, especially on the outdoor balcony or by the bay windows! Restaurant & convenience store downstairs and a great area to stroll at night since it's in the Expo area and everything is lit up. For the rate, this is an aboslute banger of a deal depending on when you book:)
I used it for a business trip.
It was in front of the Peace Square, so it had a nice atmosphere. It was nice to just take a walk. There are some good restaurants in front of the hotel. The clam and octopus salad is the best... haha
What's disappointing is that I made a reservation that included the breakfast menu, but the counter was so adamant that they thought I had made a reservation by mistake and said it wasn't available... I was embarrassed.
If I hadn't brought a printed copy of the reservation email, I would have starved. You can't make a mistake like this~
The ultimate paid-for stay
I had high expectations for this my third visit, but overall, I was very disappointed.
My previous two stays were ocean views, but this time, I had a forest view, and the view of the artificial bamboo seemed a bit lacking. I had a child, so when I moved the bed to put it together, a lot of ramen crumbs came out, which was disappointing for the hygiene.
The most disappointing thing was that the surrounding area was blocked by Winter Village, blocking any ocean views. Mankai was also expensive, and I had to pay at a kiosk and serve myself, which was disappointing.
Parking was inconvenient after eating at an outside restaurant, and I ended up taking a taxi on my second night. Due to the numerous inconveniences, I'll probably choose a different accommodation next time.

๋ฐ๋ฐ๋์ฌ๋๊ทฌSince there are no hotels above 4 stars in Mokpo,
I moved to Yeongam and stayed there.
Yeongam and Mokpo are so close that the location was the same, and
the accommodation was clean. (The sheets were a little torn, but that's okay.)
Cleanliness is the most important!
There were no inconveniences related to the accommodation,
but when I arrived on the day, there was a wedding at the hotel.
The parking lot was full. There was a lot of double parking.
The hotel definitely needs to improve this part.
They park in front of the lobby, which is really
I've never seen this before in all the hotels and resorts.
Really, guests should use a different place than the parking lot.
The hotel needs to manage it.
AAnonymous UserIt is in a great location for traveling to Haenam, Jindo, and Mokpo, and since it was newly remodeled, it was clean and nice. Above all, it was a great place to spend the Chuseok holiday quietly.
As it is a remodeled old building, the noise in the hallway is on the louder side. Since it was the first stay after opening, there was a minor incident during the preparation process, but thanks to the kind and quick response, I had a good rest. I think I will stay here again next time.

GGuest UserThis was a nice place to stay with a wonderful view. Though you have to be aware it is not close to the main touristic attractions. Moreover, the building is quite old and you shouldnโt expect perfect cleanliness. Indeed, I would have appreciated the hot tub to be cleaned before we arrive, and there were some cobwebs on the mezzanine. With such a wonderful view, itโs too bad that the windows are not well cleaned either. Last negative point, the โcurtainsโ don't block out the light so you shouldnโt be too sensitive if you expect to sleep in the morning.ย
Regarding positive sides, beside the view and quiet location, the fully equipped kitchen is really convenient. You can also control the heating system which is very efficient to warm up the whole room. The electric heated blanket was very comfortable in winter as well!ย
I guess you get what you can expect for this price!
KkwakjeongchiOverall, it offers excellent value for money! All rooms are sea-facing, and there's a parking lot conveniently located on the ground floor. Both Ganjang Gejang Street and Lotte Supermarket are just a few hundred meters away, making them a short walk. You'll also frequently find mobile fruit stalls nearby selling very affordable produce.
GGuest UserAlthough my room was small, it had everything I needed and was quiet and clean. I was particularly happy with the shower - plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Moreover, the front desk and housekeeping were all very professional and helpful.
I chose the hotel because of its proximity to some of the places I wanted to visit and because it was close to the waterfront. I quite enjoyed my walks there mornings and evenings. It also turned out to be right across from Lotte Mart Maxx and within a 5-minute walk from both Daiso and Paris Baguette.
Breakfast was included in the extremely affordable price. It was not gourmet but perfectly adequately and filling. If I ever return to Mokpo, I will certainly consider staying at Hound Hotel.
EEva M FernรกndezThe facilities are a bit old; even the sheets are patched.
It was difficult to find the hotel because the reception is accessed through the parking lot. This is probably because it's a love hotel and guests prefer privacy.
The room is large and quiet. The bed is comfortable. The room has a TV, refrigerator, kettle, hairdryer, and hair straightener. There are chargers for electronic devices.
The bathroom is large, has a bathtub, and they provide shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. There are toiletries in small bags. Pajamas and slippers are also provided.
There is coffee and a microwave in the reception area.
The staff is very friendly.
We didn't like: there's no wardrobe, and you don't know where to put your clothes; there are only two hangers on the wall. It's probably intended for a one-night stay. The towels are hand towels, not bath towels, making it very difficult to dry yourself properly. But without a doubt, the worst thing is the smell. It smells like old tobacco; it's so strong it's almost like garbage. The lights are difficult to adjust. We didn't even know how to turn off the bathroom light without turning off all the others.
