Worshiping Buddha in Ang Thong 🙏🏻 “Wat Sangkratai”

The Fine Arts Department excavated and found many ancient cups and bowls. The temple is not very big. The community area is very shady. It is worth paying homage in the old chapel covered with Bodhi trees. Wat Sangkratai is an ancient temple from the Ayutthaya period. The walls of the chapel are held together by the roots of Bodhi trees and Banyan trees. There is no back of the chapel, so the light shines through the branches, making it look very beautiful when taking pictures. It is recommended to come at noon. Wat Sangkratai is located in Sala Daeng Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ang Thong Province. The chapel is over 400 years old. The only remaining part is the chapel wall, which is covered by 4 Bodhi trees and held together by the walls in a 4-cornered position. There are 3 rooms in the chapel with a principal Buddha image and 4 Buddha images in total. In the first room, Luang Pho Kaen is enshrined. In the large room in the middle, Luang Pho Wan Dee, Luang Pho Si, and Luang Pho Suk are enshrined. The last room is the room of Grandfather Rishi. The window can look directly into the Buddha image, and the wall is supported by the roots of the Bodhi tree.
