Several boundary stones were found buried outside the wall. An official with the position of Nai Sarab (in the Department of Phra Surassawadi) named Nai Sangkh was the one who built the temple. When they asked for the royal permission to build a boundary marker, the builders argued and fought over who would use their names as the temple's name. 🏚King Rama I said that the temple built by Nai Sangkh and Nang Jai Not worthy of the royal consort like Chao Chom Waen 🏡 Built the Ubosot and built a new kuti. 🙏 While digging to build the Ubosot, found one Phra Kajjai and one conch. Only the conch was damaged. The Phra Kajjai was kept in the temple. When it was completed, it was named Wat Sangkhakrai. 🏠 The Ubosot is small. Inside, there are murals. The principal Buddha image is a stucco Buddha image, lacquered and gilded, in the Mara-Vijaya attitude. 🧱 The glass wall has 4 entrances and exits. The door arches are in the style of King Rama III. 🙏 Phra Wihan Luang Pho Kajjai has 24 standing and seated Buddha images. 🙏 Luang Pho Kajjai, the one excavated when the temple was built, was originally enshrined in the Wihan. However, a thief stole Luang Pho Kajjai and returned it.
