Pay respects and make wishes to Luang Pho Phet at Wat Sing, Bang Phlat

🏡 Wat Sing, Bang Phlat was built in 1783 during the early Rattanakosin period. The area where the temple is located was once a military camp. The temple was likely built by a general of that time after a war to cleanse the sins of battle. Some sources say it is an ancient temple dating back to the Ayutthaya period, originally named Wat Sing Ngern. The important and interesting features within the temple are as follows: 🏕 The Vihara is the original ordination hall. Inside, there is the principal Buddha image in the Māravijaya posture, an U-Thong style bronze statue, flanked by two chief disciples. It is currently used for religious ceremonies. In 2011, the temple underwent restoration due to flooding. 🏠 The new ordination hall was built around 1959.
